      Okay but listen we have species from every time period, out of 1 billion animals of a specific species like 1% would fossilize but that’s still something we would find fossils for
      We haven’t found any full transitional fossil providing physical evidence for evolution, the ones we did find are heavily incomplete and scientists do bias reconstructions of their fossils and make assumptions of certain bone structures even though we don’t even have the fossil to prove it
      I saw that scientists say an ancient dog species is the common ancestor for whales today, and yet we haven’t found a complete transitional fossil with the blow horn on the head of the dog, it just wrongly gets added there by bias scientists

    Charles Darwin envisioned a vast number of transitional forms in the evolutionary process.
    In "On the Origin of Species," he suggested that the number of these transitional links between all living and extinct species must have been "inconceivably great."
    I think it's pretty clear, I mean Darwin himself said it.

      Darwin was correct. There have been an enormous number of species and individual organisms over the hundreds of millions of years of multicellular evolution.
      Darwin also posited that while some could be found as fossils, the overwhelming majority had been lost forever, as fossilization is very rare. This is also correct (though we have probably found more fossils by now than he thought possible).
      The guy in this video incorrectly inflates the numbers to absurd heights and then lies and claims that the transitional fossils that exist don't exist. On JUST human evolution we have remains of thousands of individuals at various stages, when but a single one would disprove his position.

  • @michaelramon2411

    I sometimes wish that I could be so convinced I was right about something that I could openly and flagrantly lie about my position and not realize internally that this means that I'm probably wrong.

    @XaeeD Год назад +21

    The nomenclature has long been adjusted, though. This idea of "transitional forms" has fallen out of use. The only ones that keep using it are Christians and Muslims. You can't pinpoint a transitional form. Any individual biological organism has its own morphological features and functions. Trillions of transitional organisms implies that there's an end result that is being worked towards, and that all of these preceding trillions of individuals were just there to get from A to B. You might as well view each individual as the final result, which would in fact be somewhat accurate, from the perspective of the individual, while it's alive, as it would exist in the present moment, and be the latest form to have emerged. This would apply to all organisms then. The problem here is that the dividing lines are rough and somewhat arbitrary. How do you draw the line; "This is species A, and this is A, and that's A, but now here we have B!"? While the process is gradual, involving many individuals reproducing, and passing down mutations. The fossil record is huge, but fossilization is in fact very rare, and we can't get a clear-cut evolutionary journey from A to B represented in actual fossils. You find windows in time; snapshots, and with enough findings, you can start to connect the dots. If this evolutionary process never happened, you'd expect to find the fossil of a modern day cat among fossilized dinosaur remains. So gradual morphological changes over long spans of time seems to be how life on Earth diversified. So what? Does that disprove the existence of God? I don't see how. If you don't think that the changing of the Earth's continents over time disproves God, or that speleology disproves God, or that meteorlogy disproves God, then why would evolution be such a big problem? You can just say that if this is how organisms diversified; then that's how God created it all. What's the problem here? The problem here is singular. There's literally one part of the theory of evolution that theists might object to, which obviously pertains to mankind itself. Adam did not evolve from a preceding lifeform. Does that mean that the whole theory of evolution is false? Does Islam spell out how creatures come to be? It does, in some cases. Adam and Eve, of course, but then there's also the belief in the bodily resurrection in the hereafter, which entails the reanimation of the entire human race, without anyone having to be born, or having to evolve. Angels are created in a different manner. Devils are created from a smokeless flame of fire; electricity possibly. A figruine of a bird is created from clay by a prophet of God, and given the spark of life. A camel emerges out of the side of a rock-cliff. A staff transforms into a coiling serpent. There will be bananas in Paradise; disconnected from the bananatrees we have here on Earth right now. Not evolved, but similar; they're still fruits. There exist beings that are uniquely created, such as the anti-Christ, perhaps the Jasaasah (i.e. some kind of demonic sasquatch), the Buraq, right? Not a mule or horse, as it has wings and can enter the higher realities of creation; so disconnected from other animals. But as to the rest of the organisms that live on the Earth; extant and extinct: the Qur'an doesn't specify the modality for. God creates whatever He wills, however He wills. Besides, according to Islamic occasionalism, there isn't any real cause and effect in the world anyway, so even if evolution for the majority of organisms appears to have happened; then everything that ever happens in the universe, at any point in time, needs to be brought into existence by God, and as a present moment passes, so does everything that is, and the non-existence of the universe is simply what we refer to as "a moment ago". Creation is constantly emerging. It's not chaotic, it's not random, but it's also not because of preceding contingent events, as everything that is now is annihilated right as the next set of incidental characteristics emerge. Evolution is change. And change is the cessation of one characteristic, state or being, and the emergence of a new reality. Cessation and emergence is annihilation and creation. If anything, the gradual morphological changes of organisms only proves the existence of the Creator. I refuse to blindly accept the false dichotomy presented to us by both sides of the conflict. I.e. evolution or creation. What about evolution IS creation. Evolution needs to be created, whereas creation doesn't need evolution.

    • @bashydee4936
      @bashydee4936 Год назад

      From the Abrahamic faiths it's the believe about Adam and Eve in paradise then banished and sent to the earth. Don't you see why evolution contradicts it. If you mean evolution as in humans have changed in shapes,sizes, and other features then maybe not. But evolution where we somehow split from monkeys millions of years ago and that all living things were once a single cell or whatever the usual nonsense is then you cannot believe both in conjunction with one another. Unfortunately when people say they believe in evolution they mean they believe in the common ancestor between us and monkeys and all other living things

      it is common knowledge that the fossil records have gaps, this whole theory is nothing more than an assumption that can easily be falsified. you stated that the idea of transitional forms has fallen out of use, and well I wonder why? because they would never be able to prove such a baseless theory as you admitted when you stated: "You can't pinpoint a transitional form.". you attempted to address his arguments by listing the numerous problems with this theory. you state that the process is gradual, yet there is no evidence in regards to this matter especially if the fossil records have gaps. and is understood to have gaps.

No, He's simply saying that you're claiming that there are hundreds, if not thousands, if not more transitional species without you having any factual evidence for that claim. And when you look at the fossil record, you realise that he's right.
      The fossil record is not huge, none of the fossils are complete, and there are no real transitional species, not even Tiktaalik or Archaeopteryx. So simply saying "look at the fossil record, it's gigantic, it's obvious he doesn't know what he's talking about" isn't going to give you any more credibility, but on the contrary when you know the reality of things. Also Not all scientist agree that the operators like mutation and crossover or their current form are sufficient to explain evolution theory given common ancestry as a constant (assuming common ancestry is a fact).

Actually, if you consider the concept of the formation of Earth, trees, mountains, the sun, and the moon in six days, along with other events like Adam being formed from clay and Noah's Ark, they are mentioned in the Bible and then copied in the Quran. Therefore, Christians also attempt to provide similar explanations.

      Your comment is stupid. God sent down religions when humans evolved (by his will) from our ape ancestors. He allowed us to evolve from our ape ancestors so that we would be able to comprehend his existence and gain knowledge of his power. You expect god to reveal religion to creatures who aren't able to comprehend the knowledge he will send. He created us so that we would know and worship him and him alone. In islam every animal prays to god in their own way. Dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures probably prayed to god in their own ways. Every creature has a different way of praying. Humans are supposed to prostrate and speak to pray because we are the most intelligent and greatest of his creations.

      @absd12321 Год назад +53

      You missed the point. He's saying even 100 forms we can't account for. The "trillion" comes from the arheist saying that through small adaptations over a long period of time we end up with human. Those small adaptations require trillions of small changes at allele frequency resulting in small changes to set generations. The "trillions" isn't meant to be a number that can be accurately quantified. Nor should it..the point Is it is a transitional period that occurs gradually. Yet we can't account for any of these transitions. Not even 100. Expecting trillions.
