See: For Cartman its not necessarily about the relationship he's really in love with the control that he wants to have in said relationship. That's why he was so obsessed with all the Alexas in his room; and when Heidi breaks up with him (which ill get into next comment) he wants her back because she took control of the relationship and ended it
@@theperfectbalance5482Yeah, but I dare say Cartman is one of the exceptions. I'm pretty sure it would be physically impossible for him to not be the one who ruins the relationship.
These shows always stressed me out because they'd make the families all these promises and just start knocking down walls with no blueprints. Then after the house was in shambles they'd tell the family they can't do what they promised because that wall was load bearing and they didn't bother doing any research. I think most of it was staged for drama but it made them look unprofessional.
Most of those shows are just one giant con game. If you read up on the people who were on the show they almost always end up doing worse especially if they were given the home for free. Because no one considers the property tax they now have to pay for their mansion or the utility costs; plus if their home has some kind of weird or custom stuff in it that drives up the cost of maintenance and makes reselling a nightmare. Sure it makes for good tv to turn your kid's room into super princess theme room, but they're going to outgrow that in a few years and if you ever want to resell the house now the buyer has to basically rebuild that entire room; making reselling very difficult. Not only that but there are a ton of stories of the contractors (the people who ACTUALLY build the homes vs. the show actors who just swing a hammer now and then) not getting paid or taken advantage of, plus the home itself having a ton of issues because of cut corners and just a mindset of "Make if flash first, practical and long lasting eh".
Alexa took their jobs because they are truck drivers. People ordering on the internet having Amazon deliver means the drivers that drive goods to physical stores are being laid off
People apparently say this episode is the worst South Park episode, but I don't understand the hate around it. It is not as good as other episodes, but it is decent. Cartman is such a toxic, narcissistic manipulator that even though he seems to hate being around Heidi, he thrives on controlling her. The moment Heidi has doubts about their relationship, Cartman will play the victim and gaslight her into staying and use her own insecurities against her.The only reason he loves Alexa is that Alexa is a machine built with no free will and only made to respond to Eric's command and his denial and narcissism will always make him believe he's the victim. I feel so bad for Heidi as she seems like such a sweet girl and deserves so much better than Cartman
I heard most of this started because of what Butters said to Cartman when he was doubting Heidi. Honestly it kind of sucked cuz I thought they were nice together in season 20
Glad you're reacting to Season 21! Much like Season 19, this is a linear season that actually explores stuff pretty well! Also contains the prequel to FbW.

Most of us watching live in houses or at least know what the inside of a house looks like. So many different ways to have a house laid out I admit I used to enjoy some of those shows.
I don't remember watching any American shows about house renovations but there was a British show hosted by Nick Knowles. I think it was called DIY SOS? Something like that. It was really good.
when this episode was released, people with actual devices in the room while the episode was playing were adding "big harry balls" to the viewers actual shopping list..... Trey and Matt added just enough pause in the actual episode's sound editing that it was getting picked up by folks devices - I read that one guy got in trouble with his company's HR department for having asking his assistant to buy inappropriate things when the list was modified by the episode.....
Heidi and Eric Cartman in this episode sells the fact to me that I hate on again and off again. Relationships also relationships when first they break up then they get back together again saying they break up for good this time and I really don't like that at all.
No Randy has no clue what he's talking about, there is no such thing as a 4x6 LVL Beam, LVL's are 1-3/4" wide and 6" isn't tall enough to be a "beam" for any kind of structural load, if you are carrying a floor above and taking out the whole wall it would be Multiple 12"+ LVL's to make a beam strong enough.
Cartman wanted a girlfriend but he wasn't ready for a relationship. And like most relationships it fell apart after the early stages ie; the honey moon phase.
Cartman doesn't want a girlfriend, he only want a servant (Alexa), that's why he treat Heidi like that. And he "dump" her just because he wanted to "look cool". I fucking hate Cartman during season 21
Wait, who has ever really liked Cartman as a person? He's always been a jerk, He's funny to laugh at, but I wouldn't want to hang around a guy like that.
Between the tv show his time as lord, the successful weed farm, amongst other hair brained schemes, I’m wondering how much money do the marche’s have in total especially if they’re smart and invest little bits here and there and have some over sea bank account for emergencys
It’s kind of crazy that the stereotypical repeatable character traits that have been endlessly repeated throughout time are now getting so specifically reminiscent of real life psychiatric conditions that we can practically diagnose and relate with characters with very deep emotional depth .
What Cartman did to Heidi is imho the worst thing he's ever done. Scott Tenorman f__ked around and found out, so I don't feel sorry for him. But Heidi didn't deserve *any* of this :(

Just so you know, Heidi was in the 1999 movie. But had black hair and a yellow shirt. She first arrived in season 3
Wait she Wes huh 🤔 you learn new things everyday 😊
She also spoke in season 4 at the end of "Do The Handicapped Go To Hell?" And in "Probably" her parents at the time called her by a different name.
So it wouldn't be cannibalism if we ate her? That's kinda strange, don't you think?
Cartman is such a gaslighting narcissist. I simultaneously love and despise him lmfao
I used to have a manager like Cartman to where he may be the funniest but at the same time be happy when you or someone else kicks their ass

Randy does know what he’s talking about. I owned a home construction company and the fact that he pronounced Lally columns correctly.
The ending of season 20 explains Cartman's attitude at the beginning of this one
I checked season 20 out a few months back
This is a good start to Season 21 of South Park! You should definitely continue to run through the season! It is great!
I still love how South Park got actual home systems like alexa to add the stuff in the show to their lists because they heard the command from tv.
