Wow the tonality here is so meaningful in each and every note. I was constantly on a journey. This performance is musical excellence and honors this fantastic piece more than wonderfully.

0:00 almost Franckian Chorale like, the way the chords are seldom played precisely together, and makes for exquisite voicing 1:18 less grave, a bit of polka, light-hearted life, but still not giving up on those voices that come at the listener from extreme registers, almost like an attack on the ears (but a good one) 2:17 - to end. Sounds like all those teasing and accented notes, the random ones heard over wide ranges earlier, come into a world of their own; supported by awesome chordal accompaniments. Truly a wonderful interpretation of this, the last, Prelude.

I hear the influence of Schumann in this Prelude. Do you?

OMG Some of this You play better than Rachmaninoff Himself!!! I've listen to so many performers. I learned the middle part. You play it like I did!

Beautiful! Finally the tempo I like (reminds V. Ashkenazy). Nowadays almost everyone else plays it like there's no tomorrow. (Taking it up myself, non-pro.)

Ashkenazy playing is a whole minute shorter, isn't it?
