I'm from Lowell and I've been following. The news and things for many years I believe funding for this has been provided more than once the federal government and nothing has changed. Another example they've received money multiple times to fix the sewer overflow

This report was interesting and informative, but you never answered the question that Marlene asked. You addressed what are the current plans to replace the temporary bridge. However, the question that Marlene asked was "Could you please look into why it hasn't been replaced?". So, why hasn't the bridge been replaced already?

In my opinion it is the cumulative fault of the ejected state representatives if Lowell at the State House over the last 25 yrs. They did not push it or prioritize it and therefore their neglect is our problem today. Just look and see who your state rep was from 1995-2024. They will blame environmental studies and others but truth is the studies were done and left to languish for a decade and needed to be redone because the reps didn’t do THEIR JOB! It’s that simple.

I'm not familiar with this particular bridge but in general look at all bridge crossings. If your town has made road repairs, once you get to a bridge crossing your vehicle is subjected to the dangers of crossing it. The state controls
    bridge repairs.
