FILM// My Very First Mule Deer (2022)

This is my 2022 deer hunt. All (or most - as time allowed) the raw successes, failures, struggles, fears, joys, loves, excitement, and disappointment. Ultimately, I filled my deer tag, during general rifle season here in Montana, but it didn't come easy. It never does. Sometimes I wish hunting were easier, and maybe it could be; but at the same time, I appreciate my trophy all the more because of the impressive feats that came before I notched this tag. I don't take lightly all of the backstage events that lead up to the taking of such a great deer, or any game animal. This seemingly-insignificant deer caused me to question everything I had in me. This high-country mule deer buck was a true mountain warrior, but alongside him, I discovered my own self as a true mountain warrior during this hunt.
