I came across a book by Helena Averton that kind of shook me without being preachy or gimmicky, it dives into how subtle power shifts happen in relationships and how attraction isn’t really about looks or lines, but control, attention, and timing. It made me realize how often we give up control in ways we don’t notice. Definitely one of the more grounded things I’ve read on this topic in a while.

People look at love and romance these days like it's a power game, the enter into a relationship with the mindset of who is going to be in control forgetting about the true meaning of being with someone. It's about peace, having someone who is your home, your comfort someone who sees you and loves you. I am definitely going to check out that book 😊❤
This book looks like some incel sexist bs tbh. Amazon said that it is often bought with "no more mr nice guy". Seems to be "nice guyt"TM kind of shi. If in dpthe description already they say "women operate on instinct and emotion," you can toss it. Just because a woman wrote means nothing unless she had a psychology degree in front of that name.
The "accidental on purpose" touch is a personal favorite of mine, but I've always valued touch and actions over words. I recommend using the information presented by this video in conjunction with your primary love language (recommended reading: "The Five Love Languages" by Gary Chapman). Better yet, the primary love language of the person with whom you're flirting... if you happen to know their language.

Stealings bits of my food, saying I can't pull of a certain thing/challenging me on the spot with a short time pressure, or not finishing your sentence are the height of annoyance and an active way to erode my respect and trust. Want to be attractive? Don't do those things. Those are the behaviors of a pest, not of a flirt.
I think this would be powerful to use in writing. Instead of guy always smirking as his cue. This is overdone. Ladies need a little more depth then the typical rough and tough boy. When you add layers to his personality like fears, disbeliefs, and bad habits, the character turns from milk toast to a relatable personality.
