Have to say these docs are priceless ... fantastic to see even in black and white ...well narrated also ... i was around in the last days of steam early 60,s ....as a kid i was an avid train spotter ...my father worked on the station platform ... so free no ticket required for me lol .

Then you mentioned `Silver Link` towards the end, a star of the film `O Mr Porter` with Will Hay Moore Mariot and Graham Moffatt. Based on the novel `The Ghost Train` writen by Arnold Ridley, Godfrey in `Dads Army` As a youngster in the fifties and sixties my grandfather took me to Snow Hill and New Street stations in Birmingham.
