ABBA was the same way, No Play , No respect, Music and talent out of this world,,and against all the push back .they still sold over 350 million albums.i remember that time, the Scorpions ABBA and also ACDC as well , All 3 were unfairly all pushed back by American radio stations, ABBA and Scorpions will always be my favorites, Different kind of music, but talent light years ahead of the bands..ACDC was also a top selling all time albums band in history. Every song ABBA made was a hit, Thats impossible to do, but they did it.
I have heard this song for the first time in my life in the middle of nowhere in the southern part of mindanao performed by some local travelling band. They're a great band in their own rights those days. That was 1989 and love to reminisce it always , was 30yo then.
This song reminds me of when I still lived at home. I would be out late paryting. I would sleep in the next morning, when I woke up my Mon and Dad were at work, all the brothers and sisters had already moved out. I would play this album alot.
I used to listen to this song on repeat on my way to high school around 7:50 am every day back in 2013. I can still feel the numbing air of those January mornings when I listen to this song now. 7:50 am was when one of cutest girls in my neighborhood would walk past me on the other side of the street on her way to school. She was my first and biggest crush. But I was always too shy to approach her and talk to her. Convincing myself every time not to ruin that pure and perfect - albeit distant and one-sided - love with actual dialogue that might risk changing how I felt about her. Or was this just a paper-thin excuse I made up to prevent myself from taking the risk! Last time I stalked her I learned that she got married and had a bunch of kids after she dropped out of high school. I'm still alone, though.
Great song. Good job with the lyrics. I like when people take your approach and have simple but effective on screen lettering that works, not flashing, rotating, exploding etc. Just for interest sake, this song originally came out on the Scorpions album "In Trance" in 1975, a year before their next album "Pictured Life" was released (though eastern European releases apparently differed as often happens when music is distributed throughout differing locales in the world).
