(Romans 4:17) If it’s not in His will I won’t get it lol (And that’s definitely happened) We all have different relationships but I do kind of put expectations on my prayers backed with scripture of course. I know this might sound like I have no fear of God 😩, but I pray & talk to Him like my Abba, which is more intimate ..when you spend a lot of time with Him, His desires will be your your desires eventually 😊

Christ himself asked for God's will to be done before His own when He begged God for another way for our salvation that did not involve the agony of the cross. He still surrendered - trusting God's will above His own (Luke 22:42). He was mocked on the cross (Matthew 27:42) for not using His power to save himself from his fate, but He trusted God until his death. I personally believe humility is the foundation of faith in God. Surrender to God's will requires a great deal of it. As people we struggle to be as humble as Christ, who being God in the flesh, washed his disciples feet when they refused to do it for each other out of pride. Many blessing to all. ❤
