    • @joemodest
      @joemodest 3 месяца назад +7

      More than that, this table was so slick that Johann manage to tweak his shooting/cueing/rolling earlier than Ko. This was around 3rd rack i guess where Ko missed that 6 ball and momentum changed. That's where Chua drastically changed his shots from slow rolls to make the cue ball slid and used draw shots more intentionally for positions rather than bouncing the ball on the rails

    • @IRevealTheMagic
      @IRevealTheMagic 3 месяца назад +1

      I was wondering how many others were aware of that… not many avg pool players notice the adjustments. Chua shortened his stroke, his position play was a little more simple etc…Tighter pocket tables aren’t harder to play on just different. If you are in tune with your fundamentals it’s all your pattern play after that. Choose the simplest routes that require least amount of English to none to get to your next spot and you’ve it. Most tables in USA aren’t even close to that tight or always in that new cloth condition that slamming them in and run in around the table is easy as well as forgiving so not many people practice simple and effective. Congrats to Chua

    It's a bit embarrassing how the table was playing. I like the tight pockets, but this much roll off is unacceptable at this level. The players looked like total amateurs a couple of times because of it.
    Also, the balls were way too polished, you need more friction on the balls to allow for the spin game. It's like they put silicone spray on the balls.
    I would like them to not use a brand new table for the last two days. Or at least let the players practice on it and get the cloth broken in.
