This brings back memories of my childhood when the family first moved to the Sunshine Coast. We did exactly the same thing trawling through the display homes for inspiration. I imagine this is an exciting time in your lives❤

Best tip take a tape measure with you as most display houses are made slightly larger than what is on the outlay specs
An Aussie name for these types of houses is “mc mansions”.
A really large house on a tiny bit of land with no backyard.
These show home areas after a few years are sold off and they build new show homes on another area.
The term is American
I have to agree with Mushy on that one. I've never really heard to term "Mc mansion" used that much over here. I'd say your getting your TV shows mixed up with your every day Aussie reality.
@@Bobbydazzlla I used to live in one they entire area was made up of mc mansions. It was the standard description by everyone that lived there. Even the show homes employees described them like that. They’ve been known as that for 20-30 yrs. Standard nickname in Sydney.
@@Bobbydazzlla McMansion is a common term in my area / circles. Used it for years. And most of the areas McMansions are built in are commonly reffered to as Lego Lands.
Some very gorgeous homes I love them. The one with the pool is one of my favourites.
Surprised being in Queensland none of those display homes had ceiling fans.
All the display homes have ducted aircon,they look like a frisbee stuck on the ceiling.

I love the Coral Homes display at Harmony Estate. It has heaps of room for a single story house and its mid range price.
We did pop in those ones after 😁, we like the Brighton ones too 😁
The Nuevo tend is the grey and black
I would avoid this, going to look dated in another few years.

I'm not a fan of 4 poster beds but overall, the 3rd house was definitely the best. Now, Ben is tall, but I think that kitchen cupboard space is usually wasted and that's because the upper cupboards space is out of reach for most people. Probably why Butler pantries are so popular. Loved this video. Do more on this theme please

I took some photos inside our home and posted them on Facebook. A few of my English friends said "Oh I didn't realize you lived in a posh house". I'm thinking, nah it's just an average Aussie home. Had to laugh though.
Haha they are a bit extra compared to most English homes 😆
I really like the last two houses,if there was no neighbours and good views they would be great to live in

Often when there is a display home, you can see the builder and buy them. Usually you have an option to buy everything included in that house as well. You do have to wait for the "display" to close before you can move in.

Go look at all the Mcmasions on a block of land no bigger than the home. 😜

@@TheBAMFamalam gone are the days of 1/4 ache blocks unless you buy an existing home with one and do a knock down and build. Developers are greedy and put as many blocks as they can fit. This is the norm now with new homes in new estates.

Extended build times and ever rising costs,
Potential the builders going bust.
There’s better buying in the existing home market in most areas.

How much does this house cost in US Dollars?
Love the tour, but watch out for new houses that cram a lot of tiny rooms into a small footprint. Will an office alcove in a corridor work? Do you really need a loo in the master bedroom? Imagine watching and smelling your partner taking a dump while you're trying to work up a bit of passion. Watch out for low ceilings that make you feel like you've got the weight of the world on your shoulders. Minute wardrobes?

Not really liking any of the homes here. I think the styling a bit strange. I liked the houses in the other display village you did some time ago much better.
They are not too bad rooms are a bit small and I do not like an open plan and bare floors or polished floors, So for me no thanks to these.
They’re not for everyone 😊
