Thanks for sharing my comment with the rest of your subscribers. I really do enjoy my Adv 150 the looks and the performance are just bad ass. I think these bikes are going to be around for awhile they have already been around in the non American market for a few years.
No problem! Thanks for your comments. Yep, mine will be around for a long time I know that!
You touched upon a good reason as to why Americans don't buy these type of bikes,if they live in an area where the commutes are longer these bikes are impractical, but in an urban setting a large city with a lot of lights and stop signs these Honda's are the perfect commuter vehicles, just the right size and power for cities like New York,Chicago Philadelphia,Miami these bikes are golden in those environment.
Thanks again for the comment! Agree!
I think I mentioned before to you that the the 160cc version is not sold here in Taiwan. The reason is that if your are looking for a 150cc scooter there are so many other options. As I mentioned before bikes and scooters under 250cc are not allowed on expressways or highways. The 350cc sells ok, but the one that people want is the 750cc.
BTW Scott . Here in Taiwan Honda just released a special limited edition of the X-ADV 750 version for Chinese New Year next month. When I head to Honda next week if they still have one I'll take a picture and email it. It comes with the following.
Colour - mat black
2 panniers from SW-Motech
1 Lone Rider motorcycle tent for camping.
North Peak camping stove
1 Montbell Ultralight sleeping bag.
1 Honda 290 portable power station. (290Wh and 110V AC outlet) can be charged by the ADV.
2 five litre jerry cans.
You know what funny when I hear from Americans say motorcycles or cars are not convenient. I slightly have to laugh.
This is the kind of thing I hear.
1. Oh the weather. What if it rains.
Get rain gear or just change cloths.
2. The weather is cold.
Get cold weather gear.
3. What if I need to go shopping?
I doubt you're going shopping every single day.
4. Of the summer is too hot.
Really? Are you serious? First it's you say it's too cold and now you're complaining about the heat.
5. I need to bring my kid to school.
Get them a helmet.
And others.
I think I mentioned to you when we chanted. I had a friend who a couple of years ago moved back to Seattle with his wife after being here for 20ish years. He told me after a few months he ended up getting a scooter in the US as he missed the convenience. Now actually him and his wife don't live in city itself, but in a place called Snoqualmie Pass, about 86km from Seattle. And he uses a Yamaha Xmax almost daily to go to work and also got extra grippy snow tires for winter. He told me he does get looks in winter. But, with heated grips and winter gear its no problem. Riding his Xmax from his home to his office is said is about an hour, but if he takes his car it can be an extra 45minutes to an hour because of traffic and then trying to find parking. His wife uses the car because she is very closer to home and the car once a week for shopping. And he needs something at the shop during the week, just zips down.
Thanks for this Keith! I agree, it's all what you get used to. Human beings adapt well to most everything, they just have to get past what's been in their head holding them back. Many women in America work and I don't see too many of them opting to ride motorbikes and I'm thinking of my wife right now. :) It would certainly mess her hair up wearing a helmet! Just one quick example and she's not alone. This is why vehicles are more practical for them. Only about 20% of women in the US ride motorbikes according to the Internet. It's even less when they may have to commute to a job I'd imagine. But I hear ya, and I think more men and women should try to ride and purchase a bike that's not a challenge to operate. I think this scares many females off right from the start. In the summer months in the US you'll see more bikes on the roads, but when the cold hits they are back to traveling in their warm vehicles with heated seats and steering wheels. I'm guilt too! Again, it's all what you get used to and there are many ways to ride in the winter, I know. I'm just too lazy and cheap to buy proper winter gear. Anyhoo, thanks for your input my friend. I think you should do a review video on that X-ADV 750. That might be fun.
Enjoy your videos i ride a Yamaha x max 300 absolutely love it enjoy scooters so underestimated
@@terrystanek3591 That would be interesting to compare the two. Double the power, double the fun? Not always. 😂 It's the two wheels that matter I say. Thanks for the comment! 🙏🏼👏🏼
The X Max is very popular here in Taiwan, but only the 400cc version. Yamaha only ever imported the 400cc version. The 150cc version was never sold here. It was rebranded as the Force.
I’m a new subscriber and recently bought a 2023 adv 150 and absolutely love it.. I find your videos very informative.. I’m a woman 58 years old and I enjoy working on cars mowers and now my scooter.. bc of your videos I changed the gear oil and motor oil on my scooter at 700 miles.. I called Honda first to make sure it wouldn’t void my warranty lol.. thank you for your videos 😊❤
@@dovelynn8916 That's great to hear! So I assume it didn't void the warranty because it's a maintenance process. Good idea to call to be sure. Gear oil doesn't need changed as often, but I figured I'd show how anyway. Motor oil is most critical on a regular basis. Thanks for being here and glad you enjoy the channel. ✌🏼
@ thank you and in the future I may be needing some advise and very thankful for your channel ❤️🥰🕊️
Hey buddy. Great video. Thx for sharing 💪🏼💪🏼
@@Julio-bc7pj Looking forward to MotoGP in the spring. Getting Max! 🏍️💪🏼✌🏼
Nice video I have 2700 miles on my ADV 150 now got it stored for winter because I live in Pa. but was riding till the snow and salt started great scooter like you said I also have a 750 Honda Shadow for work or long rides just so I dont get run off the big roads. Now that I am 52 years old I like the smaller bikes and scooters I just picked up a used kawaski KLX 230s for my son to learn to ride on the road so when he is done and moves up to something bigger ill keep it for my self.Keep up the nice work.
@@grayeagle4521 I hear ya, my son learned to shift on a Honda Grom. His next bike was a Harley. 🤷🏻♂️😂 Not for me, but they look cool. Thanks!
I had a PCX 150 and I would have gotten a BMW C650GT, but they stopped making it. So I'm on my curent bike which lead me into teaching people how to ride motorcycles. My brother has my PCX 150 and he loves it. I wish Honda would bring the X-ADV or the Forsa 750 to North America.
It's cool you're teaching others how to ride. Nice! That is a must for anyone buying a motorbike.
Have you considered switch to ADV 160 or 350?
@@skyspheremalaysia5137 Nope, I enjoy this just fine. No reason to. ✌🏼
Unfortunately the 350 isn't sold in the US market, I wish Honda would bring it here but so far nada.
@@SimonRiley752 I totally agree here. A 350 would be everything I want. Power, not too heavy, super convenient, and very capable. If it became available I would trade in my 150. That said the 150 is really awesome and a great bike for inner cities or rural backroads. I don't want a loud heavy bike.
I would buy an ADV 350 in a heartbeat if they would just bring it to the States.
Loved my adv 2023 ADV150
But...I got stuck for a period of time on 3 different times because of fob issues.
Tried the reset connection, finally got it going with a lot of frustration.
Finally sold the bike because of that issue.
What's wrong with a key Honda ?
@@lonerider2982 I can't blame you for that. I'd probably do the same. I've been lucky it sounds like. Agree, bring back the simple key design already! Come on Honda.
