Know why I like your videos? Cause you do games that are from every console, and I legitimately haven't heard of a lot of them. I've played games on your recommendation and they were great! Thanks!
I enjoyed The Lost Child. I found the first person dungeon exploration pretty user friendly and it had about 100 demons to collect. I got it discounted on digital for Switch, it seems to be regularly available cheap.
it felt incredibly half-baked... like a mobile game. couldn't get into it at all even though i paid like $5 for it. and i love SMT and dungeon crawlers
I literally just bought The Lost Child cuz i found it for like 5 dollars. I'm enjoying it alot so far; if anyones a big fan of the first SMT Soul Hackers game The Lost Child feels very similar.
If anyones interested in the Caligula Effect 2, it isn't necessary to play the first game. You'll have a better time if you do though since you will understand the occasional references (and the bad ending). The first game is also good unless u aren't a fan of idols like Erick, cuz the music is a big part of both games.
I still have my MS Saga game, & I agree that it is criminally underrated. Unchained Blades is anothe game that belongs on this list. It's a fun take on an old school dungeon crawler.
About that _Gundam game_ I thought there'd be a funny scene that the protag would look in a regular sized garbage can, and find an arm to equip, that an 18' mechanical arm would be in an office garbage can...
Nice list, I wish I had more time, but can barely keep up with Trails of Cold Steel 3 and work and parenting. One game I hardly hear from but love it is Guardian''s Crusade AKA Knight and Baby on PS1. A great game to get into jrpgs.
The first time North America received was either Legacy of the Wizard/Dragon Slayer IV on the NES or Ancient Land of YS for PC DOS, both published by Broderbund. The DOS port of Sorcerian published by Sierra and YS book 1+2 for the TurboGraphix CD were also released before this game too IIRC.
Bleach the Third Phantom was my jam. I had to download it and then put in an English patch but man unlocking Bankai for the chosen character was awesome!
My best go to JRPG at the moment is One Piece Odyssey I love that game, love the Anime. It's an awesome game nd it's definitely worth playing hands down.
I think years ago I was THIS CLOSE to picking up Timestalkers on the Dreamcast cuz i thought it looked SO cool until my dad told me 'no, but a multi-player game you can play with your little brother'... ... so I gave up and picked some snowboarding shit at random.
Lol, Caligula is a hidden gem. The second part has problems, but the fact that you don't like singing during the battle is just a quibble. Because the fact that dungeon music turns into a full song during the battle is a cool move.
I streamed MS saga on tik tok and had 1.4 k people watching me play it. I was surprised at the amount of people who had never heard of the game and the amount of people who were so entertained by it.
I played Cross Edge... but the combat system was very... complicated and not well thought out, but once you get used to it, it was ok. lol it wasn't amazing. it could've been the better version of VP1's combat system, but it falls very short lol
Okay so I have to know what is the main character of El Shaddai have to do with that game especially considering it was essentially two story about the Nephilim
yeah and you'll be able to sell them for a buttload of money probably. i still own CIB copies of swordcraft story, dokapon journey (ds), lufia ruins of lore (gba), and riviera the promised land (gba) and the total price of the four is like 700 bucks lol.
Lagoon isn't too bad. Just generic and boring but the soundtrack does slap. It's almost worth playing the game just to hear all the music. Also, I played Lost Child based on this channel's recommendation. It's great but the story is the weakest aspect. The monster collecting was the most fun aspect for me.
The Spirit Engine 2. A small indie jrpg released in the 00's that has since become freeware. Some of the things that happen in that game are completely bonkers Highlights include a pilgrimage across an artillery firing range, outrunning a collapsing glacier, being locked in a vault by evil james bond while the city is overrun by zombies, and being straight-up abducted by a UFO I wasn't impressed by Drone Tactics. It starts off good but then becomes dull and repetitive with combat best described as "basic". Also why cant your home base be an anthill? The game should have been a turn-based RTS where you send out workers to forage for food which you use to build soldiers wait theres a bleach srpg okay i'll have to try that

The only Channel I know that is bloody honest, and sometimes shows me games I either forgot about or never knew about. Keep Rocking Erick ;)
Thanks to this video, I bought The Lost Child, which was on sale for $5.
Fun fact: kazuma kaneko actually worked on the lost child game
Nice.
The lost child is on vita too
Have you done a list of jrpg villains before? Be interested if you did
Also:
Best plot twists
Worst characters
Most likeable characters
Best level design
Weird story development
Definitely want to see that! As long as we don’t have Sephiroth at #1… he’s been on far too many lists already lol
@@OlliEGA He's also just not a good villain, banger theme but honestly so long as FF7 wasn't the first JRPG you played Sephiroth is kinda mid.
I've played MS Saga quite a bit. Insane difficulty curve (one of the few RPGs for which I use cheats), kinda shallow, but still fun.

"Winkysoft. I dont know about you, but I wouldn't trust a company with that name."
💀💀💀
I literally just bought The Lost Child cuz i found it for like 5 dollars. I'm enjoying it alot so far; if anyones a big fan of the first SMT Soul Hackers game The Lost Child feels very similar.
The contrast between the main games and The Fist of Mars is abysmal, considering that the PS2 ZoE are some the best games I've played in my life.
I had such High Hopes for "Lagoon". Eric speaks the Truth.
24:39 glad to hear somone bring up tear ring saga.

Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines looks really, really interesting and unique.
So many sweet looking games! Thank you!!

Labyrinth of yomi,
Very obscure, very good on the switch!
Tsugunai is my first ps2 jrpg, watching it on this list brings back memories. 🙂
Bleach the Third Phantom was my jam. I had to download it and then put in an English patch but man unlocking Bankai for the chosen character was awesome!
MS Saga for the PS2, Super Robot Taisen Endless Saga for the DS.
My best go to JRPG at the moment is One Piece Odyssey I love that game, love the Anime. It's an awesome game nd it's definitely worth playing hands down.
I love MS Saga!!! I still own a hardcopy of it but hoping it comes to steam.
I think years ago I was THIS CLOSE to picking up Timestalkers on the Dreamcast cuz i thought it looked SO cool until my dad told me 'no, but a multi-player game you can play with your little brother'...
... so I gave up and picked some snowboarding shit at random.
I played Lagoon and loved it.
Thought maybe I would see Bahamut Lagoon on here. But this is a good list.

The real answer is the rpg maker game I made as a kid and didn't share with anyone. Now that's obscure.
And the prices of some of these RPGs just went up from exposure.
The Lost Child doesn't appear to be on Steam in the US. It's a shame too -- I LOVE first person dungeon RPGS.
I played Cross Edge... but the combat system was very... complicated and not well thought out, but once you get used to it, it was ok. lol it wasn't amazing. it could've been the better version of VP1's combat system, but it falls very short lol
MS Saga is my hidden gem
god i want it so bad
I’ve tried playing Opoona several times. I still own it. I just need to find a way to get into it.
The bad ending of caligula 1 was sad actually.
The only time a bad ending was actually sad
nights of azure was pretty fun
Finally a steambot chronicles title!
I really liked Cross Edge even though it got some bad reviews when it was released.
TearRing Saga lmfao. If you're Dutch, you know!
“Pockymon” 🤣😭
very cool and mega interesning!!!
check out fantasy world souls if looking for a jrpg mmo
Okay so I have to know what is the main character of El Shaddai have to do with that game especially considering it was essentially two story about the Nephilim
Ah Zone of the Enders
bleach 3rth phantom is one of few strategy than i have beat
Seriously though, what is up with the hate boner for idols? I don't get it. 😂
What are the games in the intro??
Well, I’ve got 6 of them anyway 😂
Never played a kemco game
Just buy every Nis and Altus game and you’ll be good.
yeah and you'll be able to sell them for a buttload of money probably. i still own CIB copies of swordcraft story, dokapon journey (ds), lufia ruins of lore (gba), and riviera the promised land (gba) and the total price of the four is like 700 bucks lol.
You made this video and didn't bring up Panzer Dragoon Saga?!?!?!

Shame most are for consoles, at least some are for pc. These look like great games that deserve their time in the spotlight.

wait theres a bleach srpg okay i'll have to try that
Side note: Is hell particularly obscure?
Can you add video chapters so it's easy to skip to the next game? :)
How can she know more than she shows, she already shows alot 😉
lost child dont have on steam , switch vita and ps4
L take, lagoon is a legendary game!
Legendary bad
He called it a "c***sucker"
F@!% yeah!
Uh no, Robopon does not play exactly like Pokemon.
