Loved Maura since News Radio. Always looking for her work.
I will watch anything Maura does 🙂 Abby was my favorite on ER
I am not sure if I like her yet. Do you know if she is MAGA or not? Then I will know!
mine too
One of the most attractive and most talented actresses in recent decades
And by seeing interviews over the years, she seems like a delight to interact with
A very Irish look, no wonder she's so attractive!
I did a scene with Mariska Hargitay in the movie Plain Truth shot in Nova Scotia in 2003. She was a defense lawyer and I was a jury member, an extra, but they used a real courtroom so they couldn't move the walls. And in one scene the director couldn't get the camera where he wanted to catch her giving a long speech to the jury. So he asked me to sit in a chair outside the jury box, and they put the camera behind me, shooting over my head, and they used me so Mariska could get the eyeline right, and she looked at me the whole time doing her speech, which they did three takes on. Later during a break she came up to me said "great job" which made my day.
Oh wow! As a long time SVU ADDICT! I can totally understand how that made your day! I probably would have fainted! LOL!
That's such a cool story. A day to remember, for sure.
When she was very young she was stunning.
I remember her from NewsRadio. Great show!
I'm also a fan of NR
"Newsradio" was a great show. NBC completely mishandled it. I think the network aired it in 15 time slots in five seasons, which made it impossible to find an audience.
Great show, incredible cast, excellent writing. Lost a lot with the death of Phil Hartman. Crushed on Maura for awhile. 🥰
@@TerryM65 The episode dealing with Hartman's death was beautifully done. We're watching real emotion when a lot of the cast members tear up as Dave Foley reads a letter from Hartman's character.
@@emmcee476 Fun fact: If "Newsradio" had been picked up for a sixth season, the setting would've moved to New Hampshire.
I remember her as Audrey from Liar Liar.
Maura Tierney is still absolutely stunning.Nuff Said.
@@RobertParks-h7r watch the movie Dead Women in Lingerie if you want to see a beautiful young Maura
We love Maura Tierney! Any time she shows up in something I get excited. I have loved her since NewsRadio and ER.
The legacy of ER started the whole Medical drama genre
Wrong , city hospital from 1951 was the first one. 😁😁👍👍
@@LUC66631 i would bet most people remember ER. I've never even heard of City Hospital
@@emmcee476 Because it was for your generation haha. I doubt Gen Z would know or care about ER.
She was my favorite character in The Affair.
Great to have her back on a weekly series. 👏👏👏
It CLEARLY says "Maura Tierney"...But, I saw "Law & Order" my mind read "Mariska Hargitay"😂
One of my favorite actresses fell in love with her when she was on News Radio 📻 she played Lisa, Dave’s love interest but she was much more than that
Well, they only dated for a few episodes. And there was never any talk about marriage or moving in together. It was like Elaine and Jerry on Seinfeld.
@@trhansen3244 they dated for a few seasons I think like 2 maybe 3. But what I meant she was more that a love interest was she is an outstanding actress
She was great in The Affair series
Maura still looks good. She is one of my favorite actresses
Lisa Miller on News Radio was her best role.
She was so beautiful in News Radio and in one episode turned on her Boston accent.
love her on er.she was&still my fave on her season of er.
Yup , she was 29 when first started in ER , loved the show . 👍👍
"The claw! The cl- well I can't really do it."
Omg … Yassss!!!!
You're scared of the claw!
It’s odd that they don’t mention the classic sitcom, NewsRadio, nor the small connection Al and her have. As he guest starred on an episode.
@@billypolard yea. Sadly NR isn't widely remembered
@@emmcee476 True. But still weird he didn’t mention the connection.
@@emmcee476 I remember it as the third best comedy series of the 90s. No, Friends is not at #1. And neither is Cheers, though Cheers is clearly #1 for the 80s. Seinfeld is #1, not just for the 90s but for all time. Newsradio is #3 for the 90s. I also like that short lived comedy series called Ned and Stacey. But The Simpsons at this time was brilliant. So I can't just leave that out. It has to be at #2. Then there is Suddenly Susan. I have never watched it but I do remember enjoying some of its commercials. And then there was Mad About You. The less said about that series the better. It was created as a 'comedy' and yet never was funny. My stomach is churning right now just thinking about Mad About You.
I love Maura and the work she did with "Abby", ❤
Big fan of her work
Actress. She's an actress.
Thank you! This is driving me crazy!!!
She's putting Botox in the same place as Jennifer Aniston. The whole area between her upper lip and nose. Like Aniston, Tierney is a smoker, and Botoxing this area reduces those vertical lines from appearing when she purses her lips for a drag. Look how good she looked in that older Law and Order before a lifetime of smoking
Agreed. She was soooo fine in her younger days
I could not put my finger on what was going on with her face, I just could see something looked....off. Odd? Thanks for specifying what it was. WHY DO WOMEN DO THIS TO THEIR ALREADY BEAUTIFUL FACES???? She's always been so naturally stunning and now...get in the lineup of dime a dozen actresses screwing their faces up and looking the worse for it....
@@JessBeautyJunkie Agreed.
@@emmcee476 indeed she was
I'm pretty sure she stopped smoking after she had breast cancer in 2009.
SHE WAS AMAZING IN LIAR LIAR.
I haven’t seen her since News Radio. She still looks great!
Oh My.. She's my Girl Crush ❤ So good to see her!
Awesome in SEMI-PRO
I remember her when her character was called "the prettiest girl in radio".
Why didn’t they mention her work on News Radio? She was so funny on it.
Mariska Hargity used to be on ER before Maura was! :)
She was on Seinfeld before she went on ER. And Maura was on Newsradio before ER. And Seinfeld appeared on an episode of Newsradio. Seinfeld never appeared on ER, though. He did appear on 30 Rock. But not as Elaine's boyfriend. He did some AMEX commercials with Superman.
The L&O sound! :D
Maura is absolutely adorable
Maura is fantastic! Loved her on E.R. of course. But, there's a movie 🎥 no one seems to talk about which no one ever seems to talk about which is one of my favorite movies. OXYGEN. Maura and Adrien Brody. It's fantastic! A real tension movie. I hadn't seen it for a long time but when it came out on TUBI , I watched it right away. Love her ❤.
I've seen her a million times, but I could sit down across the table from her, and I wouldn't recognize her unless she went into character.
Come on--what about News Radio?!
I love her
I will be watching Law and Order. Only because she's going to be on it.
Stay away from cosmetic surgery ladies...
It's Maura's voice but not her face. She looks good but she looks like a totally different person which is sad to me.
I always thought her and Jennifer Aniston could pass as sisters.
Maura did a play a Cop before. She played a Cop in a Movie with Adrien Brody playing a Serial Killer. They left out the line what happenned to the former Female LIeutanent. . She said she didn't know. It was played by that Actress who was somewhat on the Chubby Side. Myabe that is why they got rid of her.
Blue Steel?
What happened to her face?
She aged like we all do
@@johnurban7333 Wrong answer. Yes, she aged, but she tried to fight it with Botox, which just makes things look worse. Would be nice for her to age naturally - but it must be tough. I get it.
@@ryanclarke7757 looks good to me
Yes! I was looking for this comment. I see a face that used Botox.
@ryanclarke7757 there is a former model, a skinny mini, she doesn't use makeup anymore and embraces her maturity. Paulina Porizkova. She is such a beauty. I think celebrities are talked into the knife or botox by their peers or handlers and they're basically fooled into doing it.
Today should have ran the E.R. Music, just to mess with Her.
9am
She looks like she's had work done, and not for the better.
Fly by Night.
I remember i used to think that she looked so beautiful on NewsRadio but time definitely hasn't been good for her
To be fair, that was never 46 years ago. Come on. Be reasonable.
Nobody wants to age gracefully anymore. Maura Tierney seems like such a lovely person, and she's always looked lovely.... So, why the heck is she one of The Botox People now? There are Botox Women wherever you look ... Julianna Margulies, Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Robin Wright Penn .... The list goes on and on... Quite depressing.
It's the industry that they're in. Besides, if they aged gracefully we'd see comments about how old they look now. They can't win either way.
Shania Twain just destroyed her natural beauty.
Terrible intro. Barely able to speak without stumbling
Loved her in the show the affair
Ridiculous questions.
Mrs. California
she is unpleasant on the show, by design obviously...maybe they'll 'soften' her a bit...I just know Anita and Kragen were enjoyable characters
Her plastic surgery doesn’t look good. She should have let herself age gracefully.
God what happened to her?
ER was great until it became the Abby Lockhart show. That character was such a downer.
I still liked ER. But yeah, she was a downer like a wet blanket😂. When she said she usually plays warm characters, I laughed thinking she’s more like a cat😂
Wrong answer. Yes, she aged, but she tried to fight it with Botox, which just makes things look worse. Would be nice for her to age naturally - but it must be tough. I get it.
That reminds me so much of Abby Normal from Young Frankenstein. LOL
Isn’t me or is Maura Tierney aging backwards?
It’s the Botox.
doesnt even look like her ,another actress screwing up her face
Just say no to cosmetic surgery.
Easy for you to say. You don't work in an industry that penalizes employees for looking older.
@@trhansen3244 lol employees
News Radio was spectacular television. Everything else she's been in is awful crap. It's a shame.
I could say the same about Julia Luis Dreyfuss. She has been just awful in every thing except Seinfeld. Her entire career.
@@trhansen3244 Agreed.
@@trhansen3244 how come she received several Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for the show Veep? I mean, if she's so awful in everything except Seinfeld....
She does not seem like a nice lady!
Bring back Camyrn Manheim with increased dialog for story.
What a waste of an excellent actress. I hope she's getting paid bucketloads; there's no other reason to do Law and Order.
Law and Order is the longest running tv show in world history. It is an honor to be part of that show.
