As a seminary grad i learned alot about the mechanics of this new doctrine such as charitable contributions, tax shelters, filling out proper forms and other deeply religious methodology(🤣). And i also learned a little about Jesus. And though i have evolved my personal feelings on this pursuit, it is certainly unrecognizable as christian. And the evangelical movement is completely deviod of the teachings of Christ where it does not fit white ideology. I think Mr. Moore is spot on and the fact that he is still Editor in Chief at the magazine is astounding because he seems to grind against the usual charactors that have hijacked Christianity much like the Fascists have hijacked the formerly known Republican Party. I respect him immensely. The pay your way to salvation or to get wealthy is laughable but the message from Christ was not. He simply said "give up your worldly goods and pursuits and follow me." I was wondering while printing new bibles if the 'eye of the needle' parable has been removed. Because i can take my bible that was printed in 1940 and compare it to one written in the last ten years there seems to be things missing. Huh?, i wonder..🤔
