After 50+ years of listening to metal, this performance right here, is my all-time favorite song(s) live or studio, and Lovebites is my all time favorite band. The opening track before they come on stage, The Awakening, is one of the more epic entrance songs I've heard. Nobody was playing anything live in that opening pre-recorded track The Awakening. Haruna's taps on the cymbals brings on The Hammer of Wrath. Haruna's drum playing when Midori's initial part of the solo starts is so freaking groovy. Haruna's drumming is simply incredible. She makes fast paced drumming look so easy, and she just pounds the pace to perfection with all sorts of amazing fills and cymbal work. The group vocals as you said are awesome. Miyako's tapping skills are like nothing I have ever seen, and since you brought Eddie Van Halen into the mix I have no problem saying Miyako's tapping skills are his equal. I honestly have never heard anything like Lovebites in metal. They draw upon so many great from back in the 80's, and blend it all together into their own unique sub-genre. And the outtro to this song is my 2nd favorite outro ever (could be my first), Deliverance by Opeth has been my favorite up to this point. You have reacted to three of their thrashiest songs. This was the opening of their encore, after having done a full 90 minute set. They followed these up with two of their biggest songs, "Edge of the World" and "We the United". They end every show with Asami saying "We play heavy metal" but honestly, these ladies are made of something harder. Two hours at this pace? Crazy.

Imagine, you just heard the opening to their first album. “Hi, we’re Lovebites and we f*kin rock”. I think you spotted Midori’s Kemper set up perhaps? And Miyako’s signature Dean is a red Flying V. She’s a fully trained classical pianist, and apparently if such a person then chooses to play guitar, tapping is essentially like playing a keyboard, so they almost know how to do it before they know anything else. And Miyako began piano age 3 and it was a further 15 years before she picked up a guitar. And learned to play from a book. My day is complete having seen your reaction. Trouble is you tire ME out, I need a lie down.
welcome to the wolf pack. This group has it all at the highest level of physical beauty, elegance, charm, class, talent, stage presence, virtuosity, technicality, and genius in composition. And on top of that they play different styles of metal. This is the greatest band I have ever seen and heard. If we had to name a musical miracle it would be "Lovebites".

The awakening is in the same format as the album which is an intro to The hammer of wrath, this particular segment of that show was the end of the main show and the beginning of a three-piece encore. It is only a recording none of the ladies are on stage playing the beginning of The Awakening. Actually, her signature Dean Guitar is a flying V that she had specifically made to her specifications

I find it interesting that you pull out Van Haleb and Megadeth for the solos, when the entire song actually screams Anthrax. This is one of those songs where you could take out all of the ladies and put in Anthrax in its entirety, and it would still sound the same, as if this came off of Among the Living in 1986. The fact that there are so many songs that can be done like this with LoveBites (Break The Wall for Slayer), Holy War (Judas Priest), etc., doesn’t just show you how good this band is, but that they can outdo those other bands easily.. and do it in heels.
This is the Encore of the Daughters of the Dawn Tour. . quite the attention grabber! These ladies sure know how to control a Concert crowd. And, Smokey - it is Fine to do other bands. Many of us think Lovebites is the best of the bunch, but there are Tons of Great bands in Japan right now, and most have Very Loyal followers. You are doing great so far, however you are still missing Band Maid, Aldious, Hanabie, Hagane, Trident, Bridear, Unlucky Morpheus, Mary's Blood, Galneryus, X-Japan, Wagakki Band, Gacharic Spin, Doll$Boxx, Quadratum, Scandal, Baby Metal . . . . . .
