MRI contrast agent with hydrogen gas: detecting success of chemotherapy earlier

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or nuclear magnetic resonance can be used to examine soft tissues of the body such as the brain, intervertebral discs or even the formation of tumors. However, the methods used to date have reached their limits and are very costly. For this reason, they can currently only be used in a few clinics worldwide. An international team of researchers at the Helmholtz Institute Mainz (HIM) has now succeeded in making an important advance in the field of MRI.
Following allegations of abuse against Erwin Schrödinger that came to light in early 2022, we are currently checking the name of this award.
