FinTech companies are slowly taking over the world of finance by the sheer force of their innovation and disruption. How has your experience with FinTech been?
I'm enjoying my journey as a business analyst in FinTech since past 7 years. Now to level up my career, I'm looking forward to pursue masters in FinTech from USA, can you advise the best universities and courses please.
First of all, this whole economic chaos was powered by optimism that the FED is done with hiking interest rates. Now that interest rate crash is the situation, where do we go from here? How would you advise I safely allocate $250k funds at this point?
The market is volatile at this time, But doesn't the Federal Reserve's monetary policy and low interest rates contribute to the current valuations? hence I will advice you get yourself a financial advisor that can provide you with entry and exit points on the share/ETF you focus on.
I Agree, my portfolio is well-matched for every market season yielding 85% from early last year to date. I and my CFP are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, tho this could take another year. IMO, financial advisors are the most sought-after professionals after doctors.
’Sonya Lee Mitchell is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
Thank you for your helpful tip! I was able to verify the person and book a call session with her. She seems very proficient and I'm really grateful for your guidance
So online payments, digital wallets, online trading, online investment, crowd founding, peer to peer lending, and all businesses involving finance and technology can be categorized into the financial technology industry ?
I agree with your advice on investing in a fin-tech ETF. I’ve been dollar cost averaging into one. Getting little pieces of these companies with each investment. The little pieces are becoming big pieces. As this industry continues to grow, so will I. Thanks for the video.
Great video! I've started working in an open banking fintech startup for the LATAM market, but I've stuided communications, so is not that easy for me to understand what I'm selling. This video is pretty clear and I think it can help everyone to understand the basics about this industry!
Great overview. How do I find out how fintech works technically? How would someone set up an online bank from scratch? What software is needed, servers, networking.
Hi Dede - you are very welcome! Operations management can include a ton of things, so would probably like to see a more detailed job description. Could include middle and back office reconciliation of transactions, but also something more closer to a a chief operating officer where you really manage a vast array of teams... let me know if you have something more detailed.
thanks for the broad overview, some say this is 4th revolution in capitalism. would you be interested in doing an individual Fintech company called Vama? Your takeaways would be greatly appreciated!
I live in India and I am from an accounting background with 10 years of industry experience, Is it a right time to switch to FinTech from overseas how it will help me in my career?
Hey! I am interested to do master's in Financial Technology and this video kind of motivated me to do that. I was really confused about it but video helped me alot. Great work 🙌
Hey Amish - great to hear that. The future really is in FinTech as opposed to traditional banks which are fast becoming very commoditized. As an example, a company like PayPal is a $200bn+ market cap. Compare that to Goldman Sachs at $70bn. Goldman is a great trading house for sure, but the future of where finance is heading now is really in FinTech. Good luck!!

The fintech industry as we know it today did not exist before the late 1990s and early 2000s. Nonetheless, fintech's origins can be traced back to the advent of computer systems and the growth of electronic banking in the financial services industry in the 1970s and 1980s. Boasting the highest fintech adoption rate globally, India is consistently ranked among the fastest-growing fintech markets in the world. As of the start of 2023, there were more than 2,000 fintech start-ups in India, a number that is growing both consistently and ahead of many global competitors. 3:03 [Investment Monitor]

Hey! I am currently doing my undergraduate in bachelor's of business administration in computer application (basically I'll be having the knowledge of business+management+coding).. So after my undergraduate degree should I go for a MBA in finance or CFA
@Rishi - I think it's always better to go do your MBA after a few years of experience. You're older, wiser, and you'll be in a class with seasoned people with prior work experience. The CFA is an excellent idea that you can start right away along your first job - did you see the passing level that just came out? I think it was a ridiculously low 24% 🧐
@@martinzeman89 hey thanks for your advice,I am also thinking of doing some finance courses which will help me to get an internship or a job. CFA is ridiculous tough, probably I will go for an MBA after some work experience
Fantastic Video Martin, thank you! I am considering studying an MSc in FinTech here in the UK. Do you see the FinTech industry as future proof? and in particular which areas of the industry?
Hi Niklas - future proof is a strong statement, but I definitely think it's where finance is heading. Typical commercial banking and investment banking are fast becoming utility type of businesses. Goldman's market cap is $100bn - compared that to PayPal's $330bn. If you like coding and engineering types of jobs, I think that's as future proof as any, especially because you have the skills to launch your own products or your own company. But pretty much any area in FinTech sets you up for a future in a high growth industry as we move to much more efficient and user friendly ways to invest and manage money. Good luck with your degree, keep me posted!!
Hi Daniel - plenty of people work in fintech without a specific fintech degree. If this is an area you want to transition to, a few reputable courses will absolutely help and coding skills - if that's what you want to do - will open a lot of doors. Good luck!
Hi! I am a year 1 uni student majoring in Fintech. I am considering to take Decision Analytics as my second major. Will I be able to get into fintech industry easily? Also, Is gpa such a great measure when applying for jobs?
Hi Minjun - the gpa matters a lot less than your experience. Try to get an internship with one of the fintech companies, even if it's not well paid. Any experience in the field trumps academic achievements. Decision Analytics is a great pick though! Good luck!
