- My Top 10 Guilty Pleasure Movies
Guilty pleasure movies are those movies, that you won't show on your DVD shelve or Netflix playlist, yet you enjoy them thoroughly! Here are ten movies I love, but that most reviewer and/or most of my friends dislike.
10. Eurotrip
9. Showgirls
8. Mortal Kombat
7. Blade II
6. The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift
5. ?
4. ?
3. ?
2. ?
1. ? Кино
I must object...neither Bloodsport nor Commando are guilty pleasures. Both are the magnum opus of their respective directors, truly seminal achievements in film - and while perhaps too sophisticated for some viewers - I *proudly* count them among my (many) 80's action movie favorites. No guilt. All that matters to me now is my Jenny...
I must say that I also quite enjoyed Class of 1984 and Showdown in little Tokyo by Mark L Lester. The director of Bloodsport, however, didn't really make anything else, so you are right on both accounts 😂
Great comment, too funny :)
@@TheEbbemonster for any real man, Commando is a mandatory movie to watch. Commando and Predator should be shown in elementary schools to teach boys what true masculinity is.
Bloodsport on the other hand is the most inspirational movie for all martial artists around the world.
@@Liquidcadmus Ha ha, but in these "metoo" days it is a guilty pleasure to like these types of ultra masculine movies 🙄 Bennet is the most masculine man around with his chainmail 😳
@@TheEbbemonster well, the protagonists in 'Commando', 'Bloodsport' or 'Predator' did not rape or molest anybody,so these movies have nothing to do with "me too" movement.
Edit, I love face off and commando and they are not my guilty pleasure,I am proud that I have watched and enjoyed them.
Commando and Bloodsport are awesome movies, no guilt.
Awesome list as always man, keep up the good work!
Thanks :D I am working on a new one right now! I hope it will be well recieved :D
great list buddy! I just watched bowfinger upon your recommendation, it is one of the few on your list I hadn't seen. it was a great movie really! my highlights are the dog in heels, melting police, and Eddie playing the dweeb 😎
I am glad you liked it! The melting police scene is hilarious 😂 I also love the "passing the road" segment, where they say it is stunt drivers 😅😂
The difference with Bowfinger is that it is genuinely a good movie
Heyy Ebbs happy new year! Man I swear you & I have the same taste in movies. Personally I totally love "Kung Pao" - "chooosen one! Look my finger points" If you watch Kung Pao on DVD & choose through the different languages, English 2 & 3 are completely different dialogue & makes the movie even funnier. Also Bloodsport & Commando were one of my earliest favorite movies as a child. I would rewind the tapes & rewatch them immediately. In Poland back in the 80s it was rare & difficult to own VHS because it was expensive & illegal to own any Western materials. In fact those 2 were my 1st American films I've ever seen.
Hey Jerzy, from this time forward you will refer to me as Betty :-P Ha ha, yeah Kung Pow is hilarious! I was not aware that there were two english dubs for the movie, I will need to check that out! For many years I remember waiting for a sequel to Kung Pow. The movie kinda reminds me of that in the movie "Top Secret!", which is also totally over the top.
I was not aware that western movies were illegal in Poland, I just though they were not imported. I remember watching a cool documentary about the black video game markets of Poland back in the 80s, where copies of western movies and video games were mass produced. The NoClip documentary about GOG also mentions it, and if you haven't watched it, it can be recommended (ruclips.net/video/ffngZOB1U2A/видео.html).
Crazy that we have such similar taste - maybe you should also start to recommend me movies :)
great video once again!
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Scotty doesn't know is still in my ringtones. 😁
Ha ha 😂😅 Such a classic!
Cool movie - Eurotrip!!! Mortal Kombat!!! Footloose!!!
Cool! I will go and watch all of them now!
Wuuup!
Fun fact: mortal combat was inspired by blood sport, Van Damm’s iconic nut punch became Johnny Cage’s attack, and he was supposed to be Johnny Cage in the game.
They were actually both inspired by Enter The Dragon, but yeah, Johnny Cage was based of Van Damme. Love that movie!
@@TheEbbemonster blood sport was inspired by Frank Dux imagination of being a spy ninja and stuff
@@huemungus1491 ha ha, that is true 😅🤣 In the sense that Frank Dux watched Enter the Dragon, and then made up his own version 😂🐉 That man is so full of shit! Several investigation have been made into his claims, and they have all been debunked. He can, however, make that cool "grab coin from hand really fast" trick!
@@TheEbbemonster wonder how people buy his shit back then, I mean how would he have hidden himself from the enemies if his belly is bulging, try hiding in a tree with your guts bulging out, he’s even lied about breaking bullet proof glass, if that was true that guy needs no door he could even punch thru a wall or shit.
Awesome list.... no guilt in any of those....
Have you seen kung fury? A must watch
I don't feel guilty, but it is the kind of movies most people do not mention to be among their favorites because they are not intellectual 😂 Yeah, I watched Kung Fury on the first day! Impressive flick! I cannot wait for Kung Fury 2, but it seems that it is having financial problems due to the Chinese investors not paying up 😭
Wow, I've still got that scooby doo movie on vhs in my attic, my 21 year old had it on repeat as a kid, it drove me mad, that and Small Soldiers, and Bowfinger is class! Thanks to you I've had an awesome movie weekend, film's I've never heard of, i laughed my arse off.
I wasn't aware that Scooby Doo came out on VHS, that makes me feel old 😅 Do you still have a VHS player? It is funny how children love to watch movies on repeat! My repeat movies were Indiana Jones and Die Hard when I was little 😍 Bowfinger is so brilliantly dumb! It is incredible that they pulled off the plot. Whenever I watch the ending of Bowfinger, I wish that the full ninja movie existed ❤️ Which movies from the list did you check out?
And Scott doenst know till this day.
I've seen every movie on this list... most of them, more than once!
Man, you have a great taste in movies ❤️
What, not one single mention of Hulk Hogan's epic Thunder in Paradise franchise, *the* finest action trilogy ever committed to film in this or any other lifetime? For shame. For. Shame.
I remember the TV-series fundly, like an 80s action-movie version of Baywatch 🤣😁 I only thought it was a series, and not movies also?
Mannequin from 1987 is my GP
That is a good pick too :)
Fantastic list!!!!
Thanks :) Have you been getting up to date on my back catalogue? :)
TheEbbemonster guilty as charged.😉
@@kurtfranklin2680 have you watched all of the
Mentioned movies? 😉 I hope you haven't watched the early awkward videos 😅😂
TheEbbemonster I have seen all those movies, yes. I will probably watch a most all your videos eventually.
Awesome list dude! Bloodsport and Commando are two of my most favorite crappy movies and I have been quoting them both for years!
there's nothing crappy about them!
@@Liquidcadmus Well I mean they aren't Oscar contenders.
They are both macho in a way that was only possible in the 80s 😁
@@TheEbbemonster Absolutely 100% spot on.
@@KG-th3cr so if movies are not Oscar contenders those movies are automatically crappy movies
Dude are you related to Arnold Schwarzenegger?
No, Arnold is related to me ;-)
@@TheEbbemonster Nice!
I was expecting those movies that didn't got much attention. Nice list, though.
They are more like "hidden gems" :) I should do a video on those at some point!
@@TheEbbemonster Yeah! I'm sure it will be an entertaining video!
@@kirbymarchbarcena it is out now :) ruclips.net/video/5y7lak7dQNI/видео.html
I Love most of these movies.
Wuuup wuuup! Did you know them all up front? :)
Another Nic Cage classic should be on here, "Vampire's Kiss ". A great place to learn the alphabet.
Ha ha, what is such an awkward movie 😅😂 I actually used a segment from it for my "Top 10 Good Bad Comedies" video 🔝
EUROTRIP is amazing and there is nothing to feel guilty about . So many parts that were hilarious " Scotty Doesn't Know" , " You made out with your sister man!" , "where's the beef". Blade 2 was the best one , awesome sound track!
Mortal Kombat for me too, and cheesy ass Road House!
And Blood Sport and Bowfinger. Is Bowafinger a guilty pleasure itself? I mean Chubby Rain, would be a guilty pleasure if any pleasure was derived from it, but did Bowfinger get bad reviews or something?
@@ZenDragonRUclipsChannel has gotten quite mediocre reviews from people in general, and it only has a score of 6,3 on IMDB. I would rate it as 8/10 as I find it super funny :D Several of my friends thinks that it is total crap :-P
Bloodsport is a classic yet it got horrible reviews. The acting it quite horrible, especially the young Frank Dux :D I love it!
Regarding Mortal Kombat then I have always had a soft spot for that movie, and in general movies with secret fighting tournaments like The Quest, Enter the Dragon and even DOA: Dead or Alive from 2006 (spoiler, hot chicks fighting in a secret tournament!).
@@TheEbbemonster Yea, I'm a bit of a movie geek and enjoy a lot of critically acclaimed stuff, last one I really enjoyed was the documentary The Imposter which is choking, true and every well presented. However, the only reason why Bloodsport gets bad reviews is due to the plot and acting, 2 things which are less important in that genre. It's a perfect 80's martial arts action movie! :p Bowfinger is great too I think, very funny and a great movie idea, saw it a bunch of times on VHS :)
@@ZenDragonRUclipsChannel I didn't know you were such a movie buff, but it is becoming more and more evident :D Ha ha, I love the plot of Bloodsport! A secret tournament where people from all over the world meets and fight with their native styles - what is there not to love! Yeah, the concept in Bowfinger is hilarious, it also reminds me of "Be Kind Rewind", where Jack Black and his friend have to re-record all the VHS-tapes that they have destroyed at a video rental (ruclips.net/video/J7C8nHAAs70/видео.html).
I've always liked Buckaroo Banzai, although the plot makes no damn dense seeing Jeff Goldblum dressed as a cowboy makes up for it.
By the way are you Austrian?
Nope, I am Danish 🇩🇰
Great list! I haven’t seen some of the movies you’ve mentioned but I’ll probably check them out!

I did love the first Scooby Doo movie, as its humor was so off. It didn't know whether it wanted to be for adults or for kids, making the jokes hilariously awkward :)
There ass also something very funny about Freddy got fingered 🤣😅🤣 So baaaaad!
TheEbbemonster My thoughts exactly!
TheEbbemonster You should do a list on movies that you love that everyone hates and/or movies you hate that everyone loves if you wanted to do that!
Honorable mention: Con Air.
Put the Teddy down!
great list except for footloose, fuck that movie :P
