Wow, never heard of these. I've seen 2 Gen 2 controllers on a property, & now I now to recommend 1 of these!

What if you want to use two controllers in system that has a common wire AND a common Master valve? Will your scenerio A work? Or do I need 4 isolators?

Yes, you are correct! In your case you can still do it with 2 Isolators and would be like Digram A in the installation instructions. You would not connect any field common wires directly to the controllers but instead connect ALL the field commons to the White wire of the Red/White pair of the Isolators. Then the Red of the Red/White pair would be the hot wire for the master valve. This will run all commons through the Isolators so both controllers are protected.

Very interesting, but I wonder why wouldn't you just use a single 24vac transformer, connected to both controllers? The controllers will work perfectly with only one AC transformer and have only one common back to source! ;)

Interesting perspective. However, I believe you will short the controller's hot terminal when the other controller is running a station and vice verse. Those hot terminals are only to send power, not to receive it, regardless if they're running from the same power. I was trying to connect two rachios to the same hot wire of a master valve and Kapoot.. I'm typing with only one hand now
