Divers go underwater to map submerged trains in Delaware River

  • Original Airdate: 10/22/2014 | They travel the murky depths of the Delaware River, usually to recover people who have died in unfortunate accidents, but Tuesday, members of the dive team at the Delaware Water Gap National Park got to do something else.
    The protection is in the preparation -- check the air, put on the proper gear, and then slowly ease your way into the Delaware River.
    “They do a lot of work that is just under the surface and a lot of people don’t see the work that they do,” said Kathleen Sandt, spokeswoman for the Delaware Water Gap National Park.

    Two extremely rare 1885 V Class locomotives were salvaged from the Oreti River here lower down the South Island of New Zealand, they spent over 90 years in water and mud when purposely dumped in the river in the 1920’s for flood protection, they are now displayed on a specially built track, you can look it up if your curious about our own little discovery which made history

    I couldn’t even tell if maybe the 1940’s train wreck is a steam locomotive or something like that it was hard to see

    Nice I went there last summer but I didn’t there was a train wreck while watching this it’s very interesting and cool.

      gothic wiccan lmao they did Not went off track, they were intentionally sunk to rid of the unwanted trains just like planes and ships are sunk in the oceans.
