Now THIS is a creepypasta game. No jumpscares, no demons, no self-awareness, no blood. Just a well-known game with a creepier feel to it. Finally, someone who understands how to give off a creepy atmosphere without using cliches. Bravo! :D (Okay, it has one screamer, but it only happens if you let the "play again" timer go down and let's be honest. It wasn't that bad of a screamer at all.)

I did a bit research, Clyde seems to also mute all sounds for a second. All levels from 5 till 9 have nothing new besides the stage getting invisible and all you can see is your field of view.

Blindy wanders about, like a dumb A.I., Screamy rockets towards you on sight (kinda reminds me of a Pinky Demon for those familiar with the famous FPS pioneer DooM), Slendy's attack pattern is pretty self-explanatory, and The Old One basically behaves like Count Von Blubba, the "Time Up" Monsta in Bubble Bobble; it phases through walls in the same exact fashion.
I was really surprised this game. Not only is it a good EXE game that also has a unnerving atmosphere AND actual gameplay, but it also very simple. Usually, EXE games have some kind of backstory, but this is just as simple as the game it's based on. The only downside is that it has jumpscares in it, but I guess that's a cliché in horror you can't avoid.

You know, that stock screamer effect when you let the play again timer run out is actually pretty fitting. An old game with little ability to replay good recordings and it plays distorted compressed sounds because it literally doesn't have the capability to make it sound better.
If you look at the level number it'll rapidly change to the ghost's name. The blue was Blindy, the red one was Screamy, and I think the orange one said "Slendy"... -_-

Not only does this add a nice atmosphere, and new gameplay mechanics, but it also opens the game up to more strategies. Since you can only see the portion of the maze that is in your line of sight, it's better to stick to the long pathways where you see more of the map, picking the best times to rush through the shorter sections.

This EXE game is basically Pac-Man if it was a survival-horror game akin to Resident Evil and Silent Hill, which seems very fitting and feels like a darker version of the classic arcade game rather than just another Sonic.exe or Lost Silver clone like most EXE games tends to be. It looks pretty awesome.

Also there's a similar but non horror flash game to this called Paxon and there's a variety of ghosts that have different moves kinda like this, except you're trying to conquer space in the screen and some ghosts destroy what you collect.
This is an exe game done right. I love the fact that it's the subtle things about it that make it actually scary, and it doesn't use a bunch of screamers and jumpscares to try and be scary.

Fun Fact: The level number some times flashes to the ghost's names Inky is now "Blindy" (sense he floats around the map aimlessly) Blinky is now "Screamy" (sense he screams and charges at you when he sees you) Clyde is now "Slendy" (sense his behavior is very similar to Slenderman's) And (if he had gotten to level 4) Pinky would be "Old One" (I don't know why she's name "Old One", but she goes though the walls of the map and buzzes when she gets close)
So I have a theory behind the design of this game other than just some aesthetically pleasing creepypasta, when the "INSERT COIN" text flickers to "INSERT SOUL" I think that was meant to trap the player inside a game to become into an ghost. When you loose the game you're playing in a 3D version which meant the player is now trapped inside the game. Notice how the ghosts you're playing against look like they were designed and programmed to act like real ghosts (Inky moves around randomly, Pinky goes through walls, Blinky only chases you when you're near them, and Clyde teleports to different spots randomly). Anywho, this is the best creepypasta game I've seen yet in a long time.
All the stage numbers do that. It's the name of whatever ghost makes its first appearance in that stage. Stage 1 is Blindy (functionally identical to real version's ghosts), stage 2 is Screamy (similar to Blindy but screams and comes for you at a high speed if it sees you), stage 3 is Slendy (teleports around, may teleport to your position if it sees you), and stage 4 is Old One (like Blindy but goes thru walls).
The game has a bit more detail than is shown due to how difficult it can get, but here is a basic rundown In Order: Blue (Inky) Basic Pacman ghost, runs around and fucks your shit up if you aren't careful. Red (Blinky) Sporadic behaviour, shifts through 'hallways' and chases Pacman if he is seen for too long. Orange (Clyde) Pops up and can kill if stared at long enough [Slenderman Mechanic] Pink (Pinky) Floats through walls, can't be seen from a distance but is easy to spot close. Yellow (???) Essentially Orange but with a bit more unpredictable behaviour, can kill by spawning where you are and ending your life, maybe former Pacman life? Now here comes miscellaneous shit, like rounds and stuff. Round 1-4 Introduction of new ghosts, nothing too bad Round 5 Bricks changing faster, shit getting out of hand. Nice job if you managed to make it this far Round 6 Shit starts disappearing, yo Rounds 7-? Bricks despawn quicker, AI becomes more advanced, prepare your anus. Jumpscares 1: Not clicking the Retry button will cause Red (Blinky) to pop up on your screen with a cheesy fucking scream 2: Getting got by any of the ghosts may cause your screen to flip shit and have that goddamn scream again Hidden Werds 1: Lives - Deaths 2: (Screamy) pops up on menu, could be the name of Yellow ghost 3: Souls/Soul 4: (Blindy) 5: Dread This game is pretty fuckin brutal tho 10/10

I think this is a good exe game.
The asteic is well done, there aren't too many jumpscares, and each level has their own gimmick to stand out from the others
This EXE game is basically Pac-Man if it was a survival-horror game akin to Resident Evil and Silent Hill, which seems very fitting and feels like a darker version of the classic arcade game rather than just another Sonic.exe or Lost Silver clone like most EXE games tends to be. It looks pretty awesome.
Yesss I've played this game! Loved it too! I clicked right away when I saw the ghost! Also there's a similar but non horror flash game to this called Paxon and there's a variety of ghosts that have different moves kinda like this, except you're trying to conquer space in the screen and some ghosts destroy what you collect.
This is an exe game done right. I love the fact that it's the subtle things about it that make it actually scary, and it doesn't use a bunch of screamers and jumpscares to try and be scary.
I caught the Insert Soul and tweeted the screenshot to Mutahar.
Some of you have mentioned actual jumpscares in this game, so I'm intrigued.

the 3 stuff of the left that says level, score, and lives changes like its words changes. For example, score changes to dread and the number of the level changes to blindly, and the word level changes to ghost, and lives changes to death.
There’s actually 4 more levels in this game! The next one has pinky, the next has the level glitching almost completely, the next has a ghost pac man chase you, and the next is a first person pac man thing with pac man chasing you
Fun Fact: The level number some times flashes to the ghost's names
Inky is now "Blindy" (sense he floats around the map aimlessly)
Blinky is now "Screamy" (sense he screams and charges at you when he sees you)
Clyde is now "Slendy" (sense his behavior is very similar to Slenderman's)
And (if he had gotten to level 4) Pinky would be "Old One" (I don't know why she's name "Old One", but she goes though the walls of the map and buzzes when she gets close)
So I have a theory behind the design of this game other than just some aesthetically pleasing creepypasta, when the "INSERT COIN" text flickers to "INSERT SOUL" I think that was meant to trap the player inside a game to become into an ghost. When you loose the game you're playing in a 3D version which meant the player is now trapped inside the game. Notice how the ghosts you're playing against look like they were designed and programmed to act like real ghosts (Inky moves around randomly, Pinky goes through walls, Blinky only chases you when you're near them, and Clyde teleports to different spots randomly). Anywho, this is the best creepypasta game I've seen yet in a long time.

At 6:39 the number 2 in the top left changes to screamy for a split second. Cool detail
All the stage numbers do that. It's the name of whatever ghost makes its first appearance in that stage. Stage 1 is Blindy (functionally identical to real version's ghosts), stage 2 is Screamy (similar to Blindy but screams and comes for you at a high speed if it sees you), stage 3 is Slendy (teleports around, may teleport to your position if it sees you), and stage 4 is Old One (like Blindy but goes thru walls).
The level number flashes to the name of the ghost it introduces.
The game has a bit more detail than is shown due to how difficult it can get, but here is a basic rundown
In Order:
Blue (Inky)
Basic Pacman ghost, runs around and fucks your shit up if you aren't careful.
Red (Blinky)
Sporadic behaviour, shifts through 'hallways' and chases Pacman if he is seen for too long.
Orange (Clyde)
Pops up and can kill if stared at long enough [Slenderman Mechanic]
Pink (Pinky)
Floats through walls, can't be seen from a distance but is easy to spot close.
Yellow (???)
Essentially Orange but with a bit more unpredictable behaviour, can kill by spawning where you are and ending your life, maybe former Pacman life?
Now here comes miscellaneous shit, like rounds and stuff.
Round 1-4
Introduction of new ghosts, nothing too bad
Round 5
Bricks changing faster, shit getting out of hand. Nice job if you managed to make it this far
Round 6
Shit starts disappearing, yo
Rounds 7-?
Bricks despawn quicker, AI becomes more advanced, prepare your anus.
Jumpscares
1: Not clicking the Retry button will cause Red (Blinky) to pop up on your screen with a cheesy fucking scream
2: Getting got by any of the ghosts may cause your screen to flip shit and have that goddamn scream again
