this kind of atmosphere can be seen in Bangkok on new year's day. I mostly went in September, but I remember that there were a lot of discount events at shopping malls around the Mid-Autumn Festival at that time. It wasn't a big holiday atmosphere like this.
Thailand has come a long way. Chinese Thai people were not even allowed to speak their native language at one point. Today, multi cultural is alive and well.
Nope. Thai government only closed Chinese school due to fear of Communism. Our ancestors escaped China’s communist to Thailand so we all understood the situation. After we over come this communism threats, speaking Chinese declined.
That’s not true. Speaking Chinese has never been prohibited in Thailand. Chinese schools were closed because of the war against Communism, not because of racial discrimination.
