wtf, this absolute amaze me....i remember spending about 2 weeks on this lvl back in 98' never knew about this big mouse timer that is actually making lvl so eazz...
I seriously HATE this level. Especially after the second checkpoint the last challenge where you jump from a ladder to a ladder took me like 1 hour to do i had to load constantly. Also not only that part but between checkpoint 1 and 2 there is a part where you have to jump on platforms and it's also a nightmare (at around 6.20 - 6.30, i don't know why i have such a problem there). The thing that i hate in this game is how freaking difficult some of the jumps get after level 7. You have to stand on the freaking edge in order to make it work (sometimes it doesn't work even if you do) and you have like 1 second or even less. With the jump cheat it feels like the game goes from normal difficulty to insanely easy. The game itself isn't that hard but when you fail on one spot over and over you start to lose focus and fail even on the easy parts.
I dont know, but this stage looks easier than the "Pirate`s cove" and "The cliffs" (i dont speak english very well) Maybe it`s because i hate the arrows in those levels.
El Puerto del Lobo is the hardest level. All the passages are really hard. The Shipyards is a close second though. The last warp, which comes after a 20 minutes of a rather easy level, is the hardest in the game. Level 10 and 12 are pretty annoying too. Level 13 is very long, but if you know what you have to do, it become simple. Surprisingly, The Temple is pretty easy. Only one secret area can give you problems.
Ah yeah, you mean the jump to get all the coins in the jump? took me 5 times to get that one. I personally hate level 7 and 9. Just something about them but the fact that you have to do everything JUST before the save point in level 13 is also pretty cheeky by Monolith.
Level 9 and 10 are way easier for me than this although they weren’t easy but finally I won at them this is very difficult really like there are many places where I die cause of not jumping long enough it is really hard

What is that little sound that keeps playing. I don't remember it when I used to play and it kind of sounds like an error. Its like a little exclamation sound (idk any other way to put it)
The game tends to have some bugs when you run it on modern Windows, the music not playing properly on this level is one of them. The "exclamation sound" you mention is actually part of the music of the level, but all the other voices are muted because of some glitch - I dunno if you noticed that, but the catnip theme didn't play either.

Damn right. You say level 7? Some of those jumps are hard no matter which level. Even level one that blue skull just before save point 2
But that level is a piece of cake, the really levels that are very hard to finish are level 9, level 10 and level 13

It is. This level test your timing and jump skill. Level 9 and 10 are harder though.

There is an option in the game for removing the bgm.
