The highway contributed to the flooding of these areas. Not much engineering study was done to what would happen up and down stream. I thank all Christians who prayed that this depression would not hit us. Can you imagine if the depression had hit us and came in the night?

Are the parts of the highways built by CHEC affected by the rains in the same way and the road improvement section under the control of local contractors? Surely, there must be one standard of build and preparation to avoid this definition of madness (doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result). This is a cash-cow - wake up somebody. We're using backward methods of paving the roads before installing proper drainage structures.
