I would be concerned about the bolt threads cutting into the rubber bands, but this could be very snazzy with some similar/specialized threaded mechanism.
It looks like you're peeling a whole bunch of rubber off between two bolts. Technically very fast. But none of the satisfying clunky/clicky noises. I love what you do regardless. Keep making cool stuff.
You know, your newer Blowback mechanism could work quite well for a semi-automatic shotgun or perhaps a semi-automatic comblain design. A bolt would be lighter than a slide and due to the power of multiple smaller / one comblain band I imagine it might work even with a 4-spoke rotor for higher capacity.
