*IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER* These affirmations are meant to provide the kind words and validation every child deserves, but many did not receive. 😞This can stir up deep emotions. Please be gentle with yourself as you listen, and take breaks if needed. If you find that it brings up overwhelming feelings, consider reaching out to a trusted friend, therapist, or mental health professional for support. ♥ You’re not alone on this journey, and your well-being is so, so important!!
Thank you for being here. I really hope this video can bring you comfort and help you find a sense of healing (that you very much deserve). 🥹💕 LOVE YOU ALL SO FRICKIN HECKIN MUCH! Let's keep going; we got this!! ♡

one thing my mom has said that I never fully appreciated until I was older was "I will always love you". I messed up in my life and felt unlovable so often- so hearing her say that even after I have messed up and gone through hell has meant so much.

    • @Ur_grl_mads

My parents said that but they also said that I was ungrateful and once I said I didn’t want to wear a certain color to school bc I rlly hated my school and the environment of it so I told my mom that I didn’t want to wear it bc my school said so (she was a teacher and I was going to her school the next year for a cte) she said that if I did that she wouldn’t let me go there bc they could hurt her image at work. I was in eighth grade. She also favored my brother and spoiled him so much and if I had done half the things he did my mother would have offed me. Whenever I’d try to apologize my dad would always say don’t be sorry be better and I was trying to say sorry for doing something wrong and he discarded that as if it was just a word that means nothing

I got a performance bonus at work. Later I went to pick up my girlfriend for a date and I told her about it. I didn't explain the exact criteria for it or the exact amount but she understood I was paid extra money as a reward for being good at my job. She was very excited about it but never once said anything about spending. No shopping or trips or even dinner plans beyond what we already made. Later we are hanging out with 2 of her girlfriends and she's telling them about my bonus. Again, nothing about spending it, she's simply bragging to her friends that she has a guy with a job and he's good at it enough to be rewarded with extra pay.
She was proud of me. It's something I never even expected from her because it's something I never got from either of my parents.

I remember commenting once before about my parents, and to hear these words that i should have heard on a regular basis, breaks my heart for myself and others that didn’t get this. I was body shamed by my aunt for most of my childhood. She would prod at my stomach during the chubby stage of my childhood. Saying i should watch what I ate or I’d end up like my mother, etc. Saying i had a bad childhood makes me feel unworthy, knowing so many others had way worse experiences than me. So in the end, I’d like to say thank you Lauren, thank you for always being a outlet and a safe space for myself and so many others. And for people reading this, you are worthy of love, respect, and support. No child should go without hearing those words. Stay safe and know that it is 100% ok to ask for help. Love, Love, Love ❤️

My parents never said stuffs like these and as a young women who is lost in life, you are tremendously helping. Love you. I hope you feel loved too, we are here for you !Thank you

Starting off with “I love you just as you are” to be semi-vulnerable I have eczema and have it worse on my feet. I was self conscious about it but just simply hearing those words literally calmed my nervous system all the way down instantly. This video continuously helps me understand the importance of self-love and the power of its restoration. I really felt God through this video. This is a prime example of “words have power.” Love you Frivvi!!!

I am really proud of myself this year because now that I’m not in survival mode, I’ve really started to grow and nurture my inner child/ teen, and figure out who I am as a person❤ your videos have really helped me in times of need, please keep doing what you’re doing frivy ❤

Thank you for this Friv. I really needed these. I lost my dad a little over a week ago and have been dealing with all of the insanity of planning, tidying up his loose ends, and all the rest. My relationship with him wasn’t always great, but it was always led with love. I miss the guy more than anything, and he didn’t say most of these things out loud even if he felt them. It’s wonderful to see many in the comments bonding over lots of shared grief, trauma, and also love. Learning to lead with love is something the world needs more than ever. This video is one of the best lessons on exactly that.

Currently in tears as I listen to this video...Growing up, my father was an abusive alcoholic. I had a mom with bad cancer and a horrible father, eventually it got so bad I started cvtting and wishing I'd just die. Now, as I'm older I've noticed my wounds are still left open, and my pain from my father has made me crave attention from my peers. I actually spent about a year in the mental hospital for svicideal ideation. Thank you for these words and phrases, my inner child can now picture life with a good family so thank you!

Wow. I really needed this. The hardest part about my trauma for me was hiding who I am and how I felt, and becoming the ideal person I thought my parents wanted, pushing away everything that ate away at me and putting on a show for the, people and myself. And because of this, they think think they did everything right, and idk how im going to tell them to get them to see me, and that really hurts.

I think that the worst part about being a man is that nobody ever says they are sorry. Sure somebody bumps into me in the supermarket they say "My bad man. I'm sorry." But nobody ever apologises for the stuff that actually hurts or matters to me. My folks, my brothers, my exes, my friends, my coworkers. I'm just expected to deal with it. And when I have tried to open up I've about stuff that bothered me or hurt me, I was ridiculed or made fun of. There was a lot in this video that was very cathartic to hear so thank you Frivvi ❤
