A tip: try these out first in creative to get the muscle memory, then move to a pit or quick round pvp to get it in use against real people, then move to longer more intense games. Pit pvp is a great way to try out new moves.
This video had "Beginner" in the title, so I thought, it was for me. But all I'm hearing is "if you wanna go high fast, you just have to do a single-blurp-180-flupe-jigsaw-fiddle-blam on top of a squiggle-sting move". I'm actually really just looking for something along the lines of "how do I build a wall?"
It would be amazing if this became a series, like having a easy, intermediate (which is this video), good, great, expert, and pro-level build, edit, and fighting moves would be great.
I think this is your best building video yet. Thank you for slowing things down and really going through each thing. Not every player knows all of these, thanks!!
I also just switched to optimal binds as well and this video helped me a lot. New season is actually good opportunity to practice in creative while still being able to play pubs in no build mode.
Holy cow. I’ve been playing since cha 1 season 9 and I thought I had gotten pretty damn good at building. A lot of beginner players said I was amazing. This video is a huge wake-up and I realize how much I have to learn, and why so many creative players are beating me
Chap. 1 Season 3 here and I feel the same. So many beginners are telling me I’m good at building but I knew I was sloppy. The fact I don’t know like a quarter or even had of this is a wake-up call for me as well 😂
Watching this made me realise how complicated building actually is! Cos I’ve been playing so long it is second nature so looking back kinda makes you appreciate how skilful building actually is
For real. I just started a week or so ago and building is really tough for me. I am pretty much limited to the basic box to protect myself while healing and ramps/floors to go up and down cliffs and buildings. If I build during a fight it's almost always because I pressed the wrong key by accident! 🤣
It would be awesome if eventually this videos would flow into the series on how to combine different building moves together. Thanks for amazing videos
Here is my experience: In the 1st day of trying different build techniques, I only could do 90s and Thwifo cone. I took a break. After that 2nd day, I practiced edit and old builds. Its been a week and i finally got the highwalls and the side jumps. I strongly suggest taking breaks after each successful builds.
That's the most helpful video that gives you a very clear guide on how you could really improve in the game, I am new to the game and I did really struggle finding where I should start into becoming a better player, so I think finally I found what I was looking for. Thank you for the video and wish to see more great content from you!!
This gonna help a lot since I was a controller player but I was just to good that I kinda got bored of it and I had a pc but I never used it so I switched and i already spent time finding the perfect settings for me and practiced editing so I will be able to progress fast
This is one of the best videos i have ever watched to learn to build in fortnite i use to type how to free build how to double edit but no video gave me amazing results like this one now i compete in cash cups fill cups and get top 20 or top 5 everytime i selected each things and made a time table training lesson practicing these all the time thank you so much i really appreciate this i might even become the first girl in the fortnite world cup
Personally, I really need more of these useful techniques as I'm not very good at building fighting but I'm dominant in movement, peaks, box fighting, and aiming. I really noticed it when building got removed in pubs. I'm dominating in pubs getting basically first place every time. Just dropping 20 kills with my friend basically every time.
I being palying this game for a almsot two years, i started with xbox , now on pc with 240 but still keep messing my builds i often lock myself while climing xd very nice video
hey jivan very nice video for beginners and intermediate players! thank you! could you explain that cone flip in another video again? it sounds easy but I dont really know how to do it and when to press which keybind.
This is the kind of guide I need the playback setting just to follow what this guy does in the video. The building and editing looks so random, but it fascinates me how well it works for players who know it.
Love this bro. I play on PS4. We play battle Royale a lot but my interest isn’t winning, it’s strategically breaking down an opponent using materials. I started practicing in creative yesterday from the beginning and I can’t wait to play more like you pros and add my only little twists in it too. This really helps me. Yeap im a dad/cleaner/PT but I’m squeezing in 3 practice sessions a day and also applying it in a few live games to action what I’ve learnt with pressure as well. Definitely helping me!!! New sub for sure and I love all the vids!!
These are amazing moves that would have taken me soooooo long before even imagining them, given I'm truly scared to even try to build at all. But, thanks OP, this is crazy cool
The best way to get good at building is to actually build and get comfortable with building. It’s simple but could be very hectic if you don’t practice under pressure

Dude needs way more subs. I just started playing pc fortnite seriously for about 4 days and this video has helped tremendously with the adjustment. Thank you so much jivan
I know this video is a year old but I'm glad I found it because I could not, for the life of me, understand how building works. So I stuck to ZB but I recently found myself getting bored of that mode so I've been wanting to try out OG battle Royale. This video helped me understand the basics and I'm practicing everyday now. Right now, I'm just focused on ramp rushing and getting familiar with cross hair placement. Thanks for making this video, man. Really help me out 😊
Is this a joke? You didn't explain how to do one single thing lol. You just described a bunch of complicated maneuvers with zero explanation of how to actually accomplish them.
This was so helpful. I’ve been stuck in champ for so long because of my awful building but I’ve been practicing when I can and hopefully I’ll get unreal by the end of the season.
I started playing Fortnite in the second last week of chapter 4 season 2. I play with my son and he loves builds, but I prefer zero build because I suck at building 😅 hopefully videos like this will help me improve and feel more confident in those end game build fights.
Dude I'm so glad to made this video. I've seen about 5 video were they talking about building but they do it so fast I don't even know what's going on.
If you are learning these don’t do it fast, do it slow so your brain can understand it and also remember to take brakes and take notes and slow down the video so you can understand it if your having problems copying what he is doing
Hey Jivan, would you mind answering this question? Well, whenever I try to learn any skill in Fortnite I just can't focus andy brain starts to hurt aka headache lol, NO but seriously I just can't focus when I try to train. Please help me out! I would really appreciate it ☺️
