Each and every time I watch Dr Lee in her procedures no matter if it's removing cyst, liposuction surgery, or this she's so masterful in her performance. We all have journeys in life and some of us miss our true path. This remarkable woman is one of a kind. I know her Father is a retired dermatologist, but her surgical expertise is a natural gift, alongside her incredible staff they make up what medicine practices are supposed to be. Love her, and all she does.
I spent all day watching aestheticians popping pimples but med school makes all the difference. Watching her move so expertly can fool one into thinking that this is easy peasy.
You have extraordinarily steady hands. You would be an amazing pianist, I bet. That kind of dexterity and control is a gift and it's similar to the kind of control I see in pianist's hands and other instrumentalists. BRAVO, DOC!!
This is exactly what I did to myself with a pair of scissors after my doctor refused to “subject me to a surgical procedure” when I asked him to remove 4 tiny skin tags on my neck that were being irritated & rubbed raw by my seatbelt. I just went home, snipped them off and found a new doctor.
Some doctor's hands are not steady enough to work with tools around the eyes. Some just don't have to enough confidence to try for fear of injury and law suit. I really do understand that.
Dr. Lee sometimes takes to herself ,you can hear her softly speaking ,so funny ,as I do that myself !she has a beautiful voice that has soft tones to it! Very relaxing and comforting!!!!❤❤she has the most professional team also!!❤

Thank you for posting this. I've had these around my eyes for years and I hate how they look. I wear sunglasses all the time to hide them. I made an appointment with a dermatologist today!!
@@carylhalfwassen8555 yes I did and I had them removed. They clipped and burned them off. Painful as hell but worth it. It’s possible they can come back
@@dorothyhays4653 hi there. I had them removed and it was horribly painful. But it is now 3 years later and I’m so glad I did it. Their are still small bumps that have come up but hardly noticeable. Healing took about a week. I had it done on both of my eyes. My confidence went way up once they were removed.
@@m.esp444 Thanks for letting me know. I get little bumps,my Mom said they are cholesterol deposits. I have so far been able to remove them myself. I use a tiny sewing needle to break the skin, sterilized of course, then I have to squeeze them. What pops out is like a hard white ball. I've actually tried to pop the ball open, the insides are like the contents of a Whitehead, only thicker. I'm getting too old to be doing this myself anymore. I'm happy you answered back. You gave me hope, and maybe some courage. Thanks
Heyy doc! Question: My niece has those bumps around her eyes too. As a popaholic, i thought then to be milia, but her dermatologist said they were molloscum. What's the difference?!
They never answered you, but I looked it up. Molloscum are bumps or lesions caused by a contagious virus like a chicken pox, but not harmful because there is no fever or long lasting results. Milia are just tiny little cysts filled with keratin (dead skin cells) and have no real cause. Hope that helps! I actually plucked two little milia off my left eyelid with tweezers! I cleaned the suckers with rubbing alcohol-I still have my eye! Don't tell Dr. Lee!
Loved it. I just know that the quieter you get, the harder you are concentrating on that poor skin thing's demise. Like a deadly assassin creeping up on it! Even I find myself holding my breath for some. You have amazingly steady hands, fortuitous for a dermatologist- no? Thank you for another video, what a compliment, to be the Plastic surgeon's go to Dermatologist.... ( I know, it was his assistant, but still) xx
Even though your videos have helped me get less squeamish, I still can't handle stuff around the eye or toe nail removal dealios.... :/ Eventually I hope I can get there!! Especially since my husband has already had a toenail completely removed and the sides of the other removed, and we're just 21 years old! Haha (we're both hoping he doesn't have to go through with another removal, since both toenail removals were the sides and the growth-stunting stuff, but then one got SUPER infected and had to totally be removed, everything is hunky dory atm)
WORD. I don't even know what happened this entire video because of that hair. At lease tame it back in with the herd if you don't feel comfortable styling him. It must look much more prominent on video screen than when in a large room with natural light etc.
I read a program/post that talked about people going on a keto diet also helped people get rid of skin tags. That sugar contributes to skin tags. That people who have gone on a keto diet have seen their skin tags disappear and/or get greatly smaller. So many commenting on that program hadn't even realized they had gone away until they saw the program and went and checked and commented that their skin tags were gone or greatly reduced.
I trust Dr Lee implicitly, but I hold my breath every time she injects the lidocaine. The eyelids are so thin and the needle so sharp ,gives me shivers.
I wish you had this channel when I started high school. You teach us that not every bump on our faces is acne, which probably eases a lot of people's minds.
I felt the same! Not too long ago I got a deep paper cut in my pupil... Definitely not a good place to get cut. The pain was excruciating, and watching this just reminded me of that :P
Hey, I am in the ophthalmology field and just wanted you to know it had to be your cornea, not the pupil. The pupil is behind your cornea (the clear front lens to the eye) and is just an opening in the center of your iris. Corneal abrasions are SUPER painful, so I can imagine how bad that must have hurt!
Hello Dr. Lee!!! thank you for sharing this vid. You have taught me so much. My Husband has the same types of blemishes / skin-tags, etc. Now I Know How to remove some of them. Bless You. :)

Dr. Lee can't take a chance on her patient jumping if they get surprised by pain during the treatment and end up flinching involuntarily. This way, the pt. knows the pinch of the numbing is coming, and they will stay still. And then during the procedure, there's no risk of any surprises.
alidaches I doubt very much that it's left up to the patient. I know in dentistry, it's a rare dentist who would drill someone's teeth without numbing, simply for the reason I stated there. People think they don't want the injection, but they very rarely know what they're letting themselves in for. We can all be our own worst enemies.
ancientsgate - I used to have all of my fillings done with no numbing. Due to other health issues, I find the numbing to be sickening. Until my CRPS spread into my face, we just went without and I took a stress ball. My dentist always had to insist with new assistants that yes, it really was safe to drill through several teeth with no numbing on me. I had probably 20 fillings total done that way. (My health issues also rot my teeth. My best year in the last decade saw 6 fillings, my worst was 14.) Since my CRPS spread into my face, I have to have numbing but there can't be any epi in it or I instantly being having myoclonic jerks and tremoring. I also take Vicodin before any visit and have recently started taking a heating pad to lay on, which really helps me control muscle spasms while laying there.
@@ancientsgate I disagree that it's the rare dentist who would "allow" their patient to not get any sort of numbing done. I have been getting all my fillings and other dental work done without numbing for about 20 years now from various different dentists and never once have I had a dentist try to argue with me about it, the first time with a new dentist they'll ask you are you sure and when you tell them you don't get freezing for this ever or stitches, etc. they're fine with it. It's the patients decision, and honestly the freezing needle hurts far worse than the actual dental work does. I did get anesthetic done for dental work until I was about 8 years old because I didn't know at that age that I had a choice in the matter. I'd like you to show me a medical professional who would insist on something medically unnecessary against patient wishes, because I find it hard to believe any doctor would do that.
