Dance Academy is mainly about the fifteen-year-old Tara Webster - a girl who grew up on a farm in outback Australia. Since she was a little girl she has dreamt of being a dancer and in the series she finally makes it into the National Academy of Dance. It’s known as the best school in the country and she is sure her life is about to be spectacular.
Throughout the series Tara and her friends face the universal challenges of being a teenager and they battle through the minefield of elite dance training. Relationships grow and change as they live side by side in the Boarding House. They each take a different path, but they start to find out who they are and they all dare to chase their dreams.

2:07 I've finally figured out why I love this duet so much. It's this moment right here, when Persephone finally comes back into the light after dancing in the dark for the first time since she's met Hades. Yes, she misses him dearly. Yes, she's grieving him. But she became stronger when she was with him, and she's pulled herself back up, enough to dance on her own while still missing him. Paired with the lyrics to the song - "Where are you now, was it all in my fantasy? Where are you now, were you only imaginary?" - it's truly an underrated masterpiece. It even ties into the original series, reminding me so much of Tara's Red Shoes solo after she lost Sammy.
I will always hold in my heart that Ben and Tara were a way better endgame couple than Tara and Christian. Christian felt like Tara's teenage self, while Ben felt like they could have been a better couple. They were always so comfortable together.
Yes! They were so compatible and he was always kind and supportive with her, he never left her alone like Christian did. Christian always took her for granted. Ben was so loyal, warm and he appreciated her😪
