    Our illustrations are imaginative portrayals of these legendary figures, not exact depictions of their real appearances. We've added superhero-inspired elements to make the visuals more appealing to younger audiences, who often connect with modern comic styles. This creative approach helps highlight the extraordinary powers these heroes possessed-powers that go beyond what the eye can see. The outfits combine traditional and modern influences to bring out the timeless essence of these legends.

      Continue to pour into your students. Teach them confidence in one's self as well as in each other for we are one. And lastly don't forget to remind them why things are how they are and what led up to it and "who" either started it, continues it, or pours into the things that continue suffering in our beautiful country

    She was not a chief, but Commander In Chief of Warriors (Jama). she was old by then,normal for old women in council. She was impeached after Kibata Dance incident with her warriors.

    A well told story but the story itself is not true. Wangu lost her rulling power after her husband made her pregnant and then threw her out of the chiefdom when she was at her weakest…. At least that’s what my grams told me.

    • @shujaastories
      @shujaastories  Год назад +4

      Thanks actually that's the most popular tale told to us when growing up. There are different versions told of how she fell from leadership including the one we have shared which is documented in the Kenya archives but regardless we celebrate her as a sturdy leader who commanded the respect of her villagers.

    This story is not true. Wangu was a colonial administrator/collaborator.

    • @shujaastories
      @shujaastories  6 месяцев назад

      Yes you are right, she worked for the colonial government which is seen in this story where she collected hut tax. She is however recognized as the first woman to be chief in the Kikuyu community.
