I don't think this will have any impact whatsoever on PVP servers. Will be really buggy and people are too exposed and slow when using them. However...., it will be awesome for the roleplaying chads out there and I'm sure it will get use on PVE servers.
I would say otherwise. The catapult may be a really good indirect raid weapons because imagin if you high external wood wall around you and set 4 of these things up and just pelt a base all night then raid them at dawn. May proof to be useful
@@LUL69214 spear eco raiding only takes wood while this requires hundreds of hqm plus frags/wood/lowgrade/etc. Dont see these being part of the "meta" and more a novelty or niche.

I think that the siege tower and ballista will be the most popular, especially with larger groups. I still think you should be able to tow SWs with vehicles, if only for protection. You are very vulnerable on a slow horse, and that can easily make the SWs redundant if they're stranded.
To repair the shovel on the ram, you said it needs metal frags, but it shows HQM (0/25) since you couldn't repair it to full HP. HQM would be insanely expensive!!! hopefully it's metal fragments
Well the only thing that will change is that counter raiding will be effortless seeing how much time and movement it takes to prep the siege weapons , without backup players forget about success unless you're offlining in a deserted area lol
Uncoupling raiding cost from sulfur is a VERY BAD idea. I can already see the late night demolition crews offlining fields of stone bases with the battering ram. LGF and metal is not hard to get, man. This is cooked.
Honestly what I'd rather see is a revamp to building. Its been years since it's had any serious attention. New tiles, new deployables (i.e armoured hatches) etc. I honestly don't see seige weapons having a huge affect with how slow they are, unless you're raiding a base without a shooting floor. The tower will be used for offline grubbing. The balista can be deployed on roofs.. so theres that. Either way, appreciate the video Drizza 👊
@@alexwindy3 To be fair thats nothing, my Quad teams usually have that in 1-2 hours. being able to just free farm all the 2x1's with that is alot quicker then farming up sulfur to eco raid.
Too slow, too vulnerable, too expensive, too little use cases due to damage dealt. It'd have been one thing if the catapult or battering ram did reasonable amounts of damage to stone and sheet but didn't cost nearly as much as explosives. You're investing a ton more resources into a deployable vehicle that can get destroyed, stolen, and leaves you with your pants around your ankles trying to utilize it. But it doesn't. Best case scenario this is an RP thing or a neat addition to have for a primitive only server themed after medieval times or something.
Players will probaly just build a low foundation and halfwall to protect a base from siege engines :P Or place those stone thingys on ground. Also wana bet some youtuber will make a trap base from ram tower. I build a base araund ram tower and used it to trap people.
I'm here on behalf of the rest of the internet........can we fling a horse with the catapult? Like we have to know, will it clip a horse enough to chuck it......
Lol the horse towing it instead of the cars they have in game is hilarious. Just for that people won’t use them imo. If you could hook an rv onto one of these they might be good.
i could see a minor change to bases now including obstructions outside high walls to prevent the towers from being right up against the walls, but thats it. Random spammed barricades and extra walls, not much more change than that
@@TheSpeedOfCthe reason the attack heli doesn't change anything is because it uses regular rockets, wich are harder to aim out of the heli, so it's worse in terms of economics with little to no advantage since you still need to land and go inside. play solo or duo servers
Eco raid with 220 hqm + metal frags + wood etc ??
dont forget the lowgrey dud
I doubt the numbers are final this is early testing phase still
Could you skip red card at launch with the tower?
Probably not
I want to do a wipe with no guns. Just swords bows and siege weapons
how i can test in staing branch? i cant find
This is on aux02 atm
It’d be cool if they made the explosive expensive but crazy high splash damage and C4 level damage. Then incend does a massive spread of fire.
Imagine putting on a parachute sitting in the catapult on top of a giant hill and using it to fly into military
Square stone barricades should make fun obstacles for the siege tower 🗼
The siege weapon looks best for external walls, blocking counters access.

They should have used this "place down base piece and hit with hammer" model for cars and people would use them.

It won't, at all. Top down is the meta. This helps with top downs lol.
