I have never commented on a movie before but am forced to because I could relate to this, when I lost my spouse I thought I will never remarry until my mum spoke sense into me. I didn't want to take off my wedding ring, until someone asked me if I was still married to a dead man and that was it, I took it off and decided to move on. Shout-out to all mothers who look out for their grieving kids and encourage them to pursue a happy life. Very nice story and realistic! Is not easy but very possible.

The mother-in-law's happiness @21:09 with which she said: "I'm happy because he said he would never remarry, I read it in his diary" along with her husband's support was distasteful and absolutely selfish. The fact that they had strategically planned to keep their son-in-law in the emotional prison he had fallen into was malicious. If he were their son, would they have behaved the same way? This was a well cast movie with a lesson-filled storyline. They all interpreted their roles excellently. Kudos👏👏

It's really nice to see the love the in-laws are showering on Sam. I bet he was a wonderful son- in -law. However, they, especially the mother in law ,want to control him. They shower him with gifts, etc so he can always remember his late wife, which was their daughter. That's selfishness, in my opinion. As much as it may hurt, life must go on. Sam is a grown man and he is under no obligation to stay there. He needs to man up and get his own place . He can always visit them with his daughter.
He stays because the mother inlaw keeps controlling him with her cries
Infact it is akward if reverse was d case would they open their eyes and watch their daughter not remarry and waste away. To me it is act of selfishness

Stan's Mother in this movie is so beautiful, I mean heart wise; thoughtful, caring yet so considerate and still insist on the right things. Mercy's mother adopted emotional blackmail a whole lot...
But they are all really good actors the story line, not so regular.

I found the way Priscila treated Sam and her monitoring of him even when he's at home absolutely creepy 😳.
I'm glad she saw the errors of her ways at the end. Losing a loved one is traumatic. The husband should have sought psychological help for his family.
I lost my daughter may 9 2021 ,she was my only child, and almost everyone that I speak with thiñk I should stop grieving for her,and it's so darn hard,I see her every where I go ,I I just want to die myself

Very nice movie. Loved the ending. I did find it awkward at first that Sam lived with his in-laws, yet his wife had passed on. I liked that he did say it was for both parties to grieve and heal and also raise the baby together. Very considerate that Sam got a place closeby so the grandparents would be close to their granddaughter.

In as much as the mother in law was selfish, i don’t think she was intentionally caging him. Remember it was very hard for her to move past her only child passing during child birth leaving behind a baby. They both needed ample time to heal and accept the reality while understanding where each other’s pain is coming from. Death is the most difficult pain to accept, it’s somewhat insensitive to put a time line on someone’s pain. She just failed to see things from Sam’s shoes. We must learn to give people time to fully grieve through traumatic events hoping they learn how to maneuver through life eventually and let go so they can catch on to other beautiful things life has to offer.
This is a beautiful movie, it's real to life & a roller coaster of emotions.
'Caging' someone who has lost his/her partner under whatever form of disguise is selfish & unacceptable.

I have never commented on Mr Uchenna's movie's before but this one is very touching and realistic because I totally relate to the storyline, grieving parents can be selfish and pained but then it's not their fault, indeed life really happens ....I give it all to Mr Uchenna and all the cast and crew in this production, you all did an amazing job.. kudos 👏👍

What a moving video. It was sad to watch the parents of the deceased unable to let go of their daughter and control the son-in-law. This was an epiphany because I had never known anyone stuck in a place like this. I am happy that such a subject was made into a movie to make your viewers aware of this psychological and emotional disorder.
It's just grief and the grieving process. The shock of losing your only child at what should have been a totally auspicious and joyful moment was likely almost more than they all could bear.
Sam's mother is telling the truth. His parents -in-law are selfies and unreasonable they would not have allowed their daughter to remain unmarried if Sam was the one who died.
I agree, Sam’s mother was right. Mercy’s parents were being selfish, possessive and controlling. I understand it was their way of dealing with the loss of their daughter but it was extremely unfair to Sam.

This was a roller coaster of emotions. From initially understanding the Inlaws and seeing Sam's mother as insensitive and difficult to it turning the other way round when MIL began to overstep boundaries. I love how realistic the movie is, it is relatable. Goes on to show it takes a lot to recover from grieve. A BIG shout out to Uchenna Mbunabo, cast and entire crew. 👌Acting was impeccable 🙌👏. I love chinonso Arubayi shaaa. It is how she embodies every character. You can't help but love her baby self. Lol. Kudos all😘😘🥰

This was a beautiful movie. It teaches lessons about in-laws. None of us want our only child or any child to died but, the greatest gift they could leave with you is a grandchild. Being selfish and not wanting the spouse to be happy is selfish and unreasonable. Everyone has a right to be happy again it doesn’t dis respect the love they lost but life does go on. The ending was beautiful but, Sam had to finally realize he needed to be happy. All the actors, Stan, Priscilla, Nze, Arya, Jemima, Tobi, Mama Sam, Agatha, Nkem, HR and all other actors gave an magnificent performance and should be nominated for an award.

4 years really wasn't sensitive.. they had literally held someone's son hostage and they knew what they were doing was wrong that's why they were trying to compensate with material things.
