This resort just looks stunning even by the vlog. I can't comprehend what the experience of the scenery must be in person. I dream to vacay here for our honeymoon
I love your Carolina Tee Shirt. My cousin's daughter graduated from USC in 2023. & their son is currently a Freshman there in the Sports Management Program. Congratulations to Dawn Staley & The Lady Gamecocks & all Gamescock's Nation on winning the 2023-2024 Women's Basketball National Championship. Go Cocks!
Our tips range depending on how much our butlers do for us. For example, I broke my foot at Southcoast. We only had 2 butlers there and tipped $600 for 7 nights. In St Lucia and Grenada we had 3 butlers each trip. We always try to tip close to $25-30/butler/day. 👍
We are currently booked in the waterfall luxury suite, and wondering if we should upgrade to a club level room. Not sure how hard it is to get reservations without club level. Any thoughts?
Enjoy your trip! You will be fine without the upgrade to get dining reservations (I do not believe they favor room category when it comes to placing a dining reservations). We like the club level rooms, it would come down to personal preference. Hope this helps!! Thanks for tuning into our channel!
Hi Stuart! Thanks for tuning into our channel! The airport is close, but there's little to no noise from it. There's a fairy large hill in between the resort and the airport. Also, the Grenada airport is very small and does not see many flights at all compared to other Caribbean destinations. Hope this helps!
Hey Ron! Thanks for checking out the channel! It probably is, we certainly can’t recommend that as travel professionals, that said, it’s your room and your privacy. 👍
I noticed in the video no one in the ocean is it not a good ocean to swim in or was it just the timing of the video? Also what were the yellow things in the ocean?
Hey John! Thanks for checking out our channel! If you pause the video around the yellow floating rings you’ll see people in the water. It’s very swimmable and has pretty good snorkeling right off the beach! The yellow floating rings are sturdy rings grounded to the bottom of the water and you can lay on them hang out by them (great to hold your drink while your floating in the ocean!). We enjoyed the beach here (and the swim up bar in pool too! 😃). Hope this helps!
Thanks for the video! I’ve been to Le Blanc Cancun and Cabo twice. Just booked Sandals Grenada for the first time and super excited. How do they compare as far as food and drinks?
Hi! So sorry for the delay! We LOVE Le Blanc resorts (we’ve been as well). They are fairly similar but I would give Le Blanc the edge in food. Grenada is much more about the destination. That said, Grenada is our favorite Sandals and the destination won’t disappoint. Enjoy your trip!! ☺️
Hi Joe! Thanks for watching the video and checking out our channel! Yes! There are the Skypool butler suites that we have a video of on our channel. The views are stunning! It’s one of our favorite room categories!
Hi!! Thanks for watching! Everyone has different budgets and options when booking. Personally, we feel the butler service at Sandals particularly is worth it! Other resort brands offer a butler level service and they don’t really match the personal service you’ll receive from a sandals butler. If you can swing it, it very much worth it!!
New subscriber, when is the best time to travel to Grenada, we usually take our trips on our annivesary which is in September. I will have to reach out to plan our next annivesary trip for 2023. We already have our trip plan for this September. Do you guys also plan in state trips?
Hi!! We’d love to help you plan the perfect anniversary trip! Grenada really isn’t limited by weather so anytime of the year is great. It’s one of the southern most Caribbean islands so the climate is fairly consistent. We do plan Disney, Universal Studios, and Vegas packages. Thanks for the subscription too! ☺️
What are your thoughts about this resort compared to St Lucia Grande? It looks newer, less excursions/sports available? More for relaxing and beach time?
Hi Nia! That’s a good podcast episode for us to do (Grande St Lucian VS. Grenada). We’ve been to both recently and have a vlog on the Grande. Grenada is newer and is a good bit smaller than St. Lucia. I like the dining options at Grenada alittle better. There’s more off resort activities to do in St. Lucia. Grenada has more of a laid back feel. Hope this helps!
The butlers escort their guests to dinner as a gesture of service. They will also seat you and grab your first drinks and water. It’s an enhanced level of service.
Hi Matt! It is our top Sandals resort, it is really hard to compare the smaller island all-inclusive resorts to larger destinations like Mexico. It would really depend on the individual traveler travel style. That said we LOVE this resort!!
What is the pool/beach chair situation like in the summer? We are trying to choose between Butler level and Club level (I like to be on the beach). Willing to upgrade to Butler and be away from the beach if it means being guaranteed a lounge chair. :) Looked empty and a non-issue in your video, though.
Hi Kelly!! Thanks for watching! We were there during lower occupancy. The butlers will guarantee you a space on the beach (a nice one!). They will reserve you pool or beach chairs with your name on it and a cooler full of drinks. Our next podcast episode will be “butler or no butler.” We will probably release it this week. Honestly, we love the butler service, if you haven’t had one at sandals we highly recommend it. There’s no other personal service like it at any sandals resorts. Hope this helps and feel free to reach out to Janet anytime Janet@PenyakTravel.com ☺️
Hi! Thanks for watching! The beach at Grenada is nice, it’s not the biggest, like what you’ll find at Negril or Antigua but it’s very very swimmable and has really nice views and blue water. If you’re choosing between Barbados and Grenada we would definitely pick Grenada over Barbados, we’ve been to both resorts and Barbados as recent as a few weeks ago.
@@PenyakTravel Thank you for your reply! We are trying to find the best beach experience overall. Love to do snorkeling, so you would say Antigua over Grenada in terms of beach? What about St. Lucia? Thanks again!
Hi! In Grenada all guests have to be vaccinated. However, we feel that feeling safe is really up to the individual, what one feels is safe another may not feel as safe. So it’s a hard question to answer. Personally, we felt fine there, but that’s just us.
Hi Dennis! Tons to do, we go to this resort often and did not to much off the resort during this particular trip. They have good scuba/snuba diving, snorkeling, 4x4 tours of the island, deep sea fishing, tons of historic tours, river tubing, and a lot of non motorized water sports at this resort. Hope this helps and thanks for tuning in!
The pricing will vary depending on the time of year you travel and availability at the resort. As an example this October 29th is $1,700 per night for the room we had. Thanks for watching! ☺️
Hi!! We believe they were probably around 80% occupancy. The resort is nicely laid out, we’ve been during peaks where the resort is nearly full and it feels the same. You can get resort certified at the resort and they do dive trips daily! We didn’t do one but have done them at other sandals and they are a lot of fun! ☺️
@@PenyakTravel thank you. I want to go but I was hesitant about huge crowds. Great video! However, I was hoping for more info on COVID protocols. In particular, in the unfortunate event you *do* test positive and can not return to the states; where must you quarantine? Can you stay in your same room? Or must you go to a particular part of the hotel and remain there until you can test negative ? Can you leave your room for at least a walk on the beach? It seems to be very safe there in regards to Covid, but I'd be concerned about a false positive. Thank you in advance!
Hi Margaret, thanks for watching! In the event you test positive the day before you leave you could be moved to a different room. You can’t leave the room, you can go on the balcony. You have to quarantine for 5 days. These are United States regulations, not local Caribbean. If you do test positive, you can test again every day, if you test negative before the 5 days are up you can leave quarantine early. At the end of the 5 days, regardless if you’re still testing positive, you can return to the U.S.
