I drink at least a gallon of water a day, purified via a Big Berkey filtration system. I don't get much exercise, as I am in a wheelchair (due to a truck accident 15 years ago), but I do my best to move as much as possible. I hope this information is helpful. Blessings, Jesse.

Good to hear from you, doc. Hope your dad's doing better. Not only your instructions (may I consider you one of my doctors?) but the comments of your other "patients" are similar to what I have experienced with Afib. Their many suggestions on various ways of stopping it by yourself are not only interesting, but potentially very helpful to those with Afib. Thank you, & say hi to your dad from all of us--your "patients." Tell him that his son has done well & he should be proud!
I have just discovered Dr Gupta's channel as I am researching my Palpitations that are recent. Due to a terrible shortage of family doctor's in Winnipeg, MB I am unable to get a referral to the cardiologist who repaired a tear in my heart a few years ago. Anyways, I have gone through these presentations and I have identified stress and a lack of Magnesium as possible causes while I wait to see a Doctor. This is very helpful and has put my mind at ease. Thank you !
my spouse has afib and by accident we found that berries, particularly blueberries, raspberries and blackberries with a good yoghurt, cleared her afib for some hours. repeated it 20 times and get the same result so presumably due to antioxidants or resveratrol content of berries. so we now finish a meal with a berry desert based on what berries are available.
Or… because of all of the calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and B vitamins in the yoghurt. That would make MUCH more sense than the blueberries, as they contain little actual nutrients, besides vitamin C
Excellent advice Sanjay it works really well. Also to adding to this, Curcumin from Turmeric is a very powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-coagulant- 1000 to 3000mg per day. Studies have proven that curcumin is more powerful than ibuprofen for inflammation! Thanks once again for your guidance to bettering people's heath and well-being.
take care always doc! your videos helps me a lot specially when im experiencing my anxiety attacks. sending love from a filipino nurse here in saudi arabia.
It is so good to see you back. I have learned a lot since I have been listening to you. I have AFIB and I am trying to be proactive. I think you overwork and need to slow down doctor....:) 😇
Excellent. Thank you, we need more physicians like yourself that opt to treat conditions naturally rather than default to pharmaceuticals as the first stop.
I love your holistic approach to medicine and openness to see the benefit of lifestyle, supplements as well as medication if appropriate for cardiac health. Lifestyle can be the hardest thing to change in a patient but very beneficial long-term. Brilliant video as ever
If you're going to supplement with EVOO make sure it's organic and from a reputable company....here in the US California Olive Ranch in the dark green bottle is great it's greenish with a nutty smell!
Hi Dr. Gupta! How are you! I have changed the way I eat. I don't eat meat (rarely) I do my best to not eat processed food. I cut out white sugar. I only use olive oil. For about 3 or 4 years now. I feel better. I rarely eat out. I watch GMO foods. I dont drink pop or those drinks that claim to to good for you. Never have. It wasn't bad because I nearly eat that way anyhow. You will feel better! Thank you so much Dr. Gupta!
It is great to see another video from you. I hope you get to feel better soon. I am so grateful for your hard work and willingness to put these videos up!
I’m 75 and had daily AFIB episodes for a couple of years, medicated hypertension, and what I thought was normal age-related aches and pains, even though I had been on a low-fat Mediterranean diet for a decades. My primary care MD, who is a holistic practitioner, suggested I might try a Ketogenic low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet because my labs indicated that even though I was eating lots of fruits, vegetables and no added sugars, I was consuming too many carbs. After a month on Keto, my AFIB episodes gradually but completely stopped, my blood pressure reduced, my inflammation was less, and my A1C and fasting glucose reduced dramatically. It’s now been a year and I have been able to stop any blood pressure meds, I’ve never had another AFIB episode, and my arthritic and tendinitis pain is almost gone. This combination of benefits is very common with those who have converted to a clean Keto lifestyle.
My typical meal- • Starting with a large salad with Romain lettuce, avocado, and small amounts of mini bell peppers, radishes, cucumbers, celery, tomatoes and homemade dressing made with extra virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard and garlic powder. • A substantial portion of either 100% grass-fed beef, pork, chicken, or wild-caught salmon. • A substantial portion of vegetables-broccoli, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts,
Someone mentioned how much your videos reduce anxiety and increase motivation. This is absolutely true for me as well. I started taking magnesium back in May this year after seeing your video on it's potential benefits. I think it has reduced the severity of what feels like AFIB events and given me more stamina. I stopped taking the magnesium (and all caffeine) shortly before going on a MCOT heart monitor in July/August for one month because I wanted to start the test with a "clean" system. Then in the last week of being monitored I went back on caffeine to see if it made a difference. Much to my surprise, my MCOT came back spotless! Even one severe episode I reported using the device was apparently not an AFIB event, hard to believe because my heart felt awful. My surgeon said he has no idea what the event was or any of the other miner events that I reported. I think the magnesium has reduced the severity of what feels to me like an AFIB event, but I have no way of knowing if that is why my heart monitor came back shockingly clean to the point that my heart surgeon said there is no point in doing the ablation surgery. Your videos keep me motivated to keep putting effort into my diet, exercise, sleep, overall life style, magnesium and reduced caffeine.... and I really appreciate that because it is hard to stay on track with a "life style change" for life. I started using a FitBit to track my walking and sleep and will try to stay very focused on a mediterranean diet with olive oil and of course magnesium. I am in my early fifties at 244 pounds, walk an average of 4.5 miles per day measured over a week (that includes all walking, even around the house as measured by the FitBit Charge basic unit, no heart monitor) and sleep a weekly average of just over 4 hours per night (also measured by the FitBit, which I believe to be accurate). I will reply to this comment in October to let you know how I did with weight loss being the main goal for now. Thanks again for all your videos !
I was diagnosed with "Chronic" A-Fib 2 years ago. I have just recently startied a strict diet of Keto to lose my excessive weight. I will check back in after I know more on my results.
I’m down 44 lbs from August(Low Carb Beer stalls Keto Diet. 😑). I have been doing mineral management to maintain 4500mg of Potassium(Dr Berg’s Electrolyte Powder), 500mg of Magnesium and maintain Trace Minerals. When physically active my chest no longer feels strained and fatigued, like it did before. I have my annual with my Doctor in late January. I feel I will need to lose more weight and continue the mineral management before curing the A-Fib. I will see how 2021 goes, but that is my goal. Lose weight, maintain the minerals and clear my A-Fib condition.
I developed fab 6 months ago and have had 4 to 8 incidents a day which last for anywhere from a few minutes to 30 minutes. These incidents are accomplices by dizziness and weakness. I had an ablation scheduled until the coronavirus spreading preempted it. I decided to load up on strong natural anti-inflammatory foods and supplements and started fasting every other day (30 day trial). After two weeks of this routine, my afín has disappeared completely along with any symptoms. This has been gone for two weeks now and I am 28 days into my fast which I will likely extend as it is so sustainable. In addition to my plant based diet including no processed foods, I have been consuming; raw fresh ginger (juiced), turmeric extract high Curcumin content, ceylon cinnamon, cats claw supplement and magnesium supplements. Ron
Exceptional evidence based information that is not influenced by ‘drug money’. Thank you Dr. Gupta. If only medical schools could better teach the values you exhibit. Thank you again and again and again Dr. Gupta. You have given me TONS more information about (my) atrial fibrillations than my "other" doctors have. I really appreciate your generosity.
Take care of yourself Doctor. It's not good to overdo things. And thanks for the AFib tips. I haven't had an attach for about 3 years since I started on betablockers and anticoagulants but I also eat a more or less mediterranean diet; I consume lots of olive oil and take krill oil every evening along with multivitamin/mineral supplement. Feeling fine at almost 80. 😃
I listen to you about AFib all the time .My husband became a AFib 3 months ago.He was vegetarian in 2015 he has heart valves replaced and he did not had any clogged veins at age of 83 .After he got pace maker in March 2 21 he got Pfizer vaccines next day his leg muscles gave and difficult breathing and clots in the heart.doctors said go home nothing they could do. I listen to doctor Eric Burg he said AFib should start out 5G oh deribose L-carltaine miracle happened in two weeks he improved now he can walk half miles without getting short of breath and he does take nutrition yeast and important minerals. So why rest of the medical heart doctor hold back by not telling people who gasping for air that deribose may give heart energies because our old man body quit making ribose .Thanks most the time you’re very good
In my experience, Ron, most doctors aren’t ‘holding back,’ they’re simply ignorant about the subject (undereducated). If I were you, I’d just thank God🙏🏻 that you got a good one!🙏🏻😘💕 Love and All Good Things, Jess.🌹

Just want to mention that I took your advice about taking 500mg. of vitamin C to improve pulse. My pulse has increased from the 40's to the 60's in five days after taking the vit. C. Thank you very much for this adviced. Stan
I have noticed that I am low on potassium and magnesium every time I ended up in the hospital with A fib and the 2 heart attacks I have had. I also noticed that if I eat too much or too fast and certain foods bring on A fib...... it definately has to do with food and how you eat. I also noticed that pushing in the vegas nerve in the neck area helps A fib go away. 😊
@@Noor-jw2tn yup ! Heard that too! Was also told that a too full stomach or hiatal hernia pressing against heart disturbs the electrical rhythm of our hearts causing afib.
I LEARNED 20 YEARS AGO FROM A DOCTOR IN NYC! Take MAGNESIUM, Calcium & vitamin D, ALL AT THE SAME TIME! In 15 minutes my heart started working perfectly!
@@CYndibabI Actually I don't get a fib any more. I do take calcium magnesium + vit D occasionally. I had a quadruple bypass 2 years ago. I have the fastest recovery ever at Mission Hospital. I'm doing great.
I watched this video, expecting to hear about advice to avoid these: Alcohol, caffeine and chocolate, as they send the heart racing. Could you please comment on this? Many thanks for your helpful, common sense and selfless (and sympathetic!) videos. They are so refreshing and different from the usual (conventional) medical approach.
Caffeine is a stimulant of the same type as the illegal but more potent, Amphetamine Sulphate and Cocaine which are both (especially Cocaine), notorious for damaging the heart. I use Caffeine to regulate a part of my Autism known as ADHD, and it's actually quite a potent drug and should be used carefully and in moderation. People who're knocking back cappuccinos all day will no doubt eventually, if not sooner, start having heart problems.
EATING FAT STOPPED MY AFIB. At 69, after years of consuming plant-based nutrition, I suffered my first Afib. For two years I tried every "healthy" diet, but with no charge. By chance I watched a Bob Briggs video "Butter Makes Your Pants Fall Off" that claimed natural fats like butter and fatty cuts of meat might reduced my joint pain. What the hell did I have to lose at this point in my life. Today, 4 months later, not only has my joint pain nearly disappeared, but I have not experiences a single Afib event. Blows me away that this is really happening. Greasy bacon, eggs and buttered toast never tasted so good. If you think I'm nuts... watch the video, read the comments, and make up your own mind.
Exactly...all this just plant bade diet is not healthy we need animales fats and protein people on just plant base diets get thyroid issues cause plants can't cause to yank out iodine out of the thyroid and cause you to not regulate your t4 to t3 that's a fact on a study we did on all these so called plant base triathletes that had only 3% fat and they were having thyroid cancer because plants are goretogenic depending which one it is damaging the thyroid all these people are up on this animal cruelty thing guess what I'll eat the meat they won't consume. Just wait what Bill Gates have in stored for all these plant base dieters...crickets and worms and incest with plants that will br right up their alley. Loaded with soy which causes cancer and blocked your ducts and receptors people like to copy others money see money do...the problem here is the grains that have been manipulate by yours truly Monsanto who have damaged the grains world wide. Now it damages you wake up people stop sleeping on tye FDA/RDA and the whole foods bullshit and all the lies with this " raw, pure, green, organic and natural " that's all a selling tool if your not growing your own vegetables/fruits plants you will be hit with the contamination of the chemtrails fallouts of nanotechnology coming down on earth think it's a lie or making this up ok keep sleeping on that side of the bed.
I have A-fib and type 2 diabetes. For the most part, I try to stick with The Mediterranean diet. I use Greek EVOO with Apple cider vinegar a tsp of French mustard and some herbs to drizzle over many of my foods, especially salads. I find it delicious and I was very happy to hear of the positive results of the Olive Oil. I hope I am doing the right thing.
Good advice but the recommendation of 4 tablespoons a day of olive oil is almost 500 calories. For someone watching their weight that can be a problem.
Not if you are cutting out all simple carbs. You gain weight by combining carbs (bread sugar potatoes rice desserts pasta etc) and fats. I have lost 47# going extremely low carb but if i cut out all carbs i can eat as much as i want. Keto is a way of life. Difficult for those addicted to carbs though.
Thank you so much for all your information and hard work. Pleased you are feeling better and just remember to follow the advice you give your patients.
I appreciate this information, I am always looking for a video like this from someone who discusses "Triggers" that put them into AFIB. When I tell Doctors about my triggers they get a big laugh out of it. I will put myself into Afib if I: a) Eat avocado, b) do physical work for an extended period of time without keeping hydrated , c) Eat a bowl of frozen fruit like blueberries or cherries on a hot summer night, d) eat food with a seasoning in it called MSN I believe, and on and on. If I stay away from these triggers I lesson the frequency of having an episode. I am going to try Jesse Blackstone's recipe for ending the attack. I am 72 and started having AFib attacks, ( 4 to maybe 30 in a given year), when I was about 55, they almost always last about 12 hrs.
Always looking forward to hearing great advice from you. It's such a blessing to have you share your knowledge and wisdom. Long life and more wisdom to you sir.
Hi Dr. Gupta, I have had AF for 25 years had an Ablation done 10 years ago and was cardioverted 16 times. I am 82 and my cardiophysiologist finally suggested a pacemaker and an AVJ ablation which I had recently done. I am on Sotalol 80 mg 3 times a day and need a knee replacement. Would there be any problems? I am a very anxious person and try to eat healthy. Don’t have any other ailments. Thank you for taking your time to educate people. I wish I had known you years ago. Take care of yourself!
Dr. Gupta. Thanks for the video. I've been recently diagnosed with an aneurysm in the aeorta artery of about 5 to 5.3 cm. This was found without any symptoms at a normal check-up at the doctor's office. I'm 66 and my cardiologist says there is nothing I can do to help my healing and that this condition can never go away by itself. Since the diagnosis I've begun taking collogen supplements (copper, manganese, biotin and collogen hydrolysat to my other supplements in the hopes of offering my body the building blocks needed, should it choose to repair the artery. My cardiologist rejects these notions. So, in your opinion, other than avoiding things which could damage the artery further is there anything I might do to support the repair process (other than sleeping more - which I'll be trying now). The damage has not enlarged over the past half/year. Thank you. h
My aneurysm was 5.5cm; I had a titanium Y-shaped stent fitted five years ago; only one night in hospital and no pain. This was done for free under our NHS. Annual check up; so far, so good. I am 82 years old. Good luck.
My dad has Afib. He was diagnosed at age 38. My sister has Afib. She was diagnosed at age 18. Afib runs in my family. I get heart palpitations and suspect I have Afib. I have begun a plant based diet. I am three months in.
I love your videos! Don’t know that I’ve commented but I appreciate all of your thoughts. I love that you make everything so easy to understand and as person with afib you’ve given me things to consider when making my health decisions! Thanks.
I am on my third heart doctor. The first took tests, and at each appointment, talked a bit, I had one ekg., but, l was clueless about my condition, which is A fib. I said to him, "What if I get another episode." He said, " Just take one half of your Toprol. I rarely have episodes, but the Toprol seemed to work, when I had an episode at the vet's office, while waiting for my dog. More recently. I had a more scary episode, and called the squad. My heart went back at the hospital, without inrtervention. What bothered me, was when I told the paramedic, that the Toprol didn't work this time, he said, "We don't recommend that." This made me want to get more answers. I found a doctor who was only at the satellite office, a few days per week, and when I had a crisis with amlodepene swelling my legs, I decided I didn't want that situation, since I had two phone numbers, which didn't get me anywhere. Now, I have A doctor I haven't met yet, but have all the tests, and I am presently wearing a monitor, which will tell if I recognize when I am in A fib. I feel SO much better. The staff there is excellent, and I know ALL my questions, and confusion will be settled. I have apnea, which, I was told caused the A fib. Now...if I can find a blood pressure monitor that makes less noise. I get higher pressure when I hear that sound. We have a food sealer that makes the same sound, and my preessure goes up, when my husband uses it to seal food. I leave the room, LOL..that is my joke for the day...thank you for your wonderful videos.
So happy you finally are getting the medical attention that you need. Doesn't it feel great to feel like you are being heard and listened to about your health condition!?😊
My A-Fib was brought on by my thyroid. I had hyperthyroidism now I’m hypothyroid! It almost killed me with a heart beat of 295!! YIKES!!! It was frightening!
Thank you so much . Very informative We'll be adding extra virgin olive oil to our diet Wife has had Afib in the past where I've had ectopics Keep up the great work 👍
It's simply because they ate more vegetables, beans, and grains than they were before. Replacing other foods with these things will almost always improve your out come. Studies show they would have done much better without the oil and animal products.
MSG causes me to have episodes. Took me 6 years to figure that out. It’s not easy to avoid msg though. You have to cook your own food mostly. Most foods have it and they call it “natural flavoring “
Thank you Doctor. I will concentrate on following your advice on improving my diet and lifestyle in the hope to prevent a stroke or a heart attack since I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation . I am fearful of anticoagulants
The largest risk with AFIB is stroke. Don't discount blood thinners. The last thing you want is a stroke that may cripple you for life. I'm on Eliquis after three strokes in two weeks. But you can at least try aspirin, turmeric, ginger, garlic, cayenne pepper, cinnamon all can thin blood. A simple blood test can tell if they are working. Dont risk stroke please.
Mediterranian diet is indeed good for the heart. However, this is not the only factor. Méditerranéen have better family life. That is a culture: close relationship between parents children-grand parents. Friends. If you don't feel well, you can be certain relatives and friends come visiting trying to find solution..sometmes its too much but this is good for the heart in general.
Dr. Gupta, you're my main source of medical info. I completely trust you, unlike the US med system run by lobbyists and big pharma. You give solid info in a way that's very understandable. Wish I could find a doctor with just a few of your qualities here in the US. Don't think they exist, since I've lived on every coast. Just a HUGE thank you for your honesty and calming delivery. You've helped me understand and make many life adjustments through the understanding. :-)
I love olive oil and try to buy extra virgin olive oil from Italy. Its getting harder and harder to find. I even put it in my smoothies or flax seed oil. Drinking green smoothies in the morning have decreased my "flutters" but I will take my meds. Thank you for this video and diet study. We truly are what we eat.
44JesusIsLord44 I put power greens like baby kale, chard, arugala, spinach full of magnesium and other minerals, a frozen banana, pure raw honey, almond butter, pecans, a lemon, medjool dates and a little whey powder milk or just low fat powdered milk and 2 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil . blend and freeze any leftovers in an icetray. Keeps you full all day. I cook with olive oil but never, never on high heat.
Living in Spain. Eating low carb aged 72 seem to have fixed afib with an increase in electrolytes. KetoAid potassium salt, apple cider vinegar. Hope this helps.
Thanks a lot for this video and all your videos. I'm 32 and i've had Afib fir 4 years. I was having beta blocker for that period but had an episod every year or so. For now 4 months I stoped beta blockers because it is only adressing the symptoms and decided to attack the root cause, which is inflamation, by changing my lifestyle. I lost weight as a side effect and feel much better. I'm having lots of polyphenol rich foods olive oil, caper, dark chocolate and lots and lots of vegies. What is revolting me is the fact that i've seen at least 5 different cardiologues and none of them mentioned inflamation or even encouraged me to improve my lifestyle to reduce my risks of stoke or other risk factors. More people need to know that they are not helpless. I was wondering what is your take for vitamin c supplementation in preventing Fib
Adel, I am 33. And skinny. And eat well. Have you thought about ablation? I want my life back. Like you, I have a-fib about once every 6 months. Sometimes I can stop it myself by barring down like I am pooping. Other times I have to get cardioverted with shock at the ER. I'd love to hear from ya so you and I can compare notes.
hi.. i have chronic AFib..which also led to a stroke in 2012. i am no doctor, only a victim . since AFib is caused by out of sync electrical signals from the brain to the heart, one has to look at foods which reduce excess agitation in the brain (i am only going by intuition , not medical knowhow) reduce : salt, carbonated drinks/energy drinks, alcohol, red meats, processed foods and spicy foods (the hardest part for us indians) recommended: homemade comfort foods like our indian khitchuri, dals, vegetables, curd rice etc would be perhaps good. fruits like papaya, stewed guava, bananas are soothing . curd , homemade paneer, whey, buttermilk (salt reduced) a cup of tea per day is soothing. all kinds of packaged snacks should be avoided. thanks
Supriya Dasgupta good advice. I have followed a plant based diet, avoided unprocessed foods etc. Exercised Daily for 30 years. I have still developed lone afib. I can only imagine if I ate a typical western diet and was overweight, my prognosis would be worse
Yes, virgin cold pressed Italian olive has been recognised for it's health giving properties for centuries. Here in Italy we presumably, naturally eat a more Mediterranean style diet than say more northern counties. However, the interesting fact is here cardiology departments are stuffed full of patients, cardiologists are working flat out and hospital out patient clinics are busy, busy, busy. Has anyone ever compared the foot traffic through an Italian cardio ward ( full of Mediterranean diet consumers) with one in Scotland, for example, as representing consumers of a northern non Mediterranean diet? The facts don't add up, do they?
Ann Gray, Good point about the cardi ward. The doctors here in the States are blaming covid for all heart problems. What olive oil brand do you like? The supermarket ones just don’t taste like the one my parents bought many moons ago.
I love your videos, thank you so much for taking the time to produce them. My heart has been skipping beats quite regularly, and you have put my mind at rest. So much of what you say in your videos makes me smile, for one thing I am now wearing an I watch which will record my ecg, if I did not have that I would probably not even notice my Heart fluttering. So Maybe having the I watch could be causing anxiety. By the way, we did live in England many years ago, and you is one of my most favorite places is York
What exactly is a Mediterranean diet? I’ve yet to find any source which specifies precisely what constitutes a m.d. there’s a hazy notion of its being healthy fats and vegetables but the reality is that pork, sausages, beef, salami, pastas etc are widely consumed in the Mediterranean region.
It seems to me that the most anti inflammatory diet is the Keto diet. Of course it is high in good fats but the weight loss would be a good lifestyle change and generally cholesterol goes down with it.
More cases of AF in group on low fat diet. This is as expected as low fat means high carb and the carb is responsible for causing inflammation. Concur?
I am very satisfied with this research .I have since started using Extra Virgin Olive Oil.However I have some doubt in the quality available here in Nigeria. the
I've had A-fib since I was twenty (I'm 61 now).
When I have an episode and require to cardiovert, I take 2 tablespoonfuls of cod liver oil, 800 mg of potassium, and 800 mg of magnesium, which restore me to a normal sinus rhythm within a few minutes to an hour. Works every time.
I do adhere to a whole food plant-based diet, don't drink, smoke, or do anything else ridiculous. I also take specific supplements daily. They are: 1600 mg magnesium, 800 mg potassium, CoQ10 with PQQ, Garlic, Vitamin E with all eight components, sea salt, iodine, vitamin B12, 5 g of powdered Vitamin C, I tablespoon of Omega 3 from krill oil, lutein, zinc, cinnamon, chromium, and milk thistle.
I drink at least a gallon of water a day, purified via a Big Berkey filtration system.

while I wait to see a Doctor.
Berries have 10 times the antioxidants of other fruit.
So glad you're back!!!! I love your videos, they really put me at ease!!! Thanks for all you do!!!
Thank you for all the work you do for people with all these heart health issues. Done with great kindness & compassion.
Gupta!
Glad to see you back.
So glad you're feeling better! Thanks for all you do!
Keto appears not to work for all. May I ask, is your blood group O?
Great work! You might find my post interesting as it agrees with you...
Can you give an example of meals you eat?
My typical meal-
• Starting with a large salad with Romain lettuce, avocado, and small amounts of mini bell peppers, radishes, cucumbers, celery, tomatoes and homemade dressing made with extra virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard and garlic powder.
• A substantial portion of either 100% grass-fed beef, pork, chicken, or wild-caught salmon.
• A substantial portion of vegetables-broccoli, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts,
@@prettyme3150 I'd love to know more aboit this subject. If blood group is o is that a good indicator for keto????
Excellent as ever. So much knowledge and personal experience in the comments too. Heart warming!
Thanks Doc and All x
Thank you so much for all the work u do. We can't tell you how calming u are and so informative. Thank u from the bottom of our hearts❤️
That sounds good. looking forward to your update. Hope you're doing well.

@@riteasrain Still struggling with the diet.... Oct 2021
Was the study cited sponsored by the olive society ?
I was diagnosed with "Chronic" A-Fib 2 years ago. I have just recently startied a strict diet of Keto to lose my excessive weight. I will check back in after I know more on my results.
Any updates? Thx!
Ron
Your extra weight was obviously causing inflammation, which led to A-Fib
Congratulations on taking action! Keep up the good work.
Great point about Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Even Dr. Steven Gundry the Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon consumes 1L of EVO every week. Great video as usual.
so glad to see you again Dr Gupta. Get better and stay healthy and continue to give us all this priceless advise. God Bless
What a likeable person you are. I wish health and happiness in your life .
Exceptional evidence based information that is not influenced by ‘drug money’. Thank you Dr. Gupta. If only medical schools could better teach the values you exhibit. It is shameful that our medical establish has inappropriately swayed our system of care from health to illness care. Professor-Elizabeth
Which anti-coagulant?
Thank you for this information on diet. Very useful.
Stimulants like coffee and alcohol can stimulate an attack in my case . Thank you for your talk .
If I were you, I’d just thank God🙏🏻 that you got a good one!🙏🏻😘💕

Just want to mention that I took your advice about taking
500mg. of vitamin C to improve pulse. My pulse has
increased from the 40's to the 60's in five days after
taking the vit. C. Thank you very much for this adviced.

Can you tell me more about this? My resting heart rate is also in the 40s and I would love to know how to increase it. It totally freaks me out!
If you bear down like you are having a movement, the Afib can resolve also.

In 15 minutes my heart started working perfectly!
how are YOU doing now? how often did OR do YOU get afib for?

@g quin , No good 🤔 It is because you buy a cheap low quality American extra virgin olive oil which mostly not 100% pure.
HA!
Dark chocolate, consumed once a week, is actually reducing the risk of Afib.
@@Segorean Where is the medical proof for this, as I find it a strange statement? Thanks.

If you think I'm nuts... watch the video, read the comments, and make up your own mind.
as long as your cholesterol checked, that's fine.
I’ve lost weight and not had an new episode with much the same diet.
So good that you're feeling better. Dr Steven Gundry has been saying for years that the purpose of eating is to take in olive oil!
I have A-fib and type 2 diabetes. For the most part, I try to stick with The Mediterranean
diet. I use Greek EVOO with Apple cider vinegar a tsp of French mustard and some herbs to drizzle over many of my foods, especially salads. I find it delicious and I was very happy to hear of the positive results of the Olive Oil. I hope I am doing the right thing.
You're fantastic Dr. S ; pl continue to educate ppl like us
Good advice but the recommendation of 4 tablespoons a day of olive oil is almost 500 calories.
Difficult for those addicted to carbs though.
marsack7 - you mean like, everyone? Keto is a lifestyle!!
Thank you so much for all your information and hard work. Pleased you are feeling better and just remember to follow the advice you give your patients.

Don’t apologize! Glad you got some rest. Your health is important, too! Thanks for the informative videos. Wish you were my doctor!
Great to see a Doctor really trying to help with food and oils to help for atrial fibrillation...
Interesting.
Always looking forward to hearing great advice from you. It's such a blessing to have you share your knowledge and wisdom. Long life and more wisdom to you sir.
Hi Dr. Gupta,
I have had AF for 25 years
had an Ablation done 10 years ago and was cardioverted 16 times. I am 82 and my cardiophysiologist finally suggested a pacemaker and
an AVJ ablation which I had recently done. I am on Sotalol 80 mg 3 times a day
and need a knee replacement. Would there be any problems? I am a very anxious person and try to eat healthy. Don’t have any other ailments. Thank you for taking your time to educate people.
I wish I had known you years ago.
Take care of yourself!
Thank you for the video - and all the others too. Your work is helping so many people.
Thank you Dr. Sanjay.
Very helpful information.
I'm happy to hear that you are feeling better.
Dr.
Thanks.
Good to see you back Dr Gupta, always very informative and so interesting, thank you!
We are so glad you are back!
We're so grateful for you Dr. Gupta! GOD Bless!

Has adding the olive oil into your diet worked?
This guy is the best. Videos are so great. Thank you!!!
That's interesting!!
THERE YOU ARE!!!! We missed your handsome face and brilliant mind and kind heart!!!!! Don't go away again, I forbid it! ;)

I love olive oil and try to buy extra virgin olive oil from Italy. Its getting harder and harder to find. I even put it in my smoothies or flax seed oil. I put power greens like baby kale, chard, arugala, spinach full of magnesium and other minerals, a frozen banana, pure raw honey, almond butter, pecans, a lemon, medjool dates and a little whey powder milk or just low fat powdered milk and 2 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil . blend and freeze any leftovers in an icetray. Keeps you full all day. I cook with olive oil but never, never on high heat.
Living in Spain. Eating low carb aged 72 seem to have fixed afib with an increase in electrolytes. KetoAid potassium salt, apple cider vinegar. Hope this helps.
Lovely video, doctor. Please research coconut oil in lieu of olive for cardiovascular benefit. Thank you
No Extra Virgin Olive Oil has many more benefits than coconut oil.
Like you, I have a-fib about once every 6 months. hi.. i have chronic AFib..which also led to a stroke in 2012. i am no doctor, only a victim . since AFib is caused by out of sync electrical signals from the brain to the heart, one has to look at foods which reduce excess agitation in the brain (i am only going by intuition , not medical knowhow) reduce : salt, carbonated drinks/energy drinks, alcohol, red meats, processed foods and spicy foods (the hardest part for us indians) recommended: homemade comfort foods like our indian khitchuri, dals, vegetables, curd rice etc would be perhaps good. fruits like papaya, stewed guava, bananas are soothing . curd , homemade paneer, whey, buttermilk (salt reduced) a cup of tea per day is soothing. all kinds of packaged snacks should be avoided. thanks
Supriya Dasgupta good advice. I have followed a plant based diet, avoided unprocessed foods etc. Exercised Daily for 30 years. I have still developed lone afib. I can only imagine if I ate a typical western diet and was overweight, my prognosis would be worse
Thankyou , glad you are feeling better, good again
Would you get the same effect with Avocado oil?
Good question.
The Mediterranean diet there includes Gelatto and all those lovely Italian sweets
I love your videos, thank you so much for taking the time to produce them. My heart has been skipping beats quite regularly, and you have put my mind at rest. Well! My diet seems to get an “A”grade. Been on Mediterranean diet for years. Have cut back on alcohol by about 80%.
Thank you again, DR. Gupta. Helpful.
It seems to me that the most anti inflammatory diet is the Keto diet. Of course it is high in good fats but the weight loss would be a good lifestyle change and generally cholesterol goes down with it.
Fantastic as usual Dr Sanjay, thank you so very much!
Yes, very glad you are back. Can you do a video on your perspective of DNA SNP analysis and how it can integrate with nutrition, diet and lifestyle?
Perhaps other antioxidants and anti-inflammatories could be substituted for the olive oil. I'm reluctant to add any sort of oil to my diet.
Why?
@@suzanneemerson9787 Americans have long been encouraged to cut down on fats & oils.
Awesome. Thanks for the great video.
More cases of AF in group on low fat diet. This is as expected as low fat means high carb and the carb is responsible for causing inflammation. Concur?
@g quin Fool.
Low fat does not equal high carb. A plant based or Mediterranean diet would be primarily fruits, vegetables, fish beans etc.
