@Emrah the sound engine is complex to implement in your game engine, just take a look on Rainbow six siege how hard it is and Battlefield is still king on that, the only game being close to a dynamic range sound on that quality is Hunt showdown. The sound does not only have to sound good but it needs to have multiple channels to give you the best positioning of your enemy even if you hear many other things around you, call of duty is still not their.
well, they did that to lure in the tactical magazine eject fanatics, BF4 is more classic and stylish, while still holding the soldier personality. COD reloads in general seem forced, but that’s just them in a stressful situation

As a firearms enthusiast, I love all the little details added to the guns in Modern Warfare. The ammunition being visible and slowly being expended on the P90, the magazine release on the AR platforms being pushed out when the mags are dropped, the bolt catches sticking out after the last round has been fired, I gotta give kudos to Infinity Ward for going all out there. Battlefield 4 will always be a timeless classic, I will not argue against that and it's impressive how well it's held up after all these years.

I love the subtle sound of pulling a mag out of a pouch on a plate carrier on BF4 and the way the player chambers a round on a pump action shotgun before filling the mag tube.
I think reactive reloading would be cool, for example if there was nobody near by and you were to reload, it would be a fairly slow reload, whereas when in a gunfight, or an enemy is near you, your reloading pace changes due to the adrenaline rush
The fn scar to my knowledge shoots .308 which is quite a large round. .308 is extremely popular deer hunting round used in bolt action rifles. It’s roughly double the weight of a .556 and going about the same speed so expect double the recoil than something like an M4 which is chambered in 556. Sorry I just needed to let my inner gun nerd out.

I mean infinity ward has never been lazy with animations. Infinite Warfare, Ghosts and now modern warfare all have unique animations only found in said games. Although you CAN argue that the throwback weapons in infinite warfare had the same animations as some of the old cods. Sounds however I can agree with. MW is a huge step up in the sounds department. Well i think cod mw 2019 had very different game designs and goals in mind when compared to older installments. older CoD’s evolved from a semi-realistic/semi-arcady fps (CoD4) to a very arcady, super fast fps (black ops 3&4 + infinite warfare). meanwhile Dice had realism and real world authenticity in mind in nearly battlefield game. also you have to consider a lot of corporate bs during infinity ward’s team leaving and other developers joining the CoD development cycle.

I was actually looking for this comparison because i still play BF4 lol. These are the only 2 games i really play right now. Like them both and as a battlefield fan i enjoy this cod. This is the first cod i bought since BO2. I still buy all the battlefields but only play BF4 they need to get back to modern day

A comparison between games where the one is 6 years older could get a bit unfair now but really odd because it still holds up to the latest CoD. BF3&4 are now legendary games from the past and I do understand if people still play those aswell. Well shortly said: both games are good and unique from how they both got designed and created.
Insurgency is better, because it has the bullet in the chamber mechanic, thing that COD don't have. But the reloads in both games are similar, heavy and well made.
Both game sounds are good. Finally, Battlefield has a serious competitor. DICE better quit SJW agenda and step up their game. Competition actually stimulates progresses while SJW agenda does not
The gun sounds in Modern Warfare are much meatier and "badass" for sure but they just feel more realistic in Battlefield 4. Also the firing animation in MW still looks really rigid and arcadey compared to BF4.
I just want to see a C4 explosion just as fierce as the one in COD4 remastered. When you detonated C4 in that game it was literally just black smoke everywhere.
The thing that always gets me. They never use the 30+1 in MW. Like if you reload a partial mag. There is going to be another bullet in the chamber. Like, why am I clearing the chamber of my mp5 when I'm in a combat situation? Doesnt exactly make sense to me, but that is not the nail in the coffin.

Well i think cod mw 2019 had very different game designs and goals in mind when compared to older installments. older CoD’s evolved from a semi-realistic/semi-arcady fps (CoD4) to a very arcady, super fast fps (black ops 3&4 + infinite warfare). meanwhile Dice had realism and real world authenticity in mind in nearly battlefield game. also you have to consider a lot of corporate bs during infinity ward’s team leaving and other developers joining the CoD development cycle.
The AUG in CoD MW is the AUG Para, which means that it's a submachine gun chambered in 9×19mm

Boy, In the last six years DICE has only developed three video games, two of which are from the early twentieth century and the other is a spinoff. The last DICE main video game with weapons and mechanics similar to A MW is Battlefield 4.

I have and play both a lot, call of duty is obviously better but it kinda like battle field back around 6 years ago, both were quite revolutionary in the FPS, taking it that COD has fixed lots of unrealistic things with their guns

After so many years of copy-pasting the same games over and over again, on the same tired engine, COD finally managed to compete with BF4. A game from 2013. Lol. Now try to compare it with Insurgency Sandstorm, Escape From Tarkov, or Squad.

Escape From Tarkov is garbage. They can put as much detail into animations as they want, doesn't fix shit optimization, shit graphics, and the worst gameplay of any shooter. Totally regret buying that garbage. Metro Exodus is so much better.
Insurgency is just a less fun, more campy modern warfare. I want a game. Not a failed replication of life. Btw squad is actually pretty good. Still not as fun though since half the time you get a team with no ability to communicate whatsoever

I was actually looking for this comparison because i still play BF4 lol. These are the only 2 games i really play right now. Like them both and as a battlefield fan i enjoy this cod. This is the first cod i bought since BO2. I still buy all the battlefields but only play BF4 they need to get back to modern day

Giving the cake to MW. BF4's animations just looks a little too plain and slightly stiff unlike MW's which is smooth and fluid.
One thing I liked more about BF4 is that they have the HK416. That gun is a legend, and should be added to MW.

A comparison between games where the one is 6 years older could get a bit unfair now but really odd because it still holds up to the latest CoD.
BF3&4 are now legendary games from the past and I do understand if people still play those aswell. Well shortly said: both games are good and unique from how they both got designed and created.

Insurgency is better, because it has the bullet in the chamber mechanic, thing that COD don't have. But the reloads in both games are similar, heavy and well made.
I personally think that the cod gunplay is very smooth and realistic, and I really like the sounds and reloads for bf4

The gun sounds in Modern Warfare are much meatier and "badass" for sure but they just feel more realistic in Battlefield 4. Also the firing animation in MW still looks really rigid and arcadey compared to BF4.

The thing that always gets me. They never use the 30+1 in MW. Like if you reload a partial mag. There is going to be another bullet in the chamber. Like, why am I clearing the chamber of my mp5 when I'm in a combat situation? Doesnt exactly make sense to me, but that is not the nail in the coffin.
