Fun fact: While walking down the main street in cars you’re gonna come to a stop light that is blinking yellow. EVERY 3rd blink of the light is actually longer, a reference to Cars 1 when Filmore (the hippie van) says that he thinks every 3 blink of the light is longer.

I went to a panel discussion from the company who does the lighting for Disney parks around the world. They talked about the traffic light. Another fun fact is the Flo's V8 Cafe is designed to be the engine with spark plugs. But the lighting company has the order of the spark plugs going off in the same order as the model and year it's designed after!
My favourite land in DCA and always the first thing I ride... the theming, attention to detail and craftsmanship is unreal. Plus you can’t beat Cars Land lighting up in the evening. Thanks guys

PRO TIP: Always go on Radiator Springs racers as a single rider. Average wait time is about 10 minutes.

fun fact about the little mermaid ride. My uncle told me when he was building it the sound people played the songs over and over and over so now forever he hates the little mermaid for that reason he loves the ride but hates the song.

The first time my mom and I rode this ride we did the standby wait and I believe the wait for us was half an hour then I think after that it went to two hours. I agree single rider or fast pass is the way to go.

Radiator Springs Racers queue has a section where there’s a house with bottles in the walls. U can shine your flashlight on your phone through them so light comes out on the other side. It always freaks people out
Fun fact. back in the 1890's they really did make bottle houses with bottles and mud. And now I have to go see if I can freak someone out with my flashlight.

One of the best rides. So worth every penny. They race and area are absolutely amazing at night.
If you are sent to the paint side you’ll see three car hoods each one has a hidden mickey
If you are sent to the tires side after you exit Luigi’s you’ll see a tool shack with a large hidden mickey
There is a personal(I hid it) hidden mickey on the track of racers 😬😬
I'm going to keep my eyes out for those!!!!

I love how much detail they put into cars land. It’s a perfect replica of the movie and you can’t help but feel as if you’re in the movie. It makes me excited to see how much detail will be put into Galaxy Edge this summer
I’ve only been there a few times in my dozen visits to Disneyland but it made me (4-6 y.o me) feel like I was actually in the movie!

“Trash talk flies between both cars” one time I said “good luck!” To the the people in the other car and this like 8 year old was like “you WISH you had good luck!” I was practically crying it was just that funny. I felt so targeted.

It is surreal seeing a replica of a small southwest (arizona) town and desert area, in southern Cali when I am from Arizona and drive through Something exactly like cars land on my trips to and from Disneyland

That was my favorite part!
I had to convince my roommates that we needed to rope drop this so we could avoid the 90 min queue/using a fastpass on it, as I'm a moderate Cars fan, and a HUGE fan of Test Track in WDW, but they were skeptical. We are SO glad we did. The attention to detail is amazing, the story is really fun, and the animatronics are extremely impressive. We sadly only rode it once while we were there, but it's forever going to be a must-do in my book!
Carson isn't it amazing. It never gets old so be sure to ride it a few more times when you get a chance. :D

Thanks so much for the in-depth tour of this ride! I'm really into the lore and seeing the petrol-glyphics (haha) and the Rusty Ridge Bridge since it showed the date! The plaque showing the different formations at Ornament Valley is really difficult to find clear pictures of, though I've been able to piece it together with pics off twitter. If you have more details like this I'd love to see 'em!

There’s a hidden Mickey on the electrical box if you turn around in the spray paint room, I believe! May be the tire room, though
If you walk up to the courthouse and look to the right up on the power lines, one of them is tied to be a Hidden Mickey!

Your energy is just so awesome! Sometimes I'm busy and can't watch the video but I turn up the volume so I can hear what you have to say. I don't feel I missed anything because you explain things so wonderfully I can almost see it in my mind! I only follow 3 groups in RUclips and you're one of those! If you break down at the right side of the ride where you get your car painted then Ramone and Flo are a tv screen that plays when a car comes in.
I’m not seeing the hidden Mickey in the 8 3/4 sign :( is the bottom of the 3 meant to be an “ear” somehow? If so, that’s really stretching with imagineers calling that a “hidden mickey”...

Love the soundtrack that was playing in the queue as well as on the ride, and WOW are you right about all the stuff to see while in the queue! Disney gets better and better about keeping you distracted from the long waits. Great video guys! But you knew that... ;-)

There’s another hidden mickey where the two cars meet after getting either white walls or paint job. You can only see it when you get the car painted it’s on the big tool box in front of doc. It’s pinstriped on the side of the toolbox.
One comedic detail it took me a few times to notice, the third tractor that is tipped-passes gas.

When they made a simple CGI mockup of the ride for development, they had Mater make his entrance by driving backwards out of the bushes to the far right, instead of forward along the same route you follow him on. Then you would never lose sight of him until the tractor tipping scene. I've also seen some blueprints suggesting that they would have done this with the two Maters sharing a single oval track, and doing a full loop around it to meet up with the vehicle behind the one that their "twin" is currently talking to.
They still have enough space to replace it with that system.
I love Radiator Springs racers, makes me want to drive, last time I went on the ride while i was on the first car to take a drive, one of the cars has broken down inside, I think its from a flat tire, engine failure, battery dead, or what, its a imaginative thought I came up. However, the ride is amazing, sometimes I win, sometimes I don't.
One time me and my friends went to this ride on a music field trip and we went to this ride first and we got a fast pass. THEN we saw that the line was only 20 minutes so we stood in line! We got on the ride TWICE in one day!!

Two weeks and no guesses!? All right fine I’ll tell!! The Q for radiator Springs racers appears in the short film time travel Mater when Stanley has began building radiator Springs. The short film is also one of only two short films that show the tail light caverns that also appear in the attraction. Am I the only one who has seen the short films?!?

Hidden Mickey on one of the hoods before you enter to get the paint job (super tiny) and right after Luigis thet is a Mickey pinstriped on some kind of tool to the lower right
i have a remnant at Disney magic kingdom for you too find.....the swan ride around the castle....no one ever mentions it or comments. was an A ricket and my dads favorite ride to nap on lol....happy hunting

Jonathan didn’t do the music for the ride nor the Cars film. That actually goes my favourite film composer of all time Randy Newman.
I remember my family and I went when it just opened and we waited about 6 hours..😐 , but it was worth it!

Just one amendment. The winning is not random. The track for the split has to switch causing the results of the win. So let’s say left is 1 and 2 is right. So if 1 comes in first they will pull right through to the station. Car 2 will wait for the track to switch then pull through. The track will then wait for 2 to win to let them straight to the station and hold 1 thill the track changes. This is hard to catch unless you go on in the wheelchair enterence and watch cars finish the race and enter the station. Won 20 bucks watching the cars cross the line. 😉
