I actually kinda felt the same way they did back when im new to kpop and just discovered twice. my friend is the one that introduced me to twice and she said that, three of it's members are japanese. i was so intrigued and so stoked about that. i didn't know that some kpop groups are not all just consist of korean idols. then i suddenly felt worried about their native language. (oh and im also a former weab. that explain my reaction at that time. though im still a weab even now.)

Native English speakers would make a clear distinction. only reason i see the original commenter saying they meant "look" is because they want to "prove me wrong" or because English isn't their 1st language, which then ok cool. they don't look young, they look like normal 40 something year old East Asians. Non-Asians always thought my mom looked 10 years younger than she actually is but she looked like her age to other Asians.

You do not need to be a "Native English speaker" to make a clear distinction of what you're talking about, it depends on the person. In English grammar these days, people tend to use the short way of describing or explaining things because no one wants to write/ say such long sentences just to describe/explain something. Which is why the person's "phrase" is short and has a unclear explanation. It's your own point of view thinking that they don't look young and that they look normal but the majority thinks Asian people are thought to be more younger looking than Non Asians because Asian people tend to eat more healthier than Non Asian which gives them the appearance of "younger looking". Even the people who have English as their first language can write/talk sentences that are grammatically wrong. No one really cares if you're grammar is right or wrong.
