      Super Teil davon lernt man was leider wollen alte Taschenuhren nicht so Lager verharzt Unruhwelle hat einen Fehler etc

    Can I ask why the weights on the wheel are placed in an irregular order (uneven spacing) ? If the wheel was a continuous ring, would that not work just as well?

      It's all important for temperature compensation. The wheel is split because it is a bi-metal and must can move. The arrangement of the weights also contributes to balance the movement of the bi-metal.

      Þe screws on þe ring are part of þe temperature compensation alongside þe cut in þe ring itself. By removing þe screws you reduce þe compensation effect. Þe closer þe screws are towards þe cut þe greater þe reduction of þe compensation is.
      If you remove a screw you should also remove the screw opposite to þe one you removed
