In the last 2 weeks I made around $6,000 on XRP, but it's stalling at the moment. The SEC lawsuit has all but gone away and it is NOT an unregistered security. I do agree there are alt coins with better potential but XRP isn't bad.
They have a patent for on demand liquidity, they are actually being used right now and so is the ODL feature. As far as decentralization I hear people speak of it in two ways. 1 who has the most coins (ripple holds in 3rd party escrow) and 2 nodes that control the network. This is nit proof of stake so unless your trying to take the market by selling ripple and there xrp service no other purpose unless talking about sales. It’s consensus so how many coins you have does not affect the network.
A concentration of tokens only affects centralization in a proof of stake consensus blockchain and not one that uses a byzantine consensus algorithm like XRP.
