I always saw Chuck Wagner as like a more or less classic 1930's villain while Cuccioli and Evans prefer a more modern/edgier style, Warlow somehow pulled the both of them together and perfected it.
+StaryBlaze and Mangle the Reviewist I'll definitely look into those! The Korean version (his name is Cho Seoung Woo or something along those lines) is also quite good!
I think there are only few actors who did NOT portray Hyde as a gentleman and rather as the human beast he actually is: Wagner, Chris Murray, Sebastian Bach (terrible singing though), Thomas Borchert and Chris Maxfield.
I saw him live do this show on tour...I liked him as hyde but as Jekyll he was awful..talk about leaning over to reach a note..it was painful to listen to and painful to watch!
I had the privilege to see Wagner three times as Jekyll. He never had an off day, it was 110% every time.
He's right up there with Anthony Warlow as my favourite Jekyll/Hyde.
The original and maybe the best

Omg, you just summed it up perfectly
Jack Moody Another 2 versions of J&H I would really suggest, are the Japanese version, and Marti Pellow

Jack Moody Yeah, in fact ALL of the Korean versions are amazing

I adored his Jekyll.. Perhaps you saw him on an off day....
He also created the roles in Houston and in the early demos before it ever made it to Broadway. Legend of a performer.
