As a manufacturing guy, I love these videos. People have no clue in the entire effort and complexity just to make these systems...which are a key sub assemblies that, minor in size to the entire boat, are so crucial to the comfort of said boat.
    Very cool facility...and products...pun intended. 😂

Watching videos like this makes you realize the staggering amount of engineering that goes into a yacht. I worked briefly at a steel shop where I worked on a press that bent steel. They also had a massive cutting machine that used water to cut. Impressive to see.

I know a lot of people find this stuff boring but I appreciate the deep dive in your vlogs into the engineering and building of all the technology that makes modern boating possible. Going straight to the top quality companies that build tenders, navigation , cooling, even sanitation systems for yachts shows the level of attention you’re giving not just to your own build but to taking all of us with you on your journey as well. It’s important that everyone gets to see the extraordinary effort that goes into building and supporting a yacht. It basically has to be a somewhat self sustaining eco system of itself. Can’t wait to see the launch of your new Bering 75!!🎉 Cheers from Florida 🌴☀️🌊⛵️🐬

I was holding my breath for launch day but these factory tours are fascinating. So don’t hurry, the more the merrier. Every time you check out the sources of your equipment and components I check out what I and friends have to see how they compare and their shortcomings if any. Modern tech and manufacturers like this who truly care about their product and buyer deserve a lot of credit.

Having watched every episode and loved seeing the perfect balance of tech detail and explanations I am so impressed.
One aspect I would love love love to see you talk in detail on (including with Alexi) is stabilizers and how the tech has changed and what your exactly having. I know you mentioned fins but what about gyro and or anti pitch trim. I know the major companies are quickly adopting all three to work in concert as they all work at different speeds. As someone who gets seasick it’s probably my biggest interest with yachting.

I worked with many brands- Marine Air Systems, Cruisaire, Neptune, Mermaid marine, Lunaire, Condaria,... AquaAir was some of the most innovative early on. The G4 variable capacity chiller with KVFR frequency drives was doing, in the 1990's, what some leading manufacturers in the HVAC world are just doing now. They were a little complex by the day's standards but worked great if you understood how to tune them & set them up correctly. I enjoyed working on them. DeWayne Nall had some good machines out there. I think he was the first to incorporate scroll compressors, too. Really miss working on boats for Larry Beard (Beard Marine) Best job I ever had.

As a former (now retired) patent attorney, I always enjoyed visiting factories to see new inventions ( or seeing the old stuff a new invention was going to replace - a patent attorney has to know the prior state of the art to understand what is new, innovative, and patentable about a new invention). Most patent attorneys also like this too, which is why my local patent lawyer association used to periodically arrange for plant tours of local factories, which were always well attended.
Since I retired and moved away, I don't get do that anymore.

I mean, these guys are protecting you from hose clamps, while modern residential HVAC manufacturers are fine with slicing you to the bone with the edge of a component door! It's amazing how you have manage to gather the best of the best companies to supply your project. And that's why I want to live in your engine room! LOL

Not metallic, for the most part. Would be fun to do it in a classy not gaudy way.

@Navy1977 - there are a lot of pieces a laser cutting table would make quick work of cutting out
Putting bike parts together with the laser welder would work but get one of decent quality one the cheaper ones burn out quickly also remember they only weld thinner material not more than a 1/4 inch thickness.

If you let the millionaire design the boat it's going to look like some ugly flamboyant piece of s*** they have no sense of style. We have to do it for them And provide tasteful designs because if they do it it's going to be ugly and gaudy

My favorite baby boat name so far is short, easy to pronounce, radio friendly, very positive, can make people smile, is regularly used by people all over the world, and it is in the public domain. People who see this name on your boat will smile, point it out to their companions, and most importantly...REMEMBER YOUR BOAT! I give you:
    The LOL!
    Be well and happy, Duke

20:50 Rico is becoming a pilot!?
    Are you making videos?
    I love airplanes and flying!
    I want to know more!
    Wishing Rico all the best!

A smart student pilot concentrates on flying not making videos.

@@marvindebot3264 Not necessarily. Having a good amount of video from the lessons will also help with the debrief after the lesson.

Titanium Count: Only 15, including the title, for a total of 35! I was going to count the words Laser and fiberglass, but my puppy demanded he go for a walk 😄
Great work! Thank you for doing all the research for my Silent 62 build! You'll be the FIRST CALL to tour it after delivery!

I am really loving these deep dives into the manufacturing of components and the build process.
I wonder if Frigibar could add yacht hot tubs to their portfolio? It would be heated water rather than chilled but thier fiberglass process and quality materials would make for some unique hot tubs.

Europe has imposed that at the end of the financial year, the warehouse must pay taxes every time, in short, no European company wants to have a warehouse at the end of the year.
