apparently the trick to building the snowman is: the first snowball you touch is automatically set to be the head. So that's why sometimes the bigger ball goes on top of the smaller one as soon as you touch it.

I found that often when you push two snowballs together they simply will not merge. you can push both balls along and it won't do anything until you accidentally touch the other (bigger) snowball and it jumps on top? that is because the snowball you roll first is set as the "head" so that's the one you need to push onto the other once you've rolled that one. Personally I used to roll the biggest part first so I got that annoying 'won't merge' thing a LOT. Once I realized that the first ball is always the head I've never had anything but perfect Snowboys.

I know everyone will design their island their own way, but I don't know why everyone clutters their island with a bunch of random decorations and cliffs everywhere. I prefer something much more minimalist.
Just looks nice to some! And minimalist is also okay!! Its something I LOVE about animal crossing, everyones' town or island is different somehow, its really cool 🤍 my island is in progress but its a dark academia towncore island with some studio ghibli easter eggs

It's just my eyes get overwhelmed when I see some people's islands lol. But as you said, the great thing about AC is that there is no "meta". Build your island how you want with the villagers you want :)
