Please do not encourage illegal use of roadways by showing cyclists breaking the law in a promotional video: 1:11 Cyclists may not ride side by side on roadways in BC. Motor Vehicle Act 183(1)2)(d): "must not ride abreast of another person operating a cycle on the roadway"
But do you like Mobi? ;) Come on now, your point may be a good one but let's celebrate this great initiative that will undoubtedly take cars off the road. Who knows, maybe someday we'll ride five abreast of each other down a car-free avenue celebrating how amazing a self-propelled city can be! ;) I say, 3 cheers for Mobi and our progressive city leadership which encourages green alternatives that benefit everyone ultimately.
When that day comes and what you suggest would be legal I would applaud it. But the fact is that this is a corporation that is (perhaps unwittingly) showing people doing something illegal while using their product. Many people are unfamiliar with the rules of the road so including something like what is shown here in a promotional video is not helping.
