- Greetings Irish Music Nerds,
Thank you so much for joining me today as I play a set a gorgeous reel composed by Seamus Ennis' Father, James Ennis. Two squirrels came down their tree to listen to the music, I think they enjoyed it and I hope you do too !
Sending lots of love to you all..
Grá mór,
Lucie 🧚♀️🎵 🎶

Beautiful playing. That’s one of my favourite tunes. Are those woods in Wicklow by any chance. It looks like the woods at Blessington Lakes.
Mile buiochas Adrian ! A wonderful tune indeed, one of my all-time favourites as well ! Alas, no, my woods are located in the East of France, in le Jura (a gorgeous place) ! But I'll be back in Clifden in November, and hopefully I'll get to play some tunes in the woods there !
Great reel. One of my all-time favorites. Just a side note, it was composed by Seamus Ennis's father, Tom Ennis. See the video of Seamus himself telling the story of the reel and then playing it. ruclips.net/video/lLe9etQ0iwQ/видео.html
Seamus' father's name was James. Tom Ennis was an American piper
@@herecomeseveryone7562 Thank you to the both of you for pointing out the confusion !
@@herecomeseveryone7562 Hah! Right. My mistake. So James Ennis was the originator of the Morning Thrush.
If I was walking through the forest and heard this, I'd be scared something supernatural was about to happen
Haha ! Like an invasion of wood elves ? 😄 thanks for stopping by and whatever something supernatural happens, I hope it brings you beauty and peace.
