Hassan is trying to save the skin but Amna’s smirking smile says all.
    1. If we agree with you guys about the content not effecting the masses, don’t ever give us a بھاشن about toxic and abusive heroes, innocent and helpless women and cruel in laws because apparently they don’t affect people if they have good تربیت at home. So murder, drugs, homosexuality, black magic, suicide and child abuse ( proud content of Barzakh) is healthy for our society.
    2. Amna said in the previous episode “I am not against homosexuality part because apparently I am not doubting the intention of the maker”
The make himself clears his intention. So if you are not saying anything, it means you support LGBTQ agenda. period.
    3. Apart from LGBTQ crap this project has serious child abusing issues like children using slangs, adult jokes and sexual language. You guys didn’t protest about those as well. Even in India there are strict laws for child actors not to use sexual or near sexual language. But in this project the child actors are using sexual language multiple times. But no issue for you guys who are loving the project.
    4. Your over obsession with some big stars, and international platforms takes away credibility from you guys. Learn to stand your ground and call a spade a spade. Apparently, LGBTQ is new criteria to get funding and international recognition. Recent Pakistani projects like joyland , churails and others make it there because they met the criteria. India also gets its way into international platforms like this. You can’t pick any indian project on Netflix without homosexuality theme. Several Pakistani projects much better than the above mentioned never make it to international exposure because they didn’t fit into “the criteria” The intention is loud and clear. Only you guys decided to play blind.
    5. Anywhere in the world when a project comes that is against the norms and culture of a society, people protest and show their discomfort with that. You can’t tell them k ہاہ ہائے مت کیا کریں ۔. This statement by Amna alone is very insensitive and wrong.
    5. Being a religious follower of your channel, extremely disappointed with you guys especially with Amna for your 360 U turns and confused statements in recent episodes. 😢

If you know Amna and Hassan, the wife of Hazrat Loot A.S. was not even speared from the wrath of Allah because she had sympathies with the people doing homosexuality.. she herself was not involved she only had a sense of sympathy.. so evaluate yourself where are you standing.. the other sins like jhoot, gheebat are major sins but not that the whole nation was destroyed because of those sins.. understand the difference and do not just fear that what would people think of you when you meet your media friends.. they won’t even land you a helping hand at the day of Qayamah..

Hassan was a total disappointment this ep regarding brzkh, he started off by putting out right pointers n clearly pointing the wrong bits pushed forward as agenda meanwhile aamna just gushed or just silently stared n looked nonchalantly n uninterested with half hearted hmmms or quiet stares but when Hassan started to immediately tilt towards pro starstruck of fwd khan n snm saeed diplomatic nonsensical advocacy of this project n how it won't affect society, she immediately returned n hopped onto that bandwagon with full attention. Hassan I disagree with you here when you say it doesn’t affect society. This project will open gate for more similar projects. and watching stuff does normalize in people’s mind. We don’t need that in Pakistan. We are having enough influence of these things from international content already, don’t need from our own creators. When you see other topics in dramas for example women empowerment in Zard Patton ka bun, you guys yourself say that we should have more content like this to change people’s mind, then how can you say that this type of content will not affect anyone. This is contradictory to what you guys review every day.

As a Muslim there's no need to be apologetic about the boundaries set by Islam. What's haraam is and always will be haraam. No matter how many people try to normalize it, it will always be haraam (for Believers, of course).
There are various degrees of sins. The filth being shown in #NoBarzakh is crossing all boundaries. The director being unapologetic about promoting Queer themes and agendas says it all.
I often found Amna's opinions on such matters to be tilted towards the liberal secrion of the society, whereas Hassan seemed to be more grounded and unapologetic in terms of his religious opinions. Thats something i was hoping to hear.
Anyway, I'd like to believe that none of you would want your kids to utter the vulgar dialogues that the child actors had to (you know what I'm referring to) be it in the name of 'a.r.t' or whatever you'd like to term it.

AMNA the main reason that people don't react the same way for "Kapoor and Sons" was because its an Indian content from people who belong to DIFFERENT RELIGION and we can't say anything about their religion and people as we don't stant with their ideology or we don't know what their religion say about it but here the drama name, the character name and all the characters are Muslims and the story is about an ISLAMIC state.
Secondly the main issue with showing LGBTQ is not that they are showing it, the ISSUE is they are NORMALISING it and SYMPATHISING it which had not been done when our dramas show RAPIST, Alcoholic and any Corrupt people for example when in gentleman FARIS is shown drinking, flirting and taking Haram money, IT IS SHOWN AS HARAM as the father said him gunda. Which is not happeing with the character like Saif ul Allah in Barzukh. His homosexuality is not shown sin, crime or near bad characteristic.
Another thing is Hasan how can you say that content don't impact on audience when you both are most vocal person from start that how more positivity should be shown in our dramas either it should be regarding showing good neighbours or good fathers then how can you say it will not have an impact. You say that Qoam e lut ka Qisa itna purana hai but you miss that it is described in Quran as greatest sin with greatest punishment. IS BURZUKH IS GOING TO SHOW THAT PART?

Barzakh: I am a teacher by profession, and believe me, children have their way of hiding things in this age. Their parents can never dream of the way and of the things they watch. I think there comes an age of rebellion in every person, where they just like breaking the norms. And if a child isn't well cared for at home (not given the due attention from the family; playing, fun, meaningful conversations) due to the parents' busy schedule, the child ends up looking for an escape. The young minds are very sensitive. They get inspired by the content they watch very, very easily, and it also sometimes changes their personalities as well. I know it is the parent's duty to look out for them, but unfortunately, nobody's perfect.

Hassan, no one is denying that there are people like Saif ul Allah irl. If there weren't it wouldn't be mentioned in Quran. But being something is itself not a sin as long as you have control on your nafs but when the characters crosses a certain limit, its not something show able on screen. For example, Tere Bin's script was literally changed And it was you guys who disagreed to show such thing on tv , so why not diagree to show this. Also, even if the drama doesn't get so much views there are countless reels on ig of literally every mediocre dramas as well. And today there is not a single teenager who doesn't watch social media and ig in particular. And showing it on screen is definitely influencing them. if you guys appreciate good content being shown on tv then why not raise voice against something wrong ? Really disappointed.

I am honestly shocked that dialogues in gentlemen bothered amna more than what is being shown in barzakh. You can’t separate khalil ur rehman mentality from his dramas (understandably so) bht what asim said goes completely unnoticed!!! Talk about double standards. HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN IN ISLAM!! Showing it over and over again would lead to desensitisation e.g like showing domestic abuse, let alone glorifying it (which is clearly done in the drama). It doesn’t matter what other content is being shown around the world. As a muslim and a pakistani, its a-shaming that our A list celebrities are a part of it and that it was SHOT in Pakistan!! Content does effect everyone’s mind.
Jab animal jeci movie ki baat ho tou sab young minds effect ho gay aapkay according lekin aisay topics pay khamoshi. What the maker of the drama said is a clear statement on his niyat behind the project. Watching it means supporting the cause.

The way homosexuality becomes normal is by showing it repeatedly over media until it desensitizes everyone. That’s how Netflix has introduced and is constantly working to show it. Yes that one character isn’t going to normalize it but it’s paving path to desensitize individuals eventually

Whether people who are against it watch it or not, the fact remains that those who watch such content will be persuaded first, and then it will spread in society through them, influencing even more people. That is how it became normalised in Western countries. That is why such content must be banned. As a result, it does not become a social norm.

2 things that really suprise me are
    1. How can you say you doubt intentions of a project by KRQ because of his personal views but not have the same opinion about Barzakh when the director has very openly said what he thinks.
    2. Its taken US literally centuries to get to this point of acceptance of homosexuality. Till even maybe 30years back, gay was used as an insult or something implied in a funny way and then the straight character would be offended to be thought of as gay. Their potrayal of queer character have only now begun to change to where its a normal part of the storyline. And it is still not accepted by everyone. There are literally rallies here in Canada against indoctrination of kids with this stuff. But Pakistaniyon ko daikho na. Direct he jump kar re hain to the point where you’re just shrugging it off.
    3. I know I said 2 points but how are you okay with children being used in such sexual scene. That is literally playing to a pedo audience. Baaqi cheezon main west ko follow kar re ho tou do you not see the outrage there is now about kids using sexual innuendos. Bs queerness k waqt liberal hojatay hain. Confused pakistani. Aalam Barzakh is a place where only Muslims believe; thus, there can be no two opinions based on reading its title that only Muslims can understand because the title of each story discloses its text. Asim, the drama's writer, exploited the title and the popularity of Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed to market it as a masterpiece in order to apply the drama's premise from his perspective. The narrative conveys no message about reality or societal improvement. This was the most dismal drama of these legendary performers' careers.

I am actually disappointed with Amna. Irony is how Amna condems (@50:25) and explicitly tells she couldn't watch a mother mistreating her child due to postpartem depression but she shows no staunch concern about homosexulaity being shown in the drama. Just like watching a mother harming her baby is triggering and upsetting for you, watching homonormative relationships is triggering for many people. These are the DOUBLE STANDARDS we don't like. Somethings being allowed for the sake of diversity and somethings being condemned on the basis of morality. Anything happening in the society doesn't justify its portrayal in the dramas, if that's the case then why not show the celebrities taking a piss or taking a shit as well in the dramas, I believe they do that in reality too.
I hope you guys know that most of the people, me being one of them, follow your reviews to see what you guys have to say about the art being portrayed in our Pakistani dramas. Most of us, if not all, relate with you guys and that is the reason we come back to watch your videos again. You guys never shy away from voicing your opinions about dramas and storylines, even making fun of them at times (in a sarcastic way) that we all enjoy, nothing against that. Keeping a blind eye to this matter was bit unexpected for most us. Lastly, kudos to Hassan for at least having the courage to openly say that homosexuality aspect was wrong and unnecessary.

This is what has happened with me while watching both Gentleman and Barzakh , sadly. KRQ’s written dialogues in Gentleman now sound hollow and hypocritical, and coming from a gunda as per his own philosophy told by him in the drama. Similarly, in Barzakh I thought Saif’s personality was part of his back story and not a promotion of lgbt. But now , after Asim Abbasi’s own statement, it seems like a properly planned agenda. Pakistani producers and filmmakers have discovered the formula for a lousy project. Simply choose a controversial topic, namely LQBTQ or any other woke concept, then choose the locations that are aesthetically pleasing to watch focus mainly on cinematography and screenplay. They received finance primarily from India or any other Western countries. That's it. Here is your Pakistan's most revolutionary project. Then, they promote it as Pakistan's most innovative, one-of-a-kind, and unique project. Anyone who dares to disagree is labelled as a typical audience who only watches Saas Bahu serials and domestic violence, or they claim that this project is not for a regular Pakistani audience. Joyland, Zindagi Tamasha, and now Barzakh, all of them are examples of this formula extremely mediocre project but in good packaging.

People criticised Saifullah's LGBTQ track in Episode 3 for being unnecessary and having nothing to do with the storyline, but most people said it was depicted as his guilt and therefore necessary, but Episode 4 made it apparent that it was never simply about Saifullah's guilt. Because if it was about guilt, they would never have shown those amorous scenes between Saifullah and that Italian guy. And now, Asim's defence makes it simple that this track was included solely to lend a touch of homosexuality. As I already stated, Barzakh's plot is quite mediocre. Those who were going crazy after Episode 4 they also agreed that the plot isn't particularly cohesive.

I believe the intense backlash is because such an iconic duo like Fawad and Sanam that have a proper fan following decided to do such a drama as their comeback.
What shocks me as a Muslim Indian living in US is, the desperation these actors are showing by picking up such scripts. Pakistan did not come into notice for being lgbtq+ but because they were portraying ethical and real shows with so much respect. Deep inside what all of us want in life, that’s what we saw on TV. Even the white community is rigid to the woke ideology. So many disney movies have flopped that supported the same because people here do not want that kind of exposure for their kids.
To cater to the masses in India you cannot go on the path that Fawad is trying to embark on.
Shahrukh/Salman khan have never kissed on screen because the brand they have created is family friendly. Srk is the king of romance, Fawad could’ve been that but now I see unfortunately that we will never truly have what was initially created.

Which comes under child abuse. which is not even a debate that it is right or wrong under any religion or most regions of the world. The scene in first episode with Fawad Khan and his son in a car when they are travelling towards the castle and child actor is telling a joke about "necrophiliac" was so sickening. I don't know how Fawad Khan agreed to deliver that scene with a child actor. For those who don't know what necrophiliac is: "a person who is sexually attracted or has sex with dead bodies".

There are some scenes in the fourth episode where both fawads are just looking around like fools in color changing lights, which make no sense. What are they thinking, viewers have no clue.

Then come back to your all previous shows where you guys kept saying on every single time on every single slap to women scenes or showing bad fathers ...you always said that ": we beleive that it happens in society but we don't need to show everything in our dramas"" by your words. Then how are you saying now k "" LGBT scenes showing in screen will not affect to generations mind" That's wrong ! Pls correct yourself first.

Abuse, adultery, and murder are not considered normal in civilized parts of the world. Homosexuality, however, is the new trend. It’s not about Muslims being weak - there’s a Hadith thay there will come a time when holding of to your deen will be like holding burning coal! This display of vulgarity is gradually becoming normal even for Muslims. Did you not notice how we rolled over the floor laughing at the scene in Jafaa where the sister asks, “tumhien larkiyan nahi pasand?”? Did you ever see that ever before on Pakistani TV? Did we ever imagine laughing at such a dialogue thinking of it as harmless humour?? This wasn’t normal in the 90s, but has become acceptable now. And will continue to become extremely popular within Muslims if such content is made.

and the most prominent example is, Islamophobia....the way muslims have been presented after 9/11, has taken Islamophobia to such peaks that muslims have been brutally murdered, stabbed, ridiculed and banned....Hassan himself gave this reference....and if Hassan and Amna think that it wasn't because of the media and the anti-muslim content, than i think they should really re-think what they're doing as a content consumer and reviewer.....

We seriously need to condemn such contents, there should be no tolerance towards the ideology even in the name of art which are clearly forbidden by ALLAH. A strong reaction is coming from awam, is because WE ARE NOT BEWAKOOF. India hired our most beloved and most followed actors, quite likely they were offered heavy pay for appearing for such a project, the reason to cast sanam and fawad is only and purely for the sake of popularity and buzz. It is hard for us to process that FAWAD came after 12 years on tv and for THIS?If ZEE Zindagi wanted to showcase such project, they should have hired someone from Indian industry. Why hiring or buying our people, filming in our country and showing such stuff as part of our culture and society but covering it with the name of art ,fiction and as OTT content. A gay character would have been acceptable if you just wanted to show a gay man struggling within himself while clearly stating that its wrong religiously. We saw a gay character involved in se*ual activities in Mrs and Mr Shameem no one boycotted the series because we knew Kashif Nisar would not sell his drama on scenes for the sake of shock value . And when Asim clearly says that he and his team will vigorously advocate rights for queer people , the intention behind this is evident .

If we follow your logic, both of you should stop criticizing producers and writers whenever they cross a certain line in portraying abuse or any other social issue for that matter kiyun keh saari qoum ko wo aik character thori abuse krna sikhaa raha hai right?
    2. When a project is created by Pakistani Muslims and is intended for a broader audience, it must represent both your religion and your culture. Homosexuality, is neither a part of our religion nor our culture. Making it a part of the show perpetuates the false idea that this is who we are.

Barzakh: it's not about not showing any negativity in a drama, like murder, adultery, harassment, domestic violence or homosexuality etc. What's important is that we don't justify or glorify it in any shape or form, like Hassan and Amna have always taken a stance for. I agree with Hassan saying that just showing a homosexual character in a drama will not make people think homosexuality is allowed, however, making people empathise with a murderer and a homosexual and creating a justification for his actions is certainly wrong and will normalize these acts. We have yet to see how Saifullah's character is concluded but so far, I feel, we've only been made to empathise with him.
The whole narration of the story of the sun and the moon by the italian character and places where Salman Shahid's characters explain's to his grandson how people are afraid of certain kinds of "love" and hence they condemn it; all these parts in the drama are only added to provide a justification for adultry and homosexuality.

No, viewers don’t think Saifullah character will be the reason for homosexuality in Pakistani generation but we think after supporting his character there will be more content to support homosexuality in Islam…. That is the difference. If we don’t talk about the LGBT agenda now then this will become a normal thing to show on tv.
Hasan and Amna, don’t block me after sharing my opinion but just because you want these famous celebrities to come to your show and give interviews please don’t sugarcoat your views .

Hassan! The way you talked about toxic father in Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum is remarkable and I appreciate you for always sharing your genuine concern about the portrayal of weak & terrible fathers in the dramas. Then you guys always call out to all the writers & directors of dramas for making the same old & hideous stories in which saas is always a villain, bahu is a victim and so on. You always say that we need to stop making such stories because they do effect the mental piece of our audience and somehow people take inspiration from such dramas then how come you are ok saying whatever is showing in Berzakh which is religiously and morally very wrong is ok to show and made?? Things start from somewhere. If we don't stop making such stories, it will become normal as it has become very normal in west. We can never be ok with something which is extremely against our religion. Your show is my favourite thing on youtube. I never miss a single episode and I enjoy watching it so much but yours and Amna's opinion on homosexuality is so disappointing 😢

    @ayeshabatool5841 Месяц назад +21

you made many arguments. ill try to debunk them:
no body is saying homosexuality never existed. homosexual inclination is not a sin acting on it is! Quran and prophet warned against it and called it a sin. recent shows are still indulging in it despite knowing it will not be acceptable. the backlash shows that the vast majority is unaccepting(alhumdulillah). showing such filth desensitizes the masses. desensitization and representation leads to normalization and acceptance. its promoting an agenda.
when you have a meltdown at all the sloppy plots, irresponsible parents, regressive characters, no body disagrees. we all say we need to portray better. why? it does effect the society. you've often said 'hum logoun ko kya message dey rahay hain' what message is barzakh giving?
why is every other show containing these themes and characters, even internationally? they are pushing it. its to influence and desensitize, there is a whole movement going on in the west and backlash as well
Amna said 'saif ullah actor is not getting backlash but FK and sanam are'. did not fawad and sanam promote this? did they not know it'll no bet acceptable and receive backlash?(sanam recently confessed in an interview she gave)(fawads interview also resurfaced from his time in india supporting this) did not they act in it? were they not used as the face for this show? was not the hype regarding them? YES.
choosing a name like barzakh and then saif ullah is deliberate targeting of muslim sentiments. they have changed the whole concept of barzakh. using a free masonary symbol and what not
its shot in pakistan, tried catering to pakistanis, representing pakistanis and pakistan's culture. even if by some twisted sense it is creative liability, kya creative liability ka wahiyat hona zarori tha?
you said 'we all are muslims and know its wrong, no body is saying its right'. yet the directors stance says otherwise.
dialogue is important but tomorrow should their be a dialogue on incest, adultery, suicide, murder etc??. all these are wrong. period.
amna mentioned churails idek it had such content. why? not an active viewer neither it had such big names, was not a comback, nor was it being promoted left and right. that still does not make it right same argument for Kapoor and sons. FK playing that character does not make it right.similary any other actor doing anything similar.
you often say 'is this the image we want to portray of pakistan' in regards to regressive plots. is barzakh the image we wanna show? sth that majority is against and will never accept ,inshaa Allah.
you often view shoes just bcz of their popularity despite them having no storyline. why? for the masses. here, majority is asking to stop reviewing and not indulge yet tou are persistant. shows the double standard
do not try to come up with the argument we show domestic violence, filth in out tv shows etc. 2 wrongs do not make a right. woh bhi ghalat hai and yeh bhi.
lastly we are muslims. there is no need to show flexibility or acceptance just because we wanna appear woke(Prophet Lut's wife was not one of them but she had sympathy for them, the Quran mentions her multiple times and look what happened to her.)
there are certain topics and narratives that should not not be pursued. yes making dramas on relevant issues is important (halala related mann joggi, birth control and overpopulation in ZPKB, child abuse in udaari and so many more shows are critically and generally acclaimed) theses are issues that exist and should be worked on. not filth like this
one more thing i am so happy seeing galaxy lollywood's stance. ive noticed multiple times your biasness towards certain actors. please, its embarrassing at this point. call a spade a spade. i really hope you see the flaw iin your absurd arguments.

But i guess hum sab in cheezon ko salon se TV pe dekh ke already desensitize ho gaye hain ..😢

Barzakh is entirely following a Western agenda. The fact that it is being filmed in Pakistan with Pakistani actors is quite hurtful and not appreciated. I hope that when u review it alongside prime-time dramas, you strongly condemn such scenes and do not cater to the 1% of viewers who do not see anything wrong with it. and as u guys said its not meant for a Pakistani audience, u shud have review it under your 'Beyond Borders' series.
as it director Asim's reaction to criticism is so strong, could someone please ask him a question: if his child became homosexual one day, or if his wife does breast pumping in public for everyone to see, would he be comfortable with it? if not, why he is showing such things.

Back in 2020 I used to watch Netflix so much and it impacted my salah. I kept having waswasy in salah and I knew it's happening because of my exposure to content like money heist and elite. So I stopped watching them and before starting any series I would ask my friends if there is any nudity or not. Most of the American seasons don't contain nudity so I would go for American shows, there were some other concerns like lgbt for me so I stopped watching American shows too and now I watch Korean shows. I didn't want my mind to normalise things which aren't normal in real life, I have religious consciousness and I try to watch something which falls under my boundaries. There were times when I like homosexual couples because they were pushed to my screen and they would grow on me. Hence what we watch impact our mind, I hope this clears my point.

Our kids have watched it because A) its on youtube available for everyone to watch. B) it doesnt have any warnings whatsoever unlike netflix which gives proper guidelines on top of each and every episode of a show. Our makers should be more responsible about the way their content is being promoted
