I don’t see the point of producing a bike that is currently not road legal. Brilliant as it might be.
You can ride them on private land, but yes it’s the law that needs to change in our opinion
You can ride it in Ireland and rest of Europe
You only need a motorcycle licence and insurance, Although then you cannot ride over parks.
@@wielkiehuje no you can't . dunno about Ireland but i'd be surprised if it was different to the rest of Europe, the rest of europe require the motor to be a nominal 250W and marked as such. Fiido would struggle to do this as their bikes weigh several tonnes

God I'm so annoyed, I'm so utterly annoyed. I've been looking at e-bikes and I'd love to get one of these LONG RANGE e-bikes so that I can go most places with it but the frankly STUPID (!!!) laws are making sure that I still have to have other options.
Here in Sweden where I live I can only have a single motor at a maximum of 250W and from what I understand it can't even have a throttle! These laws apply to the old e-bikes and needs to be updated ffs!
IS THE PLANET DYING OR NOT!??? I thought it was because they can't seem to shut up about it when they need you to vote a certain way or do something to be more "eco-friendly".
Why would you make it harder for people to replace fuel-driven vehicles!?? If you are going to force me to register a moped then I'm going to get an actual moped you absolute goofs!!!

Watching this bike speed towards a parked car with the door open & a person getting out into the path of the bike, I’m beginning to think the 15mph limit isn’t such a bad idea 😬

Sorry, but illegal for a reason. It’s the equivalent of a moped and therefore needs a a competent rider and necessary insurances. Chuck it in the river! I did start by saying sorry😂

If you've got a motorcycle licence you only need insurance around £80 job done.
@@tonyrobinson362 sadly not true either. the machine needs to be type registered then mot'ed , needs legal lights, and brakes, and numberplate. then you can ride on moped license with insurance
Please be careful. Car drivers will look straight at you, see you and still pull out right on top of you. Been riding a motorcycle for 40 years and I still ride with paranoia. Thanks for sharing…from east Tennessee.

Maybe, but he was definitely going to fast in some places, like over that narrow bridge he couldn't see if anybody or thing was coming up the other side, and when he said a car nearly took him out us because again he waas too fast, and when he approached the woman getting out of her car, and what the heck is a froccle 😂?

@@RobandLynnontour ah that's good. Did some research and it's not too difficult to get it registered and insured, £55 DVLA fee and £25 insurance per year, tax is free
Excellent bike, you can use it on the road with a motorcycle licence, insurance and numberplate. The UK electric bike laws are a complete embarrassment and need changing immediately.
In my area in Wales food delivery riders have had bikes confiscated and now use old cars to deliver.

I was pondering this bike for two months, then settled for the T1 Pro. The main reason is the battery range, 20Ah for T1 vs. 15Ah for the Titan.

Rob a little advice if you have the time , I am on the point of buying but torn between this Titan or the Fiido T1 Pro , I know you have tried both do you have a preference between the 2 bikes the Titan has a smaller battery but general ride and build quality between the 2 , if you had to choose 1 no choice lol , which would you buy ? I know it is down to the individual in the end and wont hold anything against you on the choice , that is down to me lol . thanks

I didn’t think you could have an a bike that you could just use the throttle, though they had to be pedal assist. My old one was so much better for taking off up a hill with throttle
Hi throttle only in the uk is not permitted in the uk for some strange reason 🤷♂️ for people who aren’t very fit having the opinion of throttle assist to us is fantastic it gives many people the freedom to get out there 👍
That is an impressive bit of kit, the acceleration is amazing and 240 miles is quite a range even if it drops 50% in real world situations. Nobby done a great road test, the Jeremy Clarkson of E-Bikes 👍

I assembled my new Fiido Titan Ebike this morning and had the most amazing ride ever. The quality and performance truly impressed me. I'm excited to go out for another ride tomorrow morning.

@@darkknight6508no, certainly not, the law is 250watt, 15.5mph, no " froccle" sorry throttle lol.
In April 2024 the government ofthat time waslooking into changing the law so we could have 500w motors and a froc... Throttle but still limited to 15.5mph, which really is all we need, my Fiido C11 City Bike has 500watt motor and a fum.. Thumb fr.. Thumb Throttle, the thumb throttle is good for pulling off at junctions etc, other wise in sport mode ( you can go into rocket mode unlocking the speed by pressing down and holding the M button until a symbol with a rocket appears and that will take you into 29mph l tried it up to 26mph on a mettaled length of railway line and it felt far too fast, I'm no wimp but if anything emergency had happened l would have been in a crash, but as l said Sport mode is more than adequate l live near Redcar in the north east of England in a small village surrounded by hill roads pretty steep ones too, but they dont exist when in sport mode on my bike even normal gets you up most with very little effort, but sport just glides you up em, so new limited is a good idea, the whole point of an electric bike for me iss to get me up hills with very little or no effortfrom me saving both me from a heart attack and my new hip replacement from last year, maybe I've grown more cautious at 67 years of age but I've had motorbikes and cars and the speeds different on those plus other motorists expect you to go faster, but when they're at a junction and see what they think is just an ordinary pushbike approaching they reckon they can pull out and be long gone by the time you get there, but when your stealth riding at near 30mph you're suddenly on them and then it could be fatal more for you than them, the trouble is as e bikes were not in the motorists consciousness yet being a relatively new thing, and such an increase in speed is goingto take them by surprise.
500w and throttle yes faster than say 20mph no in my opinion.
For what its worth, otherwise you're entering motorcycle territory involving licenses, insurance, reg plates, learners stickers, urghhh..
I don't know if Labour will follow up on the case for 500w, they should do as its a greener way than motorbikes and cars, especially for city roads, but the need for a throttle and the 500w is needed to make it more attractive to new buyers, as l said l had a hip replacement and my bikes been a boon with its hill smoothing power and throttle, powered assistance is great while in traffic but junctions and turning small circles is dangerous with assistance as it will force you out further and faster than intended when youre just learning.

This bike looks almost exactly like the Haibike I was trying out. What a great deal. I've watched a few videos about this Fido but your video sold me. Cheers buddy 🎉💯

I think for them to be legal they’d have to sort the insurance issue. I can see a lot of issues in a crash situation.

Hi Rob and Lynn another great video as usual people keep telling me the batteries on these bikes are not safe and keep putting me off what are your thoughts on this.
Hi and thank you, as long as they are marked with CE then they are approved, we would never review one that hasn’t
The ones that are dangerous are usually bikes that have been made up by individual not using the correct and CE approved batteries

@@RobandLynnontour my first car was £750 . There’s lots of e bikes that cost 1/2 the price of the bike you showed.
Not expensive as E bikes go.
@@scotiajinker8392That's £2200 with 3 Batteries. It's £1500 with a single Battery which isn't an outrageous price for the spec. Yes, you can get bikes that cost less, even ones that cost less than your first Car but you pay your money and take the chance. How is it even relevant how much your first Car was, anyway? My first Car cost about a third of the price of my current Mountain Bike and that certainly isn't anything special (nor was the Car).
I don't think this bike would be for me, mainly because I need something that would at least pass for legal at first glance and I'm seriously in the market right now but price isn't a criticism I could have for it.
Yeah l love the bikes but getting up past 2grand you can get a decent used car, l have the Fiido C11 city bike £817 its fantastic, so l dont see the need or justified costs of bikes 2 grand or more, when l first wanted an ebike l went to a local bike shop, he asked my budget, l grudgingly said £1500 not really wanting to pay that, barely keeping himself from laughing in my face he took me to a rather nice looking ebike, not bad l thought must be worth a grand,he said " this is our cheapest its £3,500... I couldnt help myself l said look mate if l was spending that kind of cash l would get a car and be able to drive in all weathers and be warm n dry, thats silly money for a mountain bike with a battery shoved up its jacksie. I was escorted from the premises toute suite. 😂
Got mine today , its a beast lol . slight disappointment just a niggle really , any scrote playing about with it when it is locked up outside a shop can turn on the power , I thought it had a password lock code instead of a key so it could not be turned on oh well can't have it all , best not forget to chain it up everytime I won't be able to run fast enough to catch a thief stealing this bike 🤣

Lock it up and do what l do an alarm in one bag and another under the seat, if anyone starts to mess with it 112decibel alarm goes off if they manage to find that the others still going and attrcting not just your attention but many others too, where l live if they caught someone trying to pinch it they serve natural justice, ive seen a few idiots grabbed by passers by, because many have family who have had bikes stolen, bike theft is going down now because they get arrested by the public 3 or 4 angry blokes grabbing them and roughly handling them is quite effective, but the police take a long time to turn up if they even bother, one would be thief was dragged to the cop shop because no police came, it went on the local tv news and radio and newspaper, the police got a rocket up them and have started appearing much faster, tho once we were in an lceland car park a thief was caught with a chisel tampering with a bike the cops were called but no response in 25 mins, meanwhile in the next car park in sight of us was a police van with 2 cops in we went across and told them what had happened, nothing they could do they sid they were on an official break and not allowed to work in it. 😮
