Hi MarceloLuzSantos, you can easily do this using EA Studio. You can set up the number of indicators to use, add the indicators you want, with the exact rules of each, for both long and short positions.

Hey blessings9204, in EA Studio, you can create a strategy with multiple indicators, but not multiple timeframes. You can however do this FSB Pro, using different time frames to confirm a signal

Hi xiangjn, EA Studio works with MT indicators only. It was designed this way for optimized results. If custom indicators are added, it will end up with errors in the EAs because of the custom indicators.

hi, may i know, how about robot trading setting to avoid margin call? what should we do for risk in percent? auto lot size? auto time stop? do we need to set it true instead of false?
Hi chiksall3506, it would depend on your leverage and account size. You can set the EA to close according to your own parameters. For example, having a smaller SL, but best is to always backtest your strategy and see how it would have performed in the past. Of course, past performance doesn't guarantee future results. Always start small, and test on a demo account first
EA studios question. Can I import any indicators into the studio. The entire selection on the site appear to be only MT5 default list. I have dozens of back tested strategies but they all involve custom MT5 indicators from Code base and market place. They do all have source files. If I can't import them then what EA Builder site would you recommend.

You need to place all EAs onto a demo account, link the account to FXBlue, and monitor their performance in current market conditions, then select the best performers for your 2nd account. Personally I look for a profit factor of 1.2, min trades - 3

Hi danielhalam4705, This feature is currently not available in EA Studio. However, the developer has added it specifically for the FTMO robot app and I will have a chat to him to see if it's possible to add it as a feature to EA Studio.

Yes you can set it as indicator and you can select it on MT4 inputs of the EA as well.

Does the robot trade on eurusd only or all the indices and forex markets??
Hi siyaselokela3693, the EA provided is specific to EURUSD on the timeframe it was created for. It could work on other currencies and timeframes, but you'd need to run a backtest, and decide for yourself if you'd like to test it on those currencies in a demo account.

Hi collinsmugunah2320, there is a free 15 day, unlimited use trial, where you can create thousands of robots. These robots are yours, and don't expire. If you are happy with the software, you can then purchase a license once the trial period has expired.
Can I use this with zero trading experience or knowledge? I’m a very busy person so i don’t have the time to learn or practice trading.
Hi manuelbossman9638, the idea with trading with EAs is exactly this., So you can place the EAs and let them do all of the trading for you. However, you will still need to check every few days which EAs are currently profitable, and which aren't removing those that aren't and adding from your demo account those that are. It will require a little work from your side, but it's a fraction of the work required with manual trading.
So you could make a bot that autobuy when it's low and autosell when it's high then you make profit doing nothing, is it that easy to make money with a bot or is there risks involved
Hi AlmightyScorchy, it's not quite as simple as that. There are many factors. Indicators, market conditions, news, etc. High and low are also relative to the market, and volatility plays an important factor

My advice would be top open a demo account with one of the brokers in the list, who's historical data is included. When you perform the backtest in MT, make sure to use Open Prices Only as your modelling option. If you use another broker, go to Data -> Symbol Settings and adjust the settings for the currency par to match those of your broker

You'll have to check with the broker if they offer their services to residents and citizens of your country.

Hi benzomoney5261, to create the EAs, there are various licensing options. But you can create as many EAs as you like.
Can you use these bots on prop firm accounts to pass the challenges and then also use them after the challenges are complete?
Hi user-mp8pr6gi6i, it's best not to, as the drawdown could be larger than prop firms allow. However, once funded you could use them but it will take work to monitor the EAs and use only those that are profitable in current market conditions. My advice would be to use an EA specifically designed for prop firm challenges, like this one: eatradingacademy.com/premium-robots/ftmo-robot/

Hi senhlemkhonta2805, depends on the broker. Some have an app you can download which will notify you of any activity on your account.
After creating the EA and export to mt4 or 5 it dose not pick trade those it need license to pick a trade ?
No licenses with the EAs. If you placed the EA properly on the MT there will be trades soon. Give it some more time! :)

It will work with any broker that offers MT4 and 5. If you're using MT5, make sure to compile it first. After copying it into the Experts folder, open the EA in MetaEditor, click on Compile at the top, then close and re-open your platform. It should appear in the Navigator
Hi Petko, i have a good indicator that i want to turn in a EA, is that possible? The indicator gives arrows, but i don't want to take all the arrow. In the indicator are some other indicators for conformations and i want the EA to only take trades with a arrow and minimum 2 conformations with it

Hi sabathmbuguma, make sure you have historical data loaded. You can select from the built-in historical data, or export from your broker. Also, run through all the settings to make sure you have selected options for the generator to work with
Don't forget to set up indicators in a right way! It's really important thing ️🎃

I tried this for xauusd but it has generated 0 strategies. I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong?
Hi marktoml7050, there could a number of reasons. Your Acceptance Criteria may be too strict, including the in-sample, you may not have enough historical data, your TP may be set too high. I'd suggest making all the settings quite low, and then using the performance filters in the Collection to filter the best strategies.

If you can get historical data from your broker, you can create strategies for any asset using standard indicators

Hi shharadghag7195, you can easily create this in EA Studio. You can add a trailing SL, and set your entry and exit conditions to suit your desired strategy

Hi cancanturco, this your choice. With EAs created in EA Studio, at this stage there is no option to stop trading during news events, although the developer is considering adding this feature by linking to a calendar of financial news. But what I do, is keep an eye on big news events that could affect the market, and stop my EAs trading 1 hour before, and start again 1 hour after the news events.
Hi PetKo, can the EA studio create a 1 portfolio EA that trades multiple currencies? If yes, how do you do it? The same like Waka-waka where you put 1 EA in 1 currency but trades 3 currencies, although Waka-waka is only a single strategy EA. Thanks
Hi clickhero514, EA Studio can create a portfolio, and portfolio EA on multiple currencies, however, when you attach the EA to your chart, you attach it to a chart of one currency pair, so it wouldn't make sense to install a portfolio EA with say EURUSD and EURJPY to a EURUSD chart, as the 2nd pair wouldn't correlate to the historical data of 1st pair

Hey memix7912 , Double check your settings. Make sure the model is set to Open Prices Only, you've selected the correct asset and timeframe, and most importantly, that you have enough historical data from the broker for the date range you're testing on.

Hi vyacheslavfomichev2399, great to hear, but please test on a demo account first for some time before trading live. Make sure you are very comfortable with any EA you plan to use on a live account. Don't be in a hurry. Trading takes time and requires a lot of practice and experience to be consistently profitable.
Do they really work as intended? The reason why I'm asking is because here in South Africa a lot of traders are creating these robots left right & centre but i know of no one who has made money using the robot
Hi goldaudnzdtrader7073, the point is to create many, easily. Run them on a demo account, and select those that are profitable in current market conditions to put onto a 2nd account. No EA can be profitable all of the time as market conditions are constantly changing.

Yes, you can select any time frame when creating robots. It uses the historical data on the timeframe you've selected to create robots. You can later use the Validator tool to backtest the EAs on different timeframes.

Hi worldwielder_ZA, as long as you have enabled auto trading first, attached the EA to the correct chart and timeframe, have enough capital in your account and are connected to the broker's server, trades will open when market conditions trigger the conditions of the strategy. Also, make sure you have enough historical data in your chart. Simply hold the 'Home' key on the chart to load as many bars as possible.

Hi elordyabugan5859, sounds like your criteria is too strict. Try simple settings like profit factor 1.2, minimum count of trades - 20 and r-squared of 75. Don't include the Monte Carlo or other robustness tools during generation, but rather afterwards when you run the collection through the Validator over a specific date range. Also, adjust the SL and TP to a smaller range

All EAs will go through profitable and unprofitable periods, so no EA can guarantee profits. However, there are very good free, and low-cost EAs. For example, the Dark Venus has been excellent so far, and it's free. The Forex Gold Investor has also been doing very well, and that currently costs less than $170. But all trading carries risk

Quick question, what may be wrong with my bot it doesn't want to take any trades l followed your tutorial step by step, but my bot won't be operate and yes l switched on algo trading
As long as you have enabled algo/auto trading first, and you see the smiley face or blue top hat in the corner, the EA is attached and working. If no trades are opening, it could be because market conditions haven't triggered the rules of the strategy, or your lot sizes may be too big for the account size. I would suggest running a backtest to see if trades should have opened, and if that is the case, check the journal for any errors.
Ran backtest and the bot performed well, journal clear no error, l added funds to my account but still. The bot hasn't taken any trades.. let's hope for the best maybe the market haven't triggered rules of the strategy
Also l allowed Algo trading,
I would suggest opening a demo account with a different broker, using the same amount and lot sizes, and let them run together, and compare results.

I'd suggest signing up for a trial license which is free. If you have a manual strategy you want to automate and it uses standard MT indicators, you can easily do it in the Editor. There are video tutorials in the Help section to guide you

Hi emirdvn6098, there aren't signals as such. The trade is triggered or closed when the conditions of the strategy are met. It all happens in the background.

Hi Humphrey490, yes, that is the reason we trade with robots. Once they're installed on our charts, they automatically open and close trades according to the rules and conditions in the strategy.

Hi cancanturco, the EAs are designed to run 24/5 when markets are opened. If you are unable to keep your PC on and connected to the internet 24 hours a day, you should consider using a VPS. Otherwise, ou'll miss many opportunities for trades

It says cannot open position with such entry lots, a leverage, and an initial account. What do i do?
Hi jutsum1019, if you are trading with a smaller account, lower your entry lots to 0.1 or even 0.01, and make sure your leverage is set correctly accordingly. For example, with a $1000 account, you cannot open lots of 1 with leverage 1:500. There won't be enough margin in your account.
