How come no one is ripping the committee about putting the #2 ACC team in the playoff over the #1 ACC team. SMU got screwed. Thought it was top 5 conference champs. Not top 4
@@chuwhoturner the old 4 team playoff didn't project forward but it seems the 12 team playoff has to for seeding given the auto bids. I feel if they didn't project forward it would lead to more confusion.
@@chuwhoturner they have Georgia the first team out for a reason. The Dawgs are just not that good this year. 105th rushing offense bottom of the barrel on 3rd down both sides of the ball bottom 50 in big plays generated lead the nation in drops and turnovers. Fanboy all you like won't change any of these facts.
Penn State shouldn't be any higher than #9, and I wouldn't balk at #14, until they actually beat someone. It's all on name recognition. It's not a quality loss to Ohio State. It's them once again proving they can't get it done when it counts. Here's the thing about BYU and Indiana: Both won games against one of their boogeymen: Indiana doesn't beat Michigan. Utah is underachieving, but plays BYU super-tough. THAT'S why they moved up.
You have a big sec bias just say that. Penn state has a much better resume than Texas and it's not really even close. They have a much better loss than Texas and they have better wins Illinois usc and Washington would bust vandy. Texas best win is Vanderbilt 😅. If psu bothers you Texas should send you up a tree.
It's hard to evaluate schedules in many cases because the preconference have so few big interconference matchups. Penn State had a pretty good win at WVU to open the season, and if they beat Minnesota this week, they deserve to make it as Minny seemed to get hot (and then laid an egg last weekend, maybe not). The SEC does seem to have alot more good teams than the Big 10, but you can't really tell until they play each other more. And the Big 10's top 4 have all taken care of business. But if Notre Dame stumbles, the SEC might end up with 5 teams in and it will be even more of a SEC/B10 show.
O boy Indiana and BYU's boogeyman are 500 teams meanwhile PSU's boogeyman is the number 2 team in the country and predicted to win the whole thing.... yea your point makes a whole bunch of sense....
Every year everything works out. These rankings don't matter until the end of the season and still have 4 weeks to go. Ppl wanted an expansion well we got it, and with that are going to come at least 4 teams that don't belong. Is what it is.

They're protecting Miami to beat smu in conf championship
@jeffreyprice9790 but the rankings are suppose to be as if everything is done now not 4 weeks out

@jeffreyprice9790 then they might as well predict Georgia in the playoffs

I don't like Penn St at 4 either, much too high.
They have a better sos sor wins and better loss than Texas. If psu bothers you texas should bother you even more. Period.
