#snakeriverfarms and #porkbelly looks absolutely incredible!!! Makes me want to find a slab of pork belly up across the line to attempt this cook. Havent seen too many big pork bellies so far here in BC, 🇨🇦
@RumandCook when I do a big cook like pork butts or a brisket I let the meat cool down and portion alot for vacuum sealing at freeze for quick meals down the road
I love the way that you experiment when smoking. That is a hell of a lot of pork belly! Looks fantastic! What do you so with all the leftovers? lol #snakeriverfarms #porkbelly
#snakeriverfarms porkbelly. Great cook. One of my family's favorite meal. I haven't seen your Komodo lately. Did I miss a video where you sold it or something? Thanks
Yeah I spoke about it a bit in one video. In my garage right now, but up for sale. Downsizing a bit and using KJ now which is more obtainable for most. 🍻
Noticed other equipment in the back ground I have a weber bullet and another choacal grill don't remember any video on that that's OK tried a rum and coke last night not had one in 30 plus years better than medication
I try and mix in a few different things. Thursdays is generally 3 KJ videos and something else per month. Tuesdays is Yoder and some Alfa pizza oven, but mostly Yoder. Sounds like a good rum and coke to me 😄🍻
#snakeriverfarms #porkbelly Good stuff. I just bought a brisket last week at Sam's Club, and I'm planning to try the Goldee's method this time, so I ordered all their rubs / sauce for shits and giggles. So I'll give the Goldee's brisket rub a shot on that, hopefully it has enough salt by itself, as I'm not sure if I'm supposed to add any. I doubt it will get here in the next few days, so probably won't be cooking the brisket til next Friday, as I like to cook them overnight Friday night since I stay up til about 3:00 AM, pull them off early in the morning, and do a long hot hold in the oven all day to eat for supper on Saturday.
#snakeriverfarms #porkbelly Dang it Jake, you keep coming up with stuff I wanna cook... As other have suggested if I do this I may have to try frying up some as well. PBLT sammies also sounds good!
I'm curious how it is in large slices like that versus the little chunks with sauce. I know it's already cooked but would this benefit from a quick flash fry, like bacon, to crisp the fat a little more you think? #snakeriverfarms #porkbelly
Jake, i have notice you use your cutting board for raw meat and cooked meat,, what do you use to clean it between, And how you keep the flys and bees out over videos? Thanks
Soap and water and dry it off right away or rest on it’s side. I try and move pretty quick so the food doesn’t sit out too long. That being said I can’t tell you how many times I’ve spent killing flies for 10 minutes before filming a section lol. 🍻
Might be time for a gazebo or screen room... Something like that. If you add lights it'll help you control the lighting of your videos and obviously keep you dry 🙂
Yeah, that thought has been on my mind. I have an HOA that is pretty strict so I have to do some planning. A kitchen with running water is on my wish list though. 🍻
They seem delicious Jake. However this is a pork belly smoked like a brisket. However my understanding of bacon is that, it has to be cured. Even uncured bacon refers to bacon cured by natural nitrites. I suppose it calls for a follow up video?
❓ What Video Do You Want To See Next ❓ - *Comment Below!*
Welcome back, glad that the rain didn’t stop another great video. #snakeriverfarms #porkbelly

Glad to have you back Jake. Those look really good. How did you like the Goldees AP rub? #snakeriverfarms #porkbelly
Thank you sir. Goldee’s AP rub is OK, I much prefer their brisket rub though. You can def overdue it with the AP, but these turned out pretty good. 🍻
Thanks again for another great video! I'm headed to Costco this weekend and I will definitely pick up a pork belly.
Good luck! 🍻
All my years of Yoder use I have yet to smoke a brisket. You make it look so easy.
Give it a shot. It’s all about time and temp. 🍻
Hey Jake - good stuff with that bacon. Ever thought about curing and smoking a whole holiday ham?
Thanks. I haven’t done a lot with curing. I plan to do some bacon first. Maybe some Ham down the road. 🍻

Yep have lots of options! 🍻
Love pork belly, especially burnt ends.
#snakeriverfarms
#porkbelly
Def tasty 🍻
Serious question. What does one do with 12 lbs of smoked #snakeriverfarms #porkbelly ?
Take it into work 😁. I’d recommend most do 1/3 at a time. 🍻
@@RumandCook That might work for some, but I work from home.

Was it 3? I thought it was 2. I’ll double check but a win is a win so you’ll get 3 if that’s the case. 🍻
I believe June/July, Sep Tuesday and August Tuesday. Thanks Jake@@RumandCook
Think this is brisket style pork belly not bacon.
Yes
